Outlet for sharing my shooting sports passion, primarily the PRS/NRL disciplines at the moment but I still try to shoot a F-class or High-power match a year. I am also heavily invested in firearms safety as a DNR hunter safety volunteer instructor, NRA range safety officer with additional certifications in range operations/development and a bunch of stuff before I retired from the Corps as a Gunny in 2004.

I know you don’t want to mess with something that shoots that good but maybe buy another one and do some experiments with it like full length bedding I remember reading somewhere that some 1022’s like upward pressure on the barrel. I had a Walmart special Ruger 1022 with a gray laminate Mannlicher full-length stock and it shot very well and about any ammo you put in it. It shot CCI BLAZER under 1/2 inch at 50 yards. Wished I kept it got lazy about cleaning it so sold it and bought a CZ 453 varmint with single set trigger good shooter but ammo sensitive likes SK ammos haven’t tried higher priced stuff. Limited budget constraints this CZ 453 is the most expensive rifle I’ve ever bought. If memory serves purchased it in 2007 for 635.00$ tax included. I love talking firearms can you tell. Love your videos keep it up. 😊

Savage make really accurate rifles like any other brand some shoot better than others but from what I’ve seen most of Savages are very accurate 👍

Nice job Mike!! 👏 I missed this video along with several others. 😢 I think youlube is screwing with me! 😤 I am going to try this target, but it will not count as I will use my AR, and it has an optic. I was going to try on 3 power just for fun and to share your challenge. My AR is my hunting rig and it's deer season, so the optic stays on at this time. 😊 I don't even remember where the flip ups are, to be honest 😢

I still have to do the CCI SV challenge, and you throw this in on me? Sheesh. Question on the targets. Are the scoring rings the same as the NRA B8 repair?
eight ring is 6", nine ring is 4" and ten is 2". I added a black and white version of the target to the website that Skip Boyer tweaked and sent back to me if you have a hard time seeing the orange.

Hahaha😂😂 Good show man! Real world issues!!! I have a few Savages but only one 22 RF. I had a old military trainer that went to a friend. The one I have is a premium 93 maybe? Its in a safe so mot 100%. But I showed it a few times. Its nice walnut with grip and for-end ebony looking caps. Very pretty rifle. It has fine bluing and shoots very well. I have thought about a HB Savage 22 LR for S&G. ❤❤❤

Probably not Sean, trying to ez out or re-drill and tap the front action lug would probably cost 3X the initial investment, plus it shoots just fine with some 100mph tape!

No sir you can use either target, I added the new black version as a separate option on the website but in order for your target to count you must shoot THIS TARGET, shooting an NRA equivalent gives an unfair advantage due to the larger size and additional rings to use for a good sight picture.

I emailed you. I’m old, and my eyes are 68. I need a copy of this target that is black and not orange. Can you help a Jarhead Brother out?
Try printing it in greyscale or black and white and see if that helps picking up the center. I know when I have tried in in orange on a sunny day I was just holding center paper but if it was overcast the orange stood out better. I might try to rework the target over the weekend in B&W if I can keep the dimensions the same.
@@MnMarine1 Tried that. Came out grey scale. I messed with it and now have a black target on this same sheet. Thanks for your help though.

Cool video thanks for posting. How are you getting the video overlay of the SG data and you shooting? Is that a function of the APP?
It is, with the APP it will over lay the shot timer data and the pulse data on my phones recording.
Nice shooting Mike. The Eley Team was certainly showing its good side but then the Team Flyers show up. I have the same experience with it. I weighted a few hundred out into groups, then thickness and that certainly helped, but a lot of time doing it 😕. So what’s with the electrical tape in front of the action? 🤔

Scores updated. When my video posts It shows more contest info and a PCC change...it's out and replaced with 5.56. You still get an entry for 9mm! I think it was just too hard...I got 3pts btw 🤣
