GLOBAL WILDLIFE CENTER Tangipahoa Parish Louisiana
Global Wildlife Center (Tangipahoa Parish)
If I told you there were zebras, giraffes, camels, and bison in Southeast Louisiana, you would probably think I’m nuts. But it’s true! The Global Wildlife Center in Folsom, Louisiana has a 900 acre wildlife preserve and this is no simple drive through experience. The Global Wildlife Center is one of the largest free-roaming wildlife preserves of its kind in the country! They are home to over 2,000 exotic, endangered, and threatened animals from all over the world.
The staff were all so amazing! They showed us around the kangaroo and capybaras’ areas and told us all about how the animals are cared for.
Safari Tours
For an afternoon of fun, you can take a safari tour and feed the animals right from the vehicle.
On our trip, we took the 4x4 Pinz Tour. This off-road vehicle can seat 8 people and allows you to get up close and personal (and off the main path). It’s $50 per person and in my opinion - totally worth it! If you’re okay with staying on the main path, you can opt for the Wagon Tour. Wagon tour pricing ranges from $15 to $21 per person and is a great option for families and larger groups.
Giraffes are considered gentle giants, which is no surprise considering they have the largest heart of any land mammal! Their hearts can weigh up to 25 pounds! Global Wildlife’s family of reticulated giraffes is growing, but not as quickly as the babies! At birth, giraffes weigh 150 pounds and can be up to 6 feet tall. On average, giraffes are 15-18 feet tall, and their tongues are 18-20 inches long. At one point, we had giraffes swarm our vehicle and reach their long necks right into our truck for food! Giraffes are my favorite animal, so it was a truly amazing experience for me!
The facility is free-roaming, so the animals, including the giraffes, can make the decision to approach the safari wagons to be fed. The giraffes love to interact with visitors and approach plenty of safari wagon tours, but they can’t guarantee it! If giraffe interactions are a priority, you will definitely want to take the Private Pinz tour, as the 4×4 can traverse in many areas of the property that the safari wagon tours cannot.
If you’re looking for a unique experience in Southeast Louisiana, this is it!

Former employee here, great video and spot on for the dry ingredients but I will say the restraunt uses fresh chopped for almost all the ingredients for an extra punch of flavor but I will say after making your version it was pretty much bang on and definitely more affordable.
I especially loved the little painting of the lighthouse 7:28

How old is she
Awesome 😎
How long take for tour ?
Enchanted Rock is an amazing place. Love the Hiking The landscape and the views!!! Great video!!! Have a wonderful day and weekend!!!😊
I lived in Portland for 3 years. There are many Restaurants, but really only around six that are extraordinary. The rest are standard tourist traps.
This is Incredible
Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for ❤

That's a really cool idea!
Thank you! We love how it turned out!
They rebuild it after it got burned down in 1899 ?
Check out all of the details on this property here: hurriedhostess.com/riverside-cabin-retreat-in-pigeon-forge-tn/
I wish I lived closer. I think this farm is so cool!!
Amarillo is a shit hole.
I like your channel but there’s one fatal mistake your making you want to use at least 2-4 hashtags two about the video and two about the type of video hope this helps ❤
How did you sign your for the Harvard tour ?
NIGHTTTTT ALLL THE WAYYYYY night flights are just more comfy and like fun when it’s at night
Why is my batter super gooey? I followed the recipe exactly
🥲🥲
Yum 😊
Stuff I'd get rid of. Mostly pretty trinkets involving time and money draw. Very popular though, but it's clutter as I see it.
I lived in Mass/Boston (college and then stayed) for 13 years, and I had so much fun living there. I've gone back maybe 200 times since, and I never get tired of it. This is a nice video that highlights some of fun things to do in Boston, but of course it barely scratches the surface. Everyone should experience the freedom trail, there is so much to learn about the forming of our country and what they went through.

That’s on my bucket list

You tried to visit the whole city but missed plenty. Good effort though for a weekend
Nothing but idols & graven images
❤❤❤❤
That looks soooo delicious!!
I went here yesterday and we ate burgers and played soccer
Thank you for this video. We will be in the Boston area for Memorial Day Weekend, but we are not familiar with the area at all and have only one day to see everything as we're short on time and there are other places on our to-see list), but you've condensed it pretty good. The Freedom Trail sounds especially interesting, so we'll probably include it in our tour. Can't wait, just hope the weather cooperates.
You can ask me for recommendations for food and fun things to do. Maybe take a harbour cruise?
Hi stacy!
How many MBTA stations are there in Boston?
Perspective… Slaves built that house. Sick slaves. Children fanned the slave owners while they ate their dinners. Shackles. 35 years life expectancy for the ones working the fields there. How do we glamorize slave owners homes. I don’t understand
Why you cut apple like that??
Restaurants in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach all close around 9:00 pm ,so you want to be at your chosen food destination by 7:00 or 7:30 pm at the latest. The Wharf is no exception. I think that the Ferris wheel operates until 10:00pm but all of the restaurants and shops are closed at 9:00pm. Not a lot of night life in OB and GS , but there is a lot to do. There's a car lot that specializes in old school muscle cars, classic cars , and cars that were produced in limited numbers that might be worth checking out in Gulf Shores. I believe that it's called "Gulf Shores Motors" or something like that. If it's still there, it's right off of Gulf Shores Parkway
Great video!!! When I was there, I hiked the Turkey peak 2:02 which was way harder than hiking the enchanted rock itself
Did you have a rental car? Or was everything easy to get around by foot?
Go to the beach, eat great seafood and drink!
This is the brightest video I have ever seen 😎
Todos crudos, wacala!
Thank you so much!! Heading to Amarillo next week for the whole week springbreak from houston too☺️
