Spent like 150 hours on Mechwarrior 2. These "SF Machines simulator" were, and remain unique and one of their kind to this very day. The narrative depth of the Battletech lore compete with those of 40k, it's so expansive it allows countless iterations of the game in endless story arcs. The one thing that the originals were missing were intermission lore and character consolidation, you had to read through enormous transcripts from the books, which was an interesting pauses in-between action-packed sequences, still to see them finally , actually materialize through CGI and in-game navigation of your home base is an excellent addition, a bit à la Star Citizen. Gosh, I'll have to wait to consolidate both my current professional and personal situation before cutting myself away from the world for weeks in order to fully dedicate to its seemingly massive density :D

that looks incredible. I pray that the game isn’t as easy (boringly easy) as DQ11. If it’s challenging and difficult, games like that are simply more fun because you can enjoy the story better and immerse yourself more, making you feel like a real adventurer.
