Si también me lo gusté. Pero a introducir más al Yerba Mate decidí cambiar el nombre.

I spent some time in Argentina and fell in love with Mate. When I returned home to the US stuck with me. I've had a mate every day for almost 9 years now. It's a beautiful thing.

I'm not sure what was offensive. I like this Yerba. Uruguay has been pumping out some incredible Mate combinations and flavors. I'm grateful for you guys and what you're doing in the game.

Yeah. This one withstood the boiling. If the mouth of the bombilla is super narrow then a zip tie gets in there nice. Also, the zip ties are abrasive and get things knocked out.

That's how the chimarrão comes. It's a theory but I feel the flavor lasts longer. The chimarrão gets super foamy and wonderful. Call it a Happy accident.

I'd get something just like this. Not too big and metal. I use these little cups out of convenience and their size. If I use my bigger mates I blow through yerba really fast. But remember Mate is always a very personal experience., so try things and figure out what works for you.

I'd treat it as a material to be composted. I've read that it needs to be composted and treated like a high nitrogen manure. The yerba can be harmful to plants, potentially adding acidity to the soil, if its added straight to the garden. I'd chuck it on the compost pile and let it add life there and then do what you will with it. That's been my approach more recently. I made a video before about composting yerba and I am adding it to my garden beds straight from my mates. This is no longer my approach though. Great question. Thank you for asking.

A friend of mine called it "rabbit food" the other day.

The little sippers are awesome. They are great for proportions too (not using a ton of yerba). My filtration, bomba setup, thats all preference and there are definitely other things Id like to try but find what works and figure it out. Happy sippin brother. The mess is part of drinking mate. It just shows that you're in it.

I'm not sure if they smoke the yerba, but the yerba, in my opinion, tastes smokey. It all depends on on how they prepare the mate. Probably by smoking and aging. A quick flash of flame on the leaves traps the medicinal properties of the yerba in the leaves.

Sometimes the mate can have poor suction. Let the mate absorb a little water, pour a little hot water in, and cover the bombilla when you set it. Then enjoy. It's a great yerba. Always great. It has good strength and lasts for a long time if you can make a good little mound. Happy sippin👍

I think so. Canarias is a heavy hitter. But it's an amazing mate.

Great question. Thanks for asking. The Straw ("Bombilla", or "Bomba"in Brazil) filters most or the leaves out. Since the yerba I drink and prefer are really finely cut and are almost ground to a powder, occasionally, you get some smaller particals coming through. But, this comes with the territory. Strong mates and great flavors. I dig it. Not eating mate leaves (😅) with a spoon but this method and drinking apparatus.

Yes. I love Chimarrão. Hopefully Ill find access to more Erva Mate, especially some "pura folha" varieties. That green and foam is something special!
