Letting them go can be so painful, especially when they refuse to change and turn the blame on you. I wonder what it is that attracts us to these types in the first place.. maybe I have a saviour complex where I think I can help them. Problem is I see the potential in everyone. I think I''ve finally learned my lesson with that one anyway. It's nice to hear from someone who also values peace above all.

I am so glad that you did talk about this topic Shawn!!! Because in 2024, I did struggle with my alcohol addiction because I had certain friends that did make me relapse. Sometimes, I was 50 days sober and then boom, I saw that friend and it was already over. So yes, in 2025, we got to get rid or make a big clean-up in our circle of friends. And those who cannot admit their sins and their mistakes, they got to go period!!! Super great video.

We are on our own individual journey so it 's unfair to judge someone if they are not up to your "standards". Some people don't want to talk to me/be friends with me anymore in my social circle because they felt I won't change but in fact I am changing on my own terms. I despise this "keeping up" mentality society has and I've seen this on the popular professional networking site you all are familiar with. It's toxic and I think it's a facade to attract people. I admit I make mistakes but I learn from it and try and be a better human being. The worst people are those who call you out on your mistakes in friendships/family dynamic but won't accept their own faults and hold grudges no matter how petty it is. Even if you try and offer to reconcile with them in person and move on, they won't which is a shame yet they will go on social media platform and whine about "moving on". This year I think I am done with chasing people, if people don't want to be friends with me or no longer wish to be friends with me because I no longer match their "criteria" or "expectations" then so be it. Their loss. I think started well this year: Ran in the cold -2 weather so far, started reading a book to improve general interpersonal skills / software development skills and read fiction. I've mostly reduced the usage of popular social media apps since mid December and aim to continue this approach this year as well. It's a challenge but small acts like this can make a difference in my opinion.

I traveled out of the U.S. recently and there are genuine people out there not glued to their phones. Felt like the early 2000s. Travel and see different places , it really opens up your mind ❤

People are given a spirit when they are born. It is up to them what they do with it. If they respect it,they will go far in life. If they abuse it,and sell it for cheap,they dont have a future. I dont need bums in my life.
