Nikos Anastasiadis began playing drums at the age of 17. He studied with Dimitris Kotsiris and graduated “Entechnon” Music School in Athens, Greece (Drums Department) in 2008. Since then, he has worked as a drum instructor at “Aristotelio” and “Entechnon” music schools.
Nikos has performed and recorded for various bands&artists such as Jerome Kaluta, Rock 'n' Roll Children, Mo'Down, Vicky Bee, Dream Weaver, Mindland, Lost Fate, Reflection, Mortal Affair Project, Eyeshot, Funkey and Full Loaded Band.
He is currently playing with :

"The Meters" medley (6th Athens Drum Festival)
So, this is my full performance at the 6th Athens Drum Festival. That took place at "Art Music School Fakanas" in Athens/Greece, on April 22-23.
Getting to play a medley of songs from The Meters in front of 150 Greek people (mainly drummers) was - kind of - unreal! What a great experience that was!!
On top of that, I had the big pleasure and honor to have with me on stage, one of my absolute drum heroes (and lovely guy), Mike Kapilidis.

Drumset : Tama Superstar (20",12",14")
Snare : Stanton Moore "Spirit Of New Orleans" Titanium (14x4.5")
Cymbals : Bosphorus (15" SW Hi-Hat, 20" Wide Ride)
Other : Big Fat Snare
Audio was taken both from Zoom Q2n-4K and Huawei P30 pro cellphone, mixed with the original backing track.

Nikos - nice job - i believe the main groove is llrl rlrr with left hand on pandero and right moving between cowbell and snare, however, I cannot figure bass drum pattern, can you help me out?
Hey John, thanks for checking out and for the nice words!! Indeed the hand sticking is the one you mentioned and the foot pattern is similar to the 3:2 son clave (I just leave the bass drum out on beat "4" because there is already a back beat there). :-)
