To compare Covid to every day life is pretty special. People were fleeing high density cities and moving to suburbs. You’re not gonna go oh I see this person got a 2% lower interest rate I’m gonna charge 40k more. It’ll be a gradual move as demand rises. Lower interest rates doesn’t always mean higher prices either. It’s gonna depend on supply and demand at the end of the day.
Government could always enforce higher required down payments for a loan to be given. That would arrest price appreciation to some degree. However the big issue during the pandemic was that interest rates were negative in real terms. It’s not shocking people borrowed as much money as they could.

I have to admit I go to Lou’s more for the old school diner ambiance, and hometown atmosphere. Owner and staff are great, desserts are great!!’ The rest of the food , ehhh I wish was a lot better, it’s just so so. Would definitely be there more often if food was a little better. What about saving for closing cost? While living in Hawaii, we had over $15k at least for down payment. But we stopped and discouraged us from purchasing a home was because of the $69k+ closing cost we needed to provide! So we just told our agent that we will end the process. $69k closing cost + down payment! Please educate. * My family moved out of Hawaii to now living in Las Vegas, Nevada hoping for a better chance to purchase a home.

For any full time position working 40 hours a week you can approximate yearly salary by doubling the hourly pay so 25$ would be 50k and 50$ would be 100k. There you go

How do you budget for gas or food? Gas prices went up looks like I'm not going to work Thursday and Friday
Being hyperbolic and dramatic are definitely not the answer. Thats how children react to issues. Go through last months bank statements, see what your monthly spend was on food and gas. See if there’s any way to shrink that and if not, balance the rest of your monthly budget around those being necessary :)
