Another dick head
Highlight!!!🎉
That's only true recently, in 2010 they had both driver on the title race til the last race, with Webber leading Vettel into Abu Dhabi
Subscribed! I usually listen to the audio podcast while I work. One of my favorite f1 podcasts! You guys actually talk about Haas lol
Max was number 2 to Daniel when he started
Yes and Daniel left because he felt they prioritized max
They go through drivers like crazy
I really want to see Haas-Toyota become a deeper relationship. Less feeder teams, less "dedicated" B teams, more teams all fighting for the front.
I think it’s because he was sooooo pissed/frustrated with the whole emotional blackmail radio messages to him…. So he was just not in the mood for any of that atm…. Little bit childish but like also Lewis was like ahhhh I remember these days of being young twenties and. And also like yall said Lando is also probs pissed bc of Al ppl it’s Lewis& like yall said homie doesn’t know what “win as a team” “give place back” sounds like …Ever 😂😅
Original days of thunder might be my favorite Tom Cruise movie!
Just came across this channel, honestly assumed you guys were a bigger channel as the content is super well done! Love the energy
@@Tedwa thank you! 🙏 We very much appreciate the support.
Monza doesn’t disappoint!!! Points are points!!🎉🔥
I feel famous, thanks for answering my question. The Dutch GP felt like Lando's first legitimate win. Let's see if he can keep it up.
Love seeing Parker back! Always good vibes
Hahah the final word is so on point.
In all the recent races since McLaren has become competitive and Lando started getting more podiums, I feel like he had always come short of getting the win because he has a poor start of the race and really comes alive on the last stint and had quicker pace than anyone but it's always too little too late. Why do you think that is?
Love this question, mind if we save the answer for an upcoming episode?
@@fastonespodcast I'd be honored!
All business Piastri 👔
I hope he stays forever
Brudda you have to remember McLaren is in a battle for the constructors championship they haven’t won it since 1998. So taking measures to firmly secure a 1 2 isn’t a bad decision in my books.
I hear that and I do understand that logic, but I can't help feeling it was unnecessary as a strategy on this particular race. Maybe it would be different if Oscar and Lando had both won races before this happened?
Literally insane how we've been rooting for Piastri to get a win all season and it became the most underwhelming win of the season. Lando was also robbed of any chance to genuinely win the race over Oscar, which is a bummer.
Justice for both Oscar and Lando. ⚖
Americans talking about F1 is comical. 😂
Kevin's Canadian.
Hi I’m the person talking and I just want to say that you hurt my feelings and are gate keeping and I think that’s rude and hurtful and I’m calling my mom
"max is a genius, he does what every other driver has been doing for years, but it's him doing it" yeah that's why i stopped supporting max, people are always praising hm for random stuff that everyone does and blaming everyone else for stuff that he does all the time. There's a french skit about the good and the bad hunter. "The bad hunter sees an animal, he aims, and shoots. The good hunter sees an animal, aims, and shoots, but... err... well... he's a good hunter". This is exactly that.
We're not Max "fans" by any stretch, however, credit is given where credit is due. McLaren and Lando went to the wrong tire and Max, as well as Lewis, made the right calls at the right times. The discussion here is about drivers being the best gauge for grip in varying weather conditions. Since the teams can't truly make that choice for them, some get it right, others get it wrong.
The pressure for the big sponsors to hit hard RB if they fire checo, knowing he’s like 40% of the revenue for RB racing.
Definitely. The hard part is the loss in revenue competitively. Only RB knows where that threshold lies and knowing them, if it is remotely close, they'll make the call.
He is cooked. I do think everybody was putting too much pressure on him, but he was the one to create all the problems
Then the team chose the worst possible strategy for ricciardo's race. They screwed him
Lewis has been doing this for years!
Hardly, he’s been caught out on the wrong tyres often, including Abu Dhabi 21.
@@Ehm593 That's not with variable weather conditions. Those decisions lay entirely with the team, as they're following a predefined strategy. In those situations, the driver provides feedback on tire deg'. When weather is introduced as a variable, the driver pretty much makes the decision on their own, based on feel with some feedback from the team in regards to the crossover. That being said, drivers have been doing this for decades. Lewis wasn't the first and Max won't be the last. It's just part of their job.
@@Ehm593 AD21 was literally anyone but Hamilton's fault lmao. The race simply shouldn't have been resumed, I was a die-hard max fan since 2016 and RB fan since the Vettel era and even I know that. Lewis won that title. Merc made the correct decision based on the rulebook that had been used for years but they didn't anticipate that the fia would throw it out the window for drama and money. You literally picked the worst example possible.
@@coltith7356 Oh it’s actually the best example, because everyone remembers it. It was a one lap shootout for the wi n and the title. They both had the same opportunities to box for new tyres. They were both on exactly the same number of points. Verstappen had won more races though. But Hamilton/Mercedes decided not to pit on safety car and we’re caught out on the one lap that counted. Best example ever.
@@Ehm593 Except that's not how the f1 rules work, the "one lap that counted" shouldn't have been raced according to the rulebook that every team agreed upon, but I guess if you ignore that you point looks better so I get why you discarded that. Max also won more races because he was allowed to push/hit Hamilton off whenever he wanted without even being investigated, let alone penalized and had a sacrifial team-mate whose sole job was to block Hamilton even if it meant finishing out of the points, but you conveniently forgot to mention that too. Stop being dishonest please. Even I as a max fan never said stuff this out-of-touch with reality. You can't blame merc for expecting the fia to respect their own rules, even if you really want to. Now if you really want to prove your point, just choose another race where it stands, instead of digging a hole under your feet. Maybe you're right, who knows, I'm not saying you aren't. But not in this instance, and you're losing credibility by insisting on this.
Tsunoda deserves Perez’s seat
Ricciardo's makes more sense for the team
See ya later Checo 👋
SO TENSE 😬
level 💯💯💯
Thanks for having me ! @fastonespodcast
Great episode! The Haas Chap rules!
Liquid Death is fantastic! Great choice sir!
Thank you thank you
Daniel would be great with Haas but wishful dreaming for sure! Ocon is not the pick at all...
We've got our fingers crossed... but it is starting to seem inevitable and that Ocon signing for the team is the worst kept secret in the paddock. BUT HEY. WE CAN DREAM.
@@fastonespodcast worst secret for sure! Carlos going to Alpine now? Seems better than Williams!
I'm holding out a hope that Carlos "Sainz" for Red Bull, Max then storms off mad to Mercedes, and we get a chance to really shake things up.
@@fastonespodcast ohh that would be absolutely something! Would Daniel stay with VCash then?
@@kumaniac12 If Max stormed off to another team, I could see Red Bull feeling like they could give Daniel the chance. 🤷 But admittedly, all this feels like a very unlikely dream. Haha.
I don't know if you count this because it's more of a documentary, but Talladega Nights had real racers playing themselves in there too, for movies that used real athletes.
It's definitely hard to draw the line between reality and cinema on this one...
I'm just discovering you guys and you're easily my new favorite podcast, I don't know how you guys don't have a bigger following.
Things we love to hear... Thank you for listening!
Episode 82 is filled with expert analysis, form and function expertise, size and dimension discussion and none of it has to do with racing! 😂🏎️
We try to keep it in lanes we are experts in, wouldn't want to give anyone the wrong idea...
Back to back!!! Hell to the yeah!!
Monaco was definitely a feel good race this year, but it was so uneventful…
Twister is a great movie! Pumped for the new one!
We are gonna be there opening night!
@@fastonespodcast I love it! I’m going to try make it that weekend too!
That’s not true mate you need to do more research
He was not the first one to win in debut btw
Obviously the guy who won the first NASCAR race did the same thing 😉✌
Three major things gave SVG the advantage that day. Thats not to discount his victory as it was well deserved, but they are important to consider. The Nextgen car is much closer to a V8 Supercar than a traditional NASCAR. Between the upgrading to coilover suspension, opening up the differential, adding underbody aero, and changing from a 4 speed manual to a 6 speed sequential, its a whole new car for the NASCAR veterans. However, SVG has had these components for years Second, this was the first ever "street circuit" NASCAR has raced. NASCARs 'left right' tracks consist of "Rovals" and Road Courses. Rovals being tracks like Daytona 24hr and Road Courses being tracks like Watkins Glen. Chicago however was our first ever race at a track made up of tight 90s. Meanwhile, V8 Supercar drivers have mastered street circuits. Finally, NASCAR has used the wet weather package a few times in history at exhibition event (like the Suzuka race), but its only recently started happening at points Cup races over the last few years. SVG Meanwhile is an experienced rain racer. With all three of these factors combined, SVG had the upperhand. All that being said, im a Trackhouse Racing fan so i was rooting for him all day. He executed perfectly and deserved his win. I would also like to say the Xfinity car is MUCH closer to a classic NASCAR and his performance there has been proof that his win was no fluke. He not only drives the old car well on the oval, but he is a serious competitor for the win. When he goes cup full time, he will eclipse Montoyas accomplishments
Love it. Great analysis and likewise, we'll be cheering for him! We're stoked he pulled off the win in Sonoma!
Who won the first ever nascar race then?... That makes no sense
NASCAR sucks go back to win it used to be Winston cup it was more exciting and the cars were better than the ones today guarantee the old cars will smoke these new cars
Sad to see him leave the Aussie v8 super cars. But excited to see what he can do on the cup series
