Sin embargo, en Sekiro haces daño postural con paradas, en Elden Ring simplemente absorbes el ataque. Los guardias perfectos nunca romperán la postura, ¡pero puedes luchar con espada como si fuera Sekiro! [English] Yes! (somewhat) with the "deflecting hardtear" you can guard with good timing and avoid any damage. However, as you know, in sekiro you do posture damage with parries; In elden ring you just absorb the attack. Perfect guards will never break posture, but you can sword fight like it's sekiro!

Great point! Yeah, not only do I feel like its "not a bad thing" I'd say it ADDS a ton of value to the game and world. I doubt I would have put in 1/2 the time of really enjoyed it if I knew exactly where I was and where I was going all the time lol. So I can't think of any games that nail the RPG genre with this aesthetic/design philosophy, BUT I do have some 10/10 recommendations you MAY be interested in that are similar in some ways. Dusk/Amid Evil- both are 10/10 90s inspired shooter games. Dusk is a bit more "low brow" and goofy (cultist rednecks chasing etc...) while Amid Evil is less guns/humans more Magic/spirits. I love them both, I'd give the overall design/level/OST/enemies advantage to Dusk, but I do find Amid evil's special weapons and magic system a little more fun to fight with. Gloomwood- Also a retro game, but if dusk and amid evil were like DOOM/Hexen (fps/Magic FPS) Gloomwood is like thief (Bigger world, sneaky boy mechanics, lots of looting and pickpocketing etc...). I prefer the other games I mentioned, BUT I figured it may be closer to what you're looking for as this is a larger world with a pacing closer to an RPG (opposed to an arena shooter at least lol) (wildcard) Kingdoms of Amalur- So this game is pretty retro looking NOW(2011), this has nothing to do with your post, and it bears no semblance to dread delusion other than being and RPG; Here's why I brought it up- I plan to play through this game very soon, why? The game was written by Ken Rolston. (OG elder scrolls writer), art designed by Todd Mcfarlane (spiderman/spawn etc...) the music was composed by Grant Kirkhope (the guy who did banjo kazooie/007 goldeneye, perfect dark, and DK64) So they quite literally put together a DREAM TEAM of game design. You know I'm a big fan of interesting art/ good sound track and writing; I expect this game has all of the above, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's a top 5 RPG or me. Maybe you've heard of the game, maybe you haven't, it died because it competed directly with Skyrim and got CRUSHED. SO yeah, I don't know that KOA will be similar to DD in any meaningful way, but I figured I'd toss that one out there too!

@@CatfishBradley first of all my appologies for the suuuuper late reply. And secondly thank you so much for all the suggestion - it seems you are very knowledgeable. I guess what I am looking with these games is a recreation of the feeling that the gothic and risen series offered me. A hand crafted world to explore at my own terms without being forced to do things in a specific order or way. I deffo need to check out Dusk/ Amid Evil even tho they seem to lean a bit more towrds horror which i am not a huuuge fan of, but still open to it sometimems. Gloomwood is still in the early access phase which i am not going near, call me selfish or superficial but i am not touching any more early access games until they are done. I dont like to play games that are not fully finished just to spoil my experience before it fully releases, and that IF it ever fully releases. Kingdom of Amular, ahhh this game ... has a very strange development journey lol. Its a shame because it could have been deffo one of the great ones, but unfortunately is very shallow and repetitive. I tried 3-4 times to get into properly and after the 8-9 hours mark I always just leave it and never come back. Give it a try and see if you like it, the combat its fun, visuals and the world design its intresting, has a cool skill tree and awesome weapons. But all those elements are not enough to keep a player engaged on a long run. You will get saturated by the repetitive quests. "Go here, kill this, talk to him etc etc" Have you ever played Gothic/ Risen/ Outword ?
