Somebody has said on social media at the weekend that they might have Anxiety and asked what medication to avoid. My answer to that was all of them. Taking Psychiatric or Psychotropic drugs does not deal with the root cause of a condition or problem. Despite what Shire or Lilly or McNeil or Novarstis tell you in their evil, amoral and wicked adverts. It is just dealing with the symptoms. Often taking these drugs make the anxiety worse and cause side effects you never had before. There is usually a root cause regarding how most people behave, and it is not caused by some non-existent chemical imbalance in the brain and most anxiety is caused by physical or social or environment situations. Not biological causes. Not only is the chemical imbalance theory of mental disorder unsubstantiated but it has also been widely and publicly refuted by a number of prominent psychiatrists, like Allen Frances and Ronald Pies. For example, if somebody has anxiety. Look at the source of your anxiety. When does it happen? Why does it happen? What are the situations where it flares up? What causes it? How can you prevent it? Can you avoid situations that make you anxious? If so then don't be in them or at least minimize them. Exercise and work out. Run. Walk. That makes you feel better if in moderation. I know it does me. If the anxiety is crippling, have therapy. Go for walks. Do what makes you happy and pleases you. Note that the anxiety might disappear if you aren't in an environment that flares it up or with people who cause it to flare. Try to rationalize why it happens and devise ways of dealing with a flare up. Same with so-called ADHD. If you give kids with so-called ADHD something to do that interests them or engages them, then their symptoms miraculously disappear. Put kids with ADHD in a classroom where they have a boring Teacher, like I have been in that situation, and my three kids were, and you will have been, or a subject that does not interest you, and you will not be able to pay attention. Why should you be motivated to pay attention if you have a boring or ineffective Teacher or a subject you aren't interested in? Nowadays you are often labelled ADHD. Particularly in the Big Pharma rampant USA. Same with Oppositional Defiant Disorder. I have two daughters born in February 1974 and September 1978 and a son born in May 1980. When they were at school, there were Teachers who the kids knew they could take advantage of and goof off and mess around in their lessons and classes. And didn't respect. I remember them telling me about this in their schooldays. If kids didn't respect a Teacher they wouldn't do what s/he told them. If they had a Teacher who was strict, and instilled discipline and they knew they couldn't mess around with them, all the class behaved. Nowadays a person who messed or goofed around in a class with a Teacher they didn't respect would be classed as having some illness. Even those with behavioral problems or what is classed as ODD. This nonsense hadn't taken off then but a neighbor recently told me his son who is aged 13, has this alleged condition. But, surprise, surprise, as soon as a Teacher takes charge of a class who instills discipline and respect, or makes a class or a subject interesting, he behaves. No matter what Shire or Eli Lilly tell you or shrinks who take their money or dogmatic shrinks who believe in the chemical imbalance nonsense or the DSM. Grief is not a mental illness. Being sad is not a mental illness. Anxiety is not a mental illness. Anger is not a mental illness. Love is not a mental illness. Lack of discipline is not a mental illness. Not paying attention or being bored when something does not interest you is not a mental illness. IT'S CALLED BEING HUMAN. Above all.... Buy a book that addresses the causes of ADHD or ODD or Schizophrenia or Bipolar or Depression or Anxiety and treats the cause. Don't let another crooked doctor tell you it's genetic. We have the entire genome mapped out and they don't know of an ADHD or Depression or Schizophrenia gene, and doctors cannot and have not measured dopamine, serotonin or any other neurotransmitter in the actual human brain Psychiatry is not medicine. It is quackery that is as reliable as witchcraft and astrology. It exists for the sole purpose of pharmaceutical profit and personal gain, egos and careers. It's an industry of injury and death. There is not one diagnostic test to prove any mental illness. The DSM is full of nonsense conditions there is no proof exists. Mental health is connected to physical health and mental symptoms can manifest from physiological illness. And trying to drug humans into a societal standard of behaviour is sickening. Giving kids Stimulants, Anti-Depressants and Anti-Psychotics. This has its roots in Nazi Germany. Do not fall for the bullshit. AVOID ALL PSYCHIATRIC DRUGS. THEY ARE CRAP. THEY ARE POISON.

I know that letting my children play video games had a huge impact on my boys it helped them expand their minds. I know a lot of people say that its bad but it is not. I am also a huge fan of exercise. After taking medication for years my son refuses to take it now. He definitely has to find other options. He will drink coffee and it helps bring clarity for him. His dyslexia has kept him from excelling in reading and has dissuaded him from reading regularly. However, anything he hears and sees he can tell you verbatim what was said and done. One year we went to California and went on saw a sailor tying knots. On our way home my son was in the back seat tying knots all kinds. I said where did you learn to do that? When we saw the sailor mom. We weren't there for more than twenty minutes. So in twenty minutes where I found it interesting but not exciting my son found a way to keep his mind occupied and did. It was amazing.

Hi and thank you for your comment. I do need to clear up a misunderstanding. The Learning Breakthrough Program has been used by the medical and education community since 1982 and continues to help children and adults learn and perform better. Simply put, this therapy is root level brain fitness. The DORE program you refer to, took the principles of the Learning Breakthrough Program and fashioned their own therapy, which is used by them alone, not the medical or educational community, since 2002. Unfortunately, Dore charged an outrageous amount of money for a bunch of expensive testing that is for the most part unnecessary. And, they claim that they somehow personalize the exercises for each individual. While they may give different people different exercises, I am unaware of any information that this has any relevance to any outcome. I am carrying forward Dr. Belgau, the programs developer, life work to help people learn and perform better in an affordable manner. Also, within 30 days of purchase, we will refund the kit cost with no questions asked. I am happy to speak with you by phone whenever you would like. There is a lot more to share and I assure you your accusation of me being a con man is totally misplaced. Please contact me at Louis@learningbreakthrough.com or call me at 561-373-3640. Sincerely………….Louis Weissman
