Testing a car radio without having to install it, just connect it to a battery charger
Honda tm 110... if you have....vlogg it
Thanks for the suggestion. I do not have one but if I ever get ahold of one, I'll do that!
A perfect bike for around town, and it's in great shape!
It really is perfect around town! Even quick jaunts on the freeway if needed since it does have the 6th gear. Would give my kids rides around the neighborhood on this guy, perfect for that! Thanks for the comment!
I owned one same color back in the early 70'a. Loved it. And it would go! I had it up to 90mph late one night on an empty I-95 South! Screaming'!
Ha, love this! Thanks for sharing!
amazing ! :)
Thank you so much for the kind comment! She's for sale on Ebay as of a few minutes ago : )
i would not do this cause you might have too many volts and it might cause damage to your radio. Today they are really built with too many circuitry in them. Just hook up the same way to your car battery, The positive to your positive battery connection and the black negative to your car metal as a ground. Play it safe then sorry.......Or tap in a 12 volt acc in your fuse box. Then if it shorts out for some reason at least then it will blow the fuse not the expensive radio.....
Did you test your amps and volts while you ran the radio I wanted to know what voltage you had if I had a suggestion I would put a 12v car battery or motorcycle battery with the charger on the battery and then ran it you could possibly cause overheating or damage to your head unit or charger possibly
Hey, I was having same concerns but figured most "Car Battery Chargers/Jumpers" won't really go past 12v, unless it has a "Cold Start/ Boost Start" Option & is enabled. Another thing I noticed is alsong as you go theu the Headunit Harness, theres a fuse there that should pop if you go over as well. Didn't mean to answer, but like I said I had same questions.
Can I do something similar to this with batteries to run car audio in my house? Something with actual car audio batteries, but just wish the trickle charger on them constantly when the amps are on and subs are hitting.
Not sure I fully understand your set up, but if you're looking to use a charger like this and hook it up to a battery that is powering a home stereo system then it should be fine and constantly be charging your battery. If you're looking to use something like this to be the actual power source for your system (like I used it to power on the head unit) then this is not the route you want to take. For this video it was a temporary power source to test the unit without having to install it in a vehicle, and bonus- retrieve my AC/DC cd! Hope this helps.
Today's battery chargers, bless their little hearts, do not power on until they get some feedback from a battery. In other words, you can't by a battery charger anymore that when you touch the clamps it sparks because the charger is always on. If somebody knows how in the hell I can get these chargers to power a winch rather than only be chargers for batteries I sure would like to know.
Does it matter what kind.d of charger it is as long as it is 12 volt charger
Yeah anything less than 12v and it won't have the power to fire it up. Need to use a car battery charger similar to the one here. A 12 volt powerwheels charger for example would not work..
Cannot hear a thing of your voice.
you have acid reflux too?? you keep clearing your throat.
lostintime86 he’s nervous talking in front of us
I have seen people do that with a battery to help with surging. I may start doing this with old batteries.
Thanks man good video!!!
