Here you will find wildlife photography, some landscape photography and stories with connection to wildlife.
I retired a couple of years ago. Photography is now my main hobby. I have been a journalist for 45 years and I have been working on a variety of platforms, such as news papers, a news agency, radio and television. My profession is to write and tell stories, but already on my first job I learned to handle a camera.
I am deeply worried about the greenhouse effect, the decreasing numbers of species and environmental problems. My contribution to a better wold is to show the beauty of wildlife.

Wart-Biter vs Great Green Bush-Cricket
When I took photos of the bush-crickets I didn’t, at first, know that they were different. Then I saw that one of them had black eyes, the wart-biter. I this video you meet both of them. Enjoy!

It’s a little bit different this time. It’s about a butterfly, not a bird. But this one is special, att least for me. I have never seen it before. Maybe you have, but I can’t resist doing a video about this beautiful, rare butterfly.

One reason I don't like birds anymore.
Interesting guy, this Bush Cricket, I had an inspiring talk with him. So I understand your feelings about birds... but, you know, one Bush Cricket can fast be one thousand if some birds didn’t like snacks. Thanks for watching!
@@peterdahlgren468 Yes, they are interesting and grasshoppers and bush crickets look so cute and harmless. But the one in the picture is actually a swift predator that mainly feeds on other insects.
Good one, Peter.👍👍
Thanks a lot, Terry!

Nice vet work, Peter. I have a lot of birds that hit my windows. My estimate is that 80% survive OK. Thanks for sharing.👍👍
You are probably right. I guess that most of the birds that hit the windows get a little dizzy and then fly away. Thanks for watching, Terry!
Hello Peter, thanks for showing this beautiful movie and great music to support the nice images!! Greetings Gijs
Thanks a lot, Gijs! Glad you found this little video about the Nuthatch. All the best!
What an absolutely cracking video and some amazing photos. Absolutely spot-on. I stumbled across this video as I noticed a bird of prey near where I work yesterday. I was in two minds of what it was and watching your video and a couple of others. It was either Marsh Harrier or a hen Harrier. One of the two. I’m not a bird wizard, but certainly wasn’t a buzzard as there are lots of them around where I work and it was definitely a bird of prey of some sort. Look like a kite but had rounded tail feathers. Just looking at the colours I’m thinking and hoping I was.Right .. when I was a young boy, my dad would take me birdwatching and we would see Marsh Harriers hunting and they are just amazing. This was back in the early 80s. Anyway just want to say absolutely brilliant video once again and all the best to you. 👍😁
Thanks, John! Glad you found my little video. Nice story you are telling, especially that about your dad and how you watched the birds together. All the best!
@@peterdahlgren468 thanx Peter 😁👍
