I respect the value of the finish but what about the build quality of the internal mechanisms? Has Colt decided to upgrade from the MIM trigger parts and made the all-important switch to forged trigger hand parts that were causing catastrophic failure on the Cobra? Has the trigger return spring been replaced to accommodate faster reset and return demanded by todays shooters? Has Colt made the decision to move forward with more comprehensive aftermarket support or is it going to be like the Cobra where grips, Sights and holsters are almost non existent? Customers demand aftermarket support in todays gun market .What is Colt going to offer me so I can do business with Colt again?

Appreciate the video, As a handgun hunter for up to deer size game with advance of commercial ammo components, as well as loaded ammo in .357, we are awaiting a 8”or 10” drilled for scope mounting as the Anaconda. For all around carry and range we also approve of your 5” offering as well as the three vents in the rib revealing the elegant design as was intended. Having built a 5” gun long ago from an 8” bbl. We had requested this upgrade shortly after the 8” was introduced in the early 80’s. Upgrading the rear sight screw to a #6 size will strengthen the elevation as well as accommodate the plethora of George Elliason sights still out there as well as the now Elliason Kensight available. Appreciate the upgrades especially the blued versions and look forward to the practical flat gray finish with the rubber grips. Continuous improvement with practical use will be still be the key for legacy building. It’s the one family heirloom that is shot and shared the will continue the COLT REVOLVER legacy with Snake guns. Kudos for the .22 in King Cobra. The .22 Python we created was a sleeved barrel with Officier’s Model Match cylinder. Still waiting for testing new variations. TRJM.

Overpriced JUNK! As per usual colt, those guns sucked right out of the starting gate and they had a recall. But that's not the point; the fundamental problem with a colt revolver is that it is not a Smith & Wesson and given that the new Smith & Wessons are a joke, what does that say about the little prancing-pony guns?

2 much money

I bought my TRR8 about 6 months before the new Python was released. 5 in. replaceable barrel, N frame (built like a tank), removable rails (top and bottom), performance center trigger, 8 rounds. The Python is prettier, but S&W has made a truly tactical pistol and I'm happy with it. The Python is beautiful but dated. Make up your own mind, I've made up mine.

I prefer the 3 inch model.

I bought a 4" model.. I would have preferred the 5" but it didn't exist at the time. I am saving for the .22 king cobra--wish they would have put wood grips on it to make it a mini python.

Polish feed ramp that will solve you're feeding issue. Mine did same thing out of box. I had 3 out of box of 50 i polished ramp & never had the problem again
