Should you Idol Swap now in SoD?
Idol of the Moon has been changed to properly effect Sunfire and Starfall. Now that it's effecting soo many spells, is it worth more than Idol of the Swarm? Should you Idol swap and use both? Lets take a look.

Those adds are fun! It's usually a Hunter or Mage taht does it for us though yeah.

How do you rate the Skyrider's Masterwork Stormhammer for BiS weapon? I see a lot of Balance druid on Warcraft logs using it, but no guides mentions it as BiS?
@@Nforsberg I’ve heard lots of opinions on it. Seems to proc a lot during Starfall, but sometimes it doesn’t proc at all and needs to be re-equipped. I haven’t simmed the weapon differences in awhile, but it’s a solid choice!
Great guide, thanks. Can you expand a bit on why you think DMC: Volcano is not that great, even though all the guides say it's amazing? He didn't say anything when you mentioned that.
The Int Proc is alright, but I've just never been a fan of trinkets that have random small damage procs.

It would've been great to know the rotation outside raids, like for dungeons Same with the hit cap FYI: Key to the City is BiS now Don't let fire mages or priests get it. They have their own BiS
Theres so much focus on hit, yet on the sims it prioritizes hit% WAY less, to the point of a highest dps setup on sims being like 6% hit... im not sure what to follow
I cant stand not being hit capped. I've heard 1% hit = 12 SP, But I'd still rather be capped no matter what the sim says!
lol i was able to do idol of moon snapshot>swarm snapshot>idol of wrath for rotation>swarm snapshot>wrath>swarm>etc. But not realiable.
On the normal rotation, why do we do 2 wraths if we're full mana and with full eclipse stacks?
@@leholie93 after dots are applied, wrath is better than a non buffed Starfire, so wrath is our best option as a filler until Starsurge is off CD.
The problem with macro idol swapping is that it incurs gcds while in combat like geez can boomies catch a break on anything. If you think about this through a raid boss encounter that lasts 60 seconds, you could be losing 4 gcds. Starfall should get all the benefits from moonfire talents 100%. A lot of the other classes that have runes with the same wording do infact get benefits from all the talents that effect said spell so why not boomkin's 1 feel good button.
This is a really great video It would be worth if one of you opened up a post in the community asking for all of these different things like off-hand enchant (same as shield), arcane/nature potions, etc.

It doesnt work for Sunfire/starfall? How the text reads it seems like it would.
They changed it to work for those spells. It now effects Starfall and Sunfire.

It now effects Starfall/Sunfire. Still does 33 SP for each one, not 17%.

Idol of wrath just not worth it anymore?
@@InTeamFunwetrust maybe only if you swap to it once you have MF/Sunfire snapshoted, Starfall is on CD, and IS is up after being extended by the Swarm Idol, for those 24 seconds IS is up, you could have it on for the Wrath’s you cast. 2% base damage of wrath though is about 6 extra damage per wrath…

How much for coaching boomkin cata? I’m always last on dps meters, and not sure what I’m doing wrong.
I dont charge for anything like that. I typically stream my Cata raids Tuesday nights on TH-cam if you wanna stop by, you can ask any questions you have.
I wonder how much of this has changed with the changes to eclipses, etc.

Btw what graphics card do you have. You’re graphics looks crispy for classic wow. I just upgraded to a 4070 super in my AMD 3950x 32 GB rig and mine does not look this good even with optimizing my gpu settings to the max. Maybe it’s cause I’m only running a 1440p monitor idk.
Hot take maybe, but give us TBC improved Faerie Fire. Makes us more important to a raid, solves the hit starved issue, AND allows us to better itemize to increase damage.

Thanks for continuing to make SoD Druid Balance content! The playstyle feels really great, but for PvE raiding the damage is really disheartening.
I’ve seen some boomies pumpin! Gotta have full world buffs/consumes though or else good luck getting more than 1.5k!
Leave it to Blizzard to make anything that should help Boomkins absolutely bugged and slow to fix, if ever.
