Why didn't you mention that?? And you complain about the jets flying in Layton lol I'm not using you when I move and will not advertise for You!
@benmadill8149 what are you talking about exactly? Why didn't i mention what? Honestly, if you get offended about me not liking Jet noise when working from home, then you're a bit to sensitive for me anyways. Lol
Ogden has a gang members ban so yeah this couple avoided that gangs mayor of Ogden set it up so gang members can't be around each other
Ummm this video was not about gangs... it was about the top 10 must do activities. Why would we be talking about gangs and initiatives that happened over 25 years ago in this video? We do talk about this in other vides that are about that. Thank for watching! 😘
@LivingInNorthernUtah801 Again ssssssshhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
@@benmadill8149 😂😂😂 So, you came to me channel to shhhh me? 😂😂😂😂😂
@LivingInNorthernUtah801 Again repeat recycle
@benmadill8149 Nothing i said has been repeated. You're super immature. Time for you to move on.
Ok wow just wow you should really leave Layton if you don't like the jets and the "75%" lds members because they bug you soooooooooooo much right LMFAO as a 45 year residence I welcome you to leave!!!
You clearly have some issues. You rant on all of my videos. I did leave Layton because of the jets. I love watching them and going to air shows. But, yes... the jets rumbling over your house all day when you work from home, does create some issues. I never said that i had issues with anyone that is LDS. 85% of my family is LDS. These videos are to inform people that are moving here from across the country to be able to make an informed decision. Some people like you, have no issues with the jets and it would not be a problem. If you work from home like me, like it may be. If you dont like our videos, you could simply move on? I dont need to leave as i was born and raised in Utah and love it here. Hope that you have a better day today.
My point was to show all the truth about a place so people settle in a place they don't have all the facts and since I myself know more about the bench I am saving people time and effort. 40+ years in the area living all over the state Layton would be only place I would raise a family AGAIN
Oh and let other people how misleading you are.
@benmadill8149 So, let me get this straight.. you are in your 50's or 60's acting like a child? 😮 I feel bad for you. Yes, where i choose to live and where other people choose to life don't have much to do with each other. I love a lot of things about Layton, but didnt care for the noise or the traffic issues there as i said in the video. That may not bother other people. What truths did i leave out exactly? Also.. how is your point to "spead truth"? Your comment was about how i should leave Layton because i dont like jets and some weird rant about LDS... not sure how that makes that point? You clearly lack any sort of reasoning or logic abilities.
Do you help find rentals?
It's hard for us to find rentals, as there is no compensation in it, unfortunately. If you are looking to purchase within a year and are looking for a short-term rental, we can help as a courtesy.
I would think just living in Utah
What do you mean?
@LivingInNorthernUtah801 beautiful state just don't like jumping through hoops just to go to a bar and have a beer 🍻
I lived in Brigham some 35 years ago. At that time there was a Home Depot, Pizza Hut and for eats, is Berts diner still up and running? B & B Billiards, is Tom still there? Failed to mention Perry just to the south. Restaurant there did a free Thanksgiving dinner. I'm not of the Mormon faith but to their credit were better at paying bills on time than the rest of the population
There has never been a home depot in Brigham City. Maybe you are thinking of Ace Hardware? Berts and B&B are still there and open.
@LivingInNorthernUtah801 iffin I remember right, I was working for Dan Scott building houses and the only lumber game in town was Larry's lumber yard in Perry, next town south of Brigham just on the other side of Logan highway..We were all excited about a new outlet and I'm pretty sure it was a H.D..Could of been a Lowes . Entirely possible. Would have been a couple blocks north of the firehouse and not real big either. Half a block maybe. One last question.. There was, or is a little tavern just past Mantua called at that time the Midway. I doubt the proprietors are still with this world but she had some of the neatest antiques. Was more of an antique store that served beer, than a tavern with old shit. Anyway, that was a lifetime ago and I apologize I can't remember names and such. I don't want to drop the names of those I do remember. Thanks so much for the update. Brought a smile to this old man as I tripped and stumbled down memory lane

I've lived here for five years and im not happy about it. Rent is WAY over the cost of what it should be for the area. You'll see ads for a 1 bedroom for $1350 on average, which is still way too high, but expect to pay an additional $250 to $300 a month in fees here in Utah. Zoning is also horrible. Apartments are mostly situated by major roads and there is a HUGE car and bike culture here. Expect to hear constant excessively loud exhausts in your $1600 a month 1 bedroom apartment, I am not exaggerating. There is a derelict feeling in the Ogden city area. I have never felt such an evil presence in a small city such as Ogden, specifically between 20th and 36th street between Harrison and Wall. There is something metaphysically odd in this area. Not to mention its a true head scratcher that a 100 year old delapitated 2/1 with a crack head out front is going for $350k....
@jeffreyroberts9740 Interesting perspective there. I have lived in the Ogden area off and on for 25 years and have not shared that same experience. It's too bad that you have had that experience. Sounds like Ogden is not your place. Hopefully, you will be able to find a city that meets your needs. Ogden/Weber country has some of the cheapest rent/housing prices out of all metro cities in Utah. Apartments in most metro cities are on busy roads. That's pretty topical zoning. I've never felt an "evil presence" in Ogden either. If you hate Ogden so much, why do you live there? And why are you searching videos to watch about it? 🤔
@@LivingInNorthernUtah801 Hi there Kim! I am guessing I am speaking with Kim since you took my comment so personal. To answer some of your questions, I am here living in Ogden since I am currently under contract for the DOD. Unfortunately I will be here for another 5 months, looking forward to my departure! Your video popped up in my feed. TH-cam shows people videos that they think they would be interested in. "Apartments in most metro cities are on busy roads. That's pretty topical zoning." Occasionally, but no not mostly. Apartments usually are nestled on feeder roads while businesses are put onto major roadways. You can do an overlay of howloud maps onto city zoning or google maps to see this. Also, I guess Ogden is a metro city by definition...but come on. Its not even on the top 375 largest cities in the United States. Ogden/Weber does have some of the cheapest rent/housing....but by how much? RentCafe says roughly $250 difference, but I think that is largely thrown off by luxury high rise lofts in the larger cities. If you are in the hunt for a 1 bedroom apartment there are plenty of apartments within cost of $100 of eachother. Pay is also more in those counties along with industry diversity, as this is mainly a manufacturing area. I truly believe there is something nefarious going on here with the real estate community to fluff up prices. Local media has done investigations with price fixing software but also the outrageous fees that rental companies are charging in lock step. Something is fishy. As far as the evil presence goes...before working for the DOD I spent 11 years in law enforcement on both the Miami-Dade human trafficking task force and the narcotics division. You can say I have an eye for this sort of thing. Outside of the obvious dealers, users, and prostitutes that walk around Lester and Liberty parks (If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....) there is something that piques my interest here in Ogden. The shear amount of small businesses that line all of the major roadways. Its amazing how many there are. You see, Ogden isn't a desireable place for many large companies. Companies like Whole Foods and REI use an incredible database of market research on areas that determine store value indicators. Most big businesses have determined that Ogden isn't desireable, especially for "luxury" items. Major retailers & grocerers that provide essentials do well here. Yet somehow, these small businesses that recieve very little foot traffic can remain in business. I would not be suprised if Ogden is a hub for the cartel(s). We will see if so in the next year or two....
@@jeffreyroberts9740 Wow, quite the rant there. But just to clarify, this is actually Sloane. It seems like you're also displaying a bit of sexism? 😂 I didn’t take your comment personally-it's just your opinion, after all. My response wasn’t emotional; I simply pointed out that I haven’t had the same experiences you’ve described, and I disagree with most of your points. I could easily debunk much of what you said, but honestly, I get the sense that facts wouldn’t make much of an impact, so I’ll let you continue living in whatever version of reality you’ve chosen. Comparing the murder capital of the U.S. to Ogden? That’s laughable at best. Good luck with your departure, and I hope you find what you're looking for.
Cool video. Logan is chill for sure. I live just down the street from Utah State.

I want to live around white families. I grew up in north east las vegas what a mess.
Sorry, cant help you with that. We're not racist.
Thanks for sharing, we'll be staying in Ogden Ut on December.
I am born and raised in Ogden. Just don't get involved with the wrong people. There are tons of homeless. Other than that, Ogden is pretty chill, coming from someone who knows every street there.
I agree. You have to go looking for trouble. I dont feel like we have a huge homeless issue, though. We don't have a huge tent city like SLC or other bigget cities do. Thanks for watching
Could you please stfu about it?
Ogden is a sh!thole, the Police, and the Sheriffc are not Citizen Friendly.
USU engineering professors are laughing. Most of my engineering professors made more than $250k and that was back around 2015.
It’s unlikely that most USU engineering professors made over $250,000 annually around 2015. Recent data suggests that their salaries generally fall between $80,000 to $140,000, with higher earnings being exceptions rather than the norm. Our data came from govsaleries.com
Very informative! I took a lot of notes. Thank you so much.

is the elevation too high? im a healthy male but willl i get sick?
It's really hard to say. Everyone's body reacts differently to high elevation. Most healthy people do not get sick. Even if you did, your body would adjust pretty quickly.
Instead of Red Iguana....try La Cas Del Tamal in West Valley......next level, beautiful ambiance, amazing staff. Red Iguana feels far too busy now .

Affordable is relative. Utah has the third highest household income in the USA. This video doesn't mention that traffic around the point of the mountain (between Draper and Lehi) is hell on earth during rush hour.
Affordable is for sure relative. This video wasn't about traffic. Just about everywhere in the Wasatch Front is hell during traffic hour. Thanks for watching
Vertical Diner has been our go-to for over a decade. It's vegan, but it's also just really good for everyone regardless of diet.

Hello! I know you guys said 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicles would be best for Utah weather. But I was just curious if you knew if a 2 wheel drive suv with all season tires would still be okay especially for winter weather. My husband and I are set to be at Hill AFB by December 31st so I'm assuming there would be a good amount of snowfall by then. And for reference I have a 2006 GMC Envoy with 2 wheel drive. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
As long as its front-wheel drive, you will be just fine. Just dont drive canyons when its snowing. They do a good job clearing the roads.
Enjoyed your video, not a fan of Ogden area but you know it well and I don't. Price!! Affordable but "Nice Place" I wouldn't use that description, the economy is not good, stores closing partially due to the coal industries problems. Overall Utah has been a great place for us to live but if we hadn't owned a home for many years we probably wouldn't be able to buy a home here. I don't see that changing. I do enjoy your videos as we are ready to downsize. I think I would have put Eagle Mountain on the list.
You should learn how to set the volume in your videos so it doesn't go from a whisper (some parts of the video when you talk) to a shout (i.e. intro music, other parts of the video when you talk). Super annoying to watch, so I didn't watch the whole thing.
Interesting. Ive never had any other complaints regarding this, nor have i noticed it while watching it myself.
I actually just went and watched all the transitions, and i didn't have the same experience that you mentioned. All the volumes are the same, and there were not any huge volume increases or drops. We hire a professional editor. Maybe its something on your end?
No Chinese food in salt lake

@@LivingInNorthernUtah801 We are going to SLC area to drop off my son to the airport, we are from Afton Wyoming. Do you recommend one aquarium over another? Sorry to bug you, thank you for your hospitality.
@TheBandit59 the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper is the one we would recommend!
@@kimpetersen3173 awesome, thank you for all your help, I owe you one
If your coming to Saltlake. You have to attend at least one Rodeo and meet the farmers. You can Bow Hunt, fish & lastly shoot rifles on the weekends 🤠. These guys are spot on. Buy local farm foods.
Would like to live in Logan or any town near Logan:)
I’d love to leave Louisiana and live in Logan .. can’t wait to pay off my bills and visit Logan
