Exit Row Seat | Hawaiian Airlines A321neo Extra Comfort | HA43 SJC-HNL
Third time's the charm. I'm flying to Honolulu, again. Who isn't surprised at this point. This was actually for a school trip since the music groups got invited to do an invitational in Hawaii. Since some of my friends can be heard in the background, various sections of the video have been muted at their request. I managed to get an exit row seat, although no window, so this will be an interesting experience. I got seat 33B, which is behind the wing. Last flight I took on an A321neo, I sat in 35A, so not too far off.

I'm talking mid 80s but I do remember seeing this aircraft parked for months in Oakland at the old World Airways Center ramp while I was picking up a friend at Terminal 1. I was excited and thought this airline would announce a nonstop service to Hawaii from OAK but they went across the bay to SFO instead. World did the paint job and maintenance for Air Hawaii at that time. Loved that livery and the branding. Sadly they quickly ran into financial problems since Michael Hartley was way over his head about expanding to Japan and acquiring another DC-10 in just a short amount of time. They should've just focused of adding more intra CA-Hawaii routes instead. Just as Hawaiian was starting to do during that decade. Good job on the video, I think the only mistake they did is the coloring. Especially the stripes and flour looks too reddish instead of just orange. Overall I don't think we will ever see another replica like this again. Definitely a treasure to keep.
Very interesting to hear from. If I recall correctly, Hartley also had an airline called The Hawaiian Express, which operated out of Oakland and Los Angles, but also failed after a short period of operation. Would’ve been interesting to see what would’ve happened if either one of those airlines continued operations. AeroClassics is unfortunately known for having pretty shoddy quality control over their paint for models. Some liveries will look spot on, but others will look absolutely atrocious. @@pacificaviation3182 The Hawaii Express only flew out of LAX for CA to Honolulu. Never saw them servicing Oakland. But I'm sure they had plans expanding to the Bay Area, no doubt about that. If Air Hawaii was successful probably they would've been eaten up and merged into Hawaiian or United. United would of probably benefit those DC-10's for their Worldwide Cargo network.

I think that specific flight is normally an A330, my return flight did get downgraded to an A321neo though, wasn’t a bad experience though.
@@pacificaviation3182 yea, they used to use the a321neo for the flight to Honolulu but you get a good experience in both planes I love both.

Is the gear rollable?
Yes the gears do roll. However, since these are AeroClassics landing gear, they’re stupid fragile, so if you roll them a few centimetres, the wheels fall off.
