I always fine myself coming back to this video, never gets old.

Fucking love the game, peak atmosphere and sound design and visuals and soundtrack. Really don't care about gameplay and story, tho. Last playthrough i did was with infinite health just so i could enjoy my time inside the game world.

Makes sense that Death is immune to the cross and holy water. He's not evil like Dracula or his minions; he's just a representation of inevitable death. Yeah, that's kinda grim, but it's not evil.

(love binyot) How to play a video game: Don't skip/ignore tutorials, they are given for a reason. Vinny barely dodged or engaged in combat in a smart or conservative way. I don't think even at the end of the game he understood the inventory system. If a game appears to be bugged, you should probably restart the game. It will ruin your experience. Just avoid it. These bugs only kept happening because he didn't get the nerve to simply restart the game when an experience altering bug occurs. (7:20 , 6:18) Gun noises stopped happening at one point, he just kept playing and cackling at it. Don't rush through an atmosphere rich game while focusing more on jokes and conversation with your twitch audience. This guy did not... Stop... Talking. Every time a cool event happened I would preemptively go "Oh man I loved this part! Can't wait to see what he thinks!" and he would be talking about something stupid like a mobile animal crossing game or an arcade cabinet, the event happens, and he acts as if someone bumped into him in public. Its like holding a conversation at a movie theater. Also don't get a lobotomy. (7:12, 0:42, 5:32, 7:56, 12:24, 18:08) There are some clips I wish were in here, but you get my point. Also chose to leave out all the combat deaths that didn't stick out, he just kinda traded health with them and went "man this game doesn't want me to have fun"

Really great job, especially with the (s)hitbox replay. They made the game so full of projectiles with slothing hitboxes where a bat could take 4 tiles of space, you cant jump over it or duck under...

Vinny would have had so much less trouble with a lot of these platforming sections if he’d just used the Hover Plume.

Vinny's interpretation of Zero's voice just sounds like Cool Cat. Meanwhile his version of Kernal sounds like a Beatle.

To be fair, Specter Knight has some of the most frustrating move sets, and that's in a game that's frustrating to begin with.

I know Vinny was probably joking, but I can't help but feel a bit miffed when he says the voice acting is "Mega Man 8 quality", cause pretty much every character besides Mega Man himself sound appropriate and got real good voice talent; I was pretty surprised by how good they got the voices all things considered, but Capcom's games usually got pretty stellar dubs like in Devil May Cry. Mega doesn't sound bad, but he sounds too mature; his JP voice sounds more fitting to how he would actually sound like without sounding like a baby.

It is a revelation the clussy is 3 years old.

Now watching Vinny's playthrough in full, it makes me re-evaluate my thoughts on this game. The monsters are great albeit a bit annoying, the story is good, the characters are... ok at best, and the environments and soundtracks are nice to relax to at points which leads to a good false sense of security. I can't say the game is EDGY because as someone who has awful mental issues, a lot of this game is really intriguing to look at to see another's perspective. But THAT INVENTORY SPACE IS SO UNFORGIVING! Even Earthbound had bad inventory control and it's more forgiving than this game, and that game was made in 1999! What makes that worse is this game is hard as balls at points. I can't even defend that because even Markiplier raged about it at multiple occasions. Also my personal experience does not help (I can't even make it to the first save point I'm that bad lol). All and all, this game is nice to watch as a long-play; I recommend to experience it that way; but not nice to play at all. Maybe when I finally finish the game I give a full honest review but for now this is it. This game needs a remake really bad.

Vinny is very good at making games look shitty by being so bad at the game.

After watching The Cuphead Show, I got nostalgic for Vinny's streams of the game but I was surprised there wasn't a official channel compilation of it. Although this covers just the death, it was still a good watch.

I wonder if Vinny knows the sub-characters you use have piss-poor defense and take an extra hitpoint away when you get hit.
