Years ago,A guy I knew bought a 220SE from the Beverly Hills Car club and shipped it to Australia ($35,000!) .It was worse than that one,and because the prices he got from shops here to rebuild the body were extreme ,He shipped the car to Latvia where they performed some sort of magic and returned it to like new condition. Anything is possible. 😁😁

Californias CARB has just banned all gas cars and even vintage cars and motorbikes, other states will follow. In EU the new Schlaboubve laws will bann all gas cars from 2027 on! In Switzerland you are not allowed any longer to drive with gas cars on mountain roads and passes any longer...(Heschlavvo laws)

Being a fan of your channel and living in Thailand as a German expat I have to contradict you a bit on shipping to Asia or Europe for cheap labour. Labour is cheap, but not if you have to find someone to restore a soft top or work on a classic car. Cheap prices apply to spraying an old Toyota red, or easy mechanical work. I have a S123, W 123, and Peugeot 504 here in Bangkok, so I know a bit about this :) I love your channel, Michael!

If you don't have the key for an 85 300D how do you get it apart? The driver and passenger handles on mine have screws inside the door as well. The passenger came off with no "tang" as you call it. The driver handle will not remove. It tangled in the latch mech. I have no key. Ignition key won't turn in the door handles.

Hello sir, hope all is well. Currently waiting for my new pump to arrive for a w116, quick question. We cleaned the area where the pump sits. What I wanted to know is oil dripped from this hole, not a lot, just a bit., should I be worried or can I just install the new pump when it arrives? Also we turned over the motor with the pump removed to get oil circulating as car stood a long time before. Could that cause damage or not(turning over engine with this fuel pump removed)?

Hi Michael, do you have a good way of diagnosing / finding vacuum leaks on a central locking loop? My w116 has a leak somewhere and the doors can only lock/unlock on a good day, it may be the master switch, but also other bits too. I was thinking some sort of vacuum tester?? How can I make one?

What's the best way of disconnecting the vacuum lines(w123) when removing the door from the vehicle? is there a connector block somewhere?

mine was leaking gas, drops. I replaced very easy but i purchase very shot wrenches 13mm new fuel lines also pump is cheap, as i remember $70 or something

Thank you Michael for this information I have a question: you referred to the emergency flasher switch. When my turn signals have an intermittent problem. When they don't run on i cycle the emergency flasher switch and they star working again.... for a while and then stop. Have you seen this?

Looks like the Classic Center sent you the upper windows seal for the soft top. There are separate pieces for the top and rear of window so it can fold away. Your video was a great help to me!
