This battery fire was caused by a damaged custom built pack after a crash. The BMS also not connected at the time prevented knowing the condition of the damaged pack before charging. The wheel was plugged in to charge and several minutes later, started to smoke. Took the S22 out after a break in this year's California Bomb Cyclone dubbed "The Pineapple Express" to see how it handled the wet and slippery roads. It was New Year's Day 2023 and my local area received so much rain that the local Reservoir just up stream from my place overfilled onto the spillway. A scenic ride from the top of Mt. Umunhum overlooking the Silicon Valley in sunny California. Great vistas and lots of twisty turns. Average speeds are about 30 mph and all downhill. Enjoy! 😀

Stock S22 here. No upgrades other than: 1. loosening up the suspension linkage bolts a bit (KS installed correct size hardware) 2. fully cleaned out suspension channels of stock grease 3. removed rubber stoppers 4. lubricated slider channels with (Finish Line Max Suspension Spray) and (B'laster Industrial Graphite Dry Lubricant) Conclusion: Yes it can but not as nimble as a lighter S18, or RS19 😁
