A few pictures from my August 2023 trip on the Continental Divide Trail. Me and my cousin were on 300 XC-W's and my uncle was on a 450 FE We mostly followed the GPS Kevin route from the Canadian border to the Mexican border. The fuel pump died on the 450 going into Colorado so my uncle bailed half way, but me and my cousin made it without a hiccup on our 300's. 5 states in 12 days, 2730 miles. ...

Great ride and video.... Im old and slower than you but want to race before I cant... I'm 63. would you do this race if you were slower than you are?
As long as you're confident in your ability I think it would be fine. There are a number of people that enter the beginner class and race the track at their own place. You can see in the video what the track conditions are like and other than the occasional impatient rider behind you there isn't a lot of expectations for pace.
Did you create your own path of follow one of the others like Kevin, Cannonshot, or someone? And did you have any trouble with locked gates or dead ends?
I started with the gps kevin route and someone else's I found and put them into caltopo. I then plotted all the gas stations I could find from google maps and drew my own route tracing the others but with the necessary diversions to make it on gas. The only section of blocked trail we found was in Colorado near Kremling which was only a 5 minute delay to take an alternate trail around it.

Great ride! More aggressive than I would have expected for a novice class. Hope you had a blast.
Spectacular riding! Your speed, condition, and technique (especially passing skills) are far superior to most novice riders. I suspect you lapped most of them. Let the novice riders race each other and give yourself a much deserved promotion to a stronger class. Awesome ride!

I was looking forward to the series this year, but had some other series to finish up. Nice save a recovery at 9:35 ! If the weather holds up I may make the last one. Good luck this weekend.
Great video thanks for sharing. Question is this video represent one full lap? How many people on your team and how many laps did you do for the whole event you personally thanks.
The video shows about one and a half laps. We had 5 riders. I did 11 laps, 3 the first day, 4 overnight, and 4 in the morning.
