wow! today by chance prime played clip on this documentary I did not know existed. Brought back so much memories. I use to visit Play de Record all the time I went downtown and Eugene was always so kind and friendly to everyone that visited. Thanks Play De Record and Mr.Tam!
Congrats guys! shit looks great!
My DDJ SX2 never sounded like this, it must be broken.
This video is pure gold
*PromoSM* 👍
Huh? Well I think it’s green? What’s the point of this lmao

Im coming down this week!
It's the tactile relationship you speak of.
You can toggle the tension on CD J Nexus series. That is the major difference between controllers and industry standard non analog-turn tables. You can make the nexus 2000 as sensitive or not as you like. Mine react just like my 1200's when set properly.
That dudes like YOU BASTID!!
PC i5 windows 8gb vs macbook pro core duo 2gb the winner is mac because serato is optimised for mac the result is equal for your video.
People who wants to scratch get you some 12s. People who wants to beat match, get you a controller. 🎙🎧🎤✌🏾
Your comment is flaud!! You can do everything a 1200 can do and more with a controller!!
Boss, my crew scratched, mixed, beat matched and triple decked with Tech 1200's and a rane MP24 .
@@KingTrump2024 that's what's up!
@@djshaunreed8215you lie.i tried playing a record on it and it didn't work😢
I started on Gemini 2000 but always played on sl1200 at clubs hated vestax TT
Great Video
...playing that torrented music 😂 ...nice song though 😘
Just a suggestion when recording video. If you are going to have background music while you are speaking always turn the music down.
It's all about SSD. Just get SSD
Bastid speaks wisdom. As an amateur DJ, I started off on a Numark NS6 digital controller and always had a feeling that it was overly sensitive. It's harder to pickup scratching vs using vinyl, but for mixing songs it's just fine.
hiblendmedia that’s a great controller to start on, my first controller was the ion discover Dj mapped to traktor
Late to the party here with this comment, but you're correct. I've used Numark, Hercules, Traktor, and Serato digital mixers, and even with the "slip mode" engaged, it doesn't work or feel like an actual turntable. I'm not sure if it's an issue with not having a moving platter or what, but I still can't scratch on my controllers, just feels like the sound wave moves too quickly to get the correct sound.
stupid ass video. you clearly dont know anything about this.
What is he saying in the minute 8.35.... a bastard what? I can't get it
That's his dj name, he's like it's like his artform.
“Bastard art form” - his point is that djing came from people using turntables in a way that they weren’t originally intended (and art was the surprise that came from it).
i just brought a macbook pr 2.7 ghz amd 8 gb 1887 mhz ddr3 can i run serato dj with no problems
i have a 2007 macbook core 2 duo 4gb ram can it run serato i bought it dirt cheap
i run a PC and always will no problems vert stable...just as long the music plays
Notice how he completely skipped over the fact that there is a Core 2 Duo inside the MacBook, which is better than a Pentium.
now on serato you can controll the size of the waveform by pressing the -/+ button on your keyboard on a Windows laptop
This has to do with the architecture of the two operating systems. I'm pretty sure they optimized this program more for OSX. My PC Specs: (CPU) AMD 5800K - 5.1GHz, (RAM) 8GB DDR3 2133MHz, 258GB SSD, 6 Western Digital Hard Drives. I've installed OSX on my Windows PC and Serato runs much smoother.
bull fucking shit impossible 5.1ghz in google they said 4.2ghz in turbo and 3.8 in normal
Black Edition dude, Black Edition... AMD unlocked CPU's can run quite a lot faster than the specs, for the most. I have my 4x1,5 Ghz laptop running @ 4x2,2 Ghz. The self test suggested that I could run it as fast as 2,5 Ghz, but the temps got closer to 60 degrees Celsius which is a bit too much, but no problems at all. 2,2 Ghz felt like a good compromise and it runs pretty cold at that speed. Don't know about Serato DJ, but I have no problems whatsoever running Serato Scratch live on Windows 10 on it with DVS. That's with 6 GB of DDR3 Ram and a 1 GB HD7670 graphics card. The hdd is the week link as it is a mechanical one. I only use it as a backup and for that it's OK.
EUGeeeeene ,lol.tdot dj say yeah!
OMG HAHAHA THE GUY THO !! XD
Terry or Krnfx is a great beotboxer I look up to as a beatboxer and makes me strive to be as good as him
You could have easily turned down screen updates to a low setting on the PC to throw off the comparison. In which I honestly think you did. The PC looks also to be in 16 bit instead of 32 bit. Im here because im in the market for a laptop. Im a pc user...BUT im looking into getting a MAC. But all these MAC fanboys lying or being sneaky with comparisons just make me want to stick with a cheaper PC with better specs. Can you prove the screen updates are not misleading? Im serious. If you can show that you are not lying about this....you could sell me on going mac....
Bill Hicks Get a mac i did 4 years ago never looked back. My brother uses a pc and it's very choppy and that even reflects in the way the jog wheel markers move on the midi controller.
+Bill Hicks yo man its serato it was made speficly for mac but they made for windows also but emphasized on the mac
in all realness....this really isn't a fair comparison between the 2 computers, even tho the pc had more ram, the macbook has a dedicated graphics card with a core 2 duo processor which is waaay faster than a pentium dual core processor anyday!! not really apples to apples even tho, without the comparison, macs are still better for music and production overall!!
looks better, but how is performance ? thats key.
freakn amazing Terry
OMG THIS GUY IS INCREDIBLE !!!!!!
thats guy screaming was awesome XD
What's the last song KRNFX beatboxes?
His own original
I've got same issue. I use a pc laptop with good specs, (2011 hp envy 14) after 3 months of trying... I still can't get the waveforms to run smooth in serato dj. Totally a software issue in my eyes.
It wont work on Windows 8!!!
Works fine on mine
You probably have an amd processor
I love you guys at Play De, but this is the most useless comparison I have ever seen. There is so much wrong with this, its a totally unfair and rigged comparison. The Mac has a far superior processor in it. The Mac has a pretty good video card while we dont even know whats in the Windows machine, so ofc it will have better frame rates. The Mac is running an SSD while again we dont know what is in the Windows Machine. Please do better.
Hi, sorry we didn't give you the PC specs. It is a 2013 Dell XPS 3rd gen i5 2.8 that turbos to 3.6 with an GeForce GT 750M and an Intel HD Graphics 4400 card. 8 gigs of DDR 1600. The Video Card has 2 gig ddr ram on it. The hard drive is 7200 rpm. So, spec wise the PC should smoke a mid 2009 Macbook Pro with a Nvidia 256 meg video card. So..it was a 3rd gen i5 vs an Intel Duo Core 2.2, and the Mac still beat it..btw..the mac only has 2 gig ram in it and running maverick.
Play De Record I'm not trying to troll here. According to what it's showing you have 12gb RAM installed. That's not with the video card which is listed separate on my computer. Also mine actually says i5 processor and then the model number and the speed which 2.6GHz-3.2GHz. 2.20GHz is what yours is showing and that can't be an i5 unless you have seriously underclocked it. My laptop has a 2.20GHz duocore in it and it blows. The jog wheel latency is terrible. My desktop runs the i5 with 8gb RAM and I haven't had any issues with latency on it. If that is an i5 processor then something is terribly wrong, mislabeled or not what you paid for. Seriously, look into that. That was an extremely awesome deal on that MacBook though. I can't find one anywhere and I'm not forking over 1500$ for a new one.
+Play De Record it say that the pc is a Lenovo with a Intel b960 processor not what you have described here, why the lies
redubd y
Pentium (!!!) CPU vs. Core2Duo will always fail. Useless comparision.
The guy yelling - is it really you, your giving me goose bumps! Bahahaha KRNFX rocks as always!
drake sucks
OH YEAH OH YEAH
1:26 (random guy,"thats not really you!") KRNFX in robotic voice("IT IS REALLY ME!) FUCKING COOL
You seem a bit visibly upset, why the long face?
That guy screaming should just shut the fuck up.
