Great candid interview. Every SME (especially) or Corporate wanting to set up business in Thailand should watch this interview FIRST and read The Way Thais Lead - so they are not taken in by the blurb dished out by the BOI, offshore Thai Embassies and our own Government Trade/Embassies in Thailand. I agree with the potential of Thailand - and voice it often, however a lot must change. Is Pita the one to do this ? - ‘we’ can claim some credit for his success - he spent 8 years at school in New Zealand, living on a farm - the making of him! Two Thai colleagues and I want to write a book - THE THAI WAY ! - this phase is ‘heard’ in our workplace. 7 years as an employer in Thailand - my secret is, as much as possible to hire/do business with Thais who have travelled and preferably worked offshore because - THEY GET IT ! I ask them to ‘pass it on’ to other staff who have not been fortunate enough to travel - yet. I have worked with many nationalities and always encourage them to keep their culture/language but at the same time explain to them especially now to be completive, a business must have its own culture and this is ‘their culture 8am to 5pm’.

    1. 3:54 Beatles is band and cannot be compared with a pop group or any other k-pop group. 2. 4:46 all 4 auditioned to be YG trainees, where they practice singing, dancing, rapping and go through monthly evaluations. And weak candidates get eliminated, 4 members were selected for debut out of 9 trainees, then they spend a year together as trainees, YG also asks trainees to write songs. 6:24 their is no official report to confirm any restriction during training, it's all fan speculations. Only confirmed is - they can't go to clubs, can't get tattoos, and have to speak in Korean if they are foreigners. This applies to all YG group trainees. 6:24 blackpink name was decided after the confirmation of 4 member group. The trainees will have no idea what group they are going to debut, the initial YG plan was 9 member group called "pinkpunk ". But he decided to go with 4 members. 7:54 YG is production company same as other k-pop companies, and all kpop groups have producers and writers, that's how kpop works. Blackpink members do come up with concepts for their MVs, they have credits for writing some songs, Their title songs are mainly written by teddy park, Danny chung and bekua boom (American songwriter) Note that kpop groups don't have Ghost writers like Western rappers. 11:18 every kpop group from big companies have big team working behind, but not all become successful. The singing and rapping skills makes the difference. Especially rapping for blackpink since there are very few good female k-pop rappers 12:00 Teddy P has produced songs for other YG artists, but BP ones are big hits. 13:18 all big pop artists use writers and producers, just check the credits !!! But for k-pop groups it's get highlighted more saying they have their own producers. 17:11 again Beatles just cannot be compared with any kpop group/ vocal group.26:13 there are jo ghost writers, the writers get credits. 26:55 k-pop articles about blackpink are mostly misleading, anything related to them gets a lot of attention so lot of misinformation and fake rumours. You gotta wait for official YG report. Dudu du is Korean phrase which means something that looks cool or powerful. I suggest you guys should listen to blackpink songs that are not title tracks with music videos. The title songs are always going to have a catthy chorus. Try listening to blackpink b sides like the happiest girl, you never know, Rose - gone. People only watch blackpink music videos and think they know all blackpink songs. Listen to b sides.

Should have done more research, guys. YG is one of the agencies that doesn't charge for being a trainee. Trainees get free room, board, and some very expensive training, all with the hope it pans out in the end. As to the ethics of training, they're entertainment atheletes. Nobody says anything about atheletes training long hours and the girls worked until they were ready, nothing more, nothing less. I'm also surprised that you completely missed that BP, along with other Kpop stars, put in a lot of time for fan service. Before I discovered BP (by way of IU, who you guys should also do a show about since she's a singer/songwriter/actress/multimillionaire businesswoman/philantropist), I'd never seen a group which allowed much of their off-stage life to be shown to their fans. The girls always make it very clear they know the fan are what put them where they are, and try to show their appreciation by letting them see them in their off-hours just chilling, eating, or horsing around. We love not only their music, but their tight-knit friendship forged through all those grueling hours of training. We can see that they have become genuine sisters to each other, and we can see that in their ease with each other, as well as closing ranks around a member if they need help. I think you also missed that Kpop is, in many ways, the reaction to western pop music/idols. As opposed to the anti-American, anti-family, pro-drug bent of much western music, Kpop people revere their culture, their countries, and their families. They also work hard to look as good as possible both onstage and off. The girls have not only brought their hybridized music to the world, but are also ambassadors of the Korean culture and work ethic. Lisa's mantra to the people she's trained is "Practice practice practice." Rose said she couldn't dance a step before she went into training and now she's one of the best. The Koreans don't cut you any slack if you're not willing to work hard and push the limits of what you can do. That's certainly a lesson more people in the western world should take to heart. A good "B" for the episode. Now do one on Lee Je-eun, aka "IU" and make it an "A."

First of all, you called Justin as a blinks..I’m sorry when Justin opened his mouth and talked about Jenny line “kickin the door waving CoCo” instead of from Biggies waving 44, then comment about Jenny showing of her new bag CoCo Chanel.. if you’re a real Blinks.. you should a know Jenny 2:41 is a Chanel Brand ambassador and she’s advertising it just like when Lisa rap about Celine. Not all artists can deliver the performance how producer expects it. Don’t call yourself a blinks if you can’t get it right. Thailand used Chula Sakarat or Chulasakarat (Burmese! ကောဇာသက္ကရာဇ်: koza thakarit). Chulasakarat (Koza) is a Lunisolar calender. The calendar was launched in 640 CE in Sri Ksetra Kingdom (in modern Myanmar) with the epochal year 0 date of 22 March 638. It was largely a recalibration of then prevailing Mahasakaraj or Saka Era. It was later adopted by the Pagan Kingdom. The use of the calendar appears to have spread southward to the Sukhothai and eastward to Laotian states in the following centuries. The official adoption farther south by the Ayutthaya Kingdom and farther east by Lan Xang came only after King Bayinnaung's conquests of those kingdoms in the 16th century. Subsequent Siamese kingdoms retained the Burmese calendar as the official calendar under the name of Chula Sakarat (Culasakaraj) until 1889.

As an Instructional designer and adult educator, I realized a long time ago that gamification is very engaging and gets the learner involved in the learning process. It gets serious when the learner has some skin in the game of learning! From a pedagogical standpoint, older learners benefit from gamification just as much as children. This is one of the few areas where adults and young learners can process knowledge through similar interactive game content. Knowledge gained through this process has high retention rate.

In the field of Instructional Design, story telling is very important to an effective learning experience. Gathering around the water hole or fire was where our ancestors told stories and passed on knowledge.
