My Interview on the Tiny House Lifestyle Podcast with Ethan Waldman
My buddy Ethan had me as a guest on his podcast called The Tiny House Lifestyle Podcast recently, and here is the episode. It is audio only, but I think you will enjoy it and maybe even learn a thing or two! We discuss prepping in small spaces, wild edibles, bug out bags, off grid energy, as well as our current pandemic.

Our New Bug Out Property!

This is one of our properties that we just purchased in northern Michigan. We spent a couple of days up there and blazed a trail, chose a camp area to begin clearing, and built a really rad fire pit! Wild Edible Plant: Sweet Goldenrod
มุมมอง 1.2K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Here I introduce a nice wild edible very common here in New England. Sweet Goldenrod makes a wonderful tea, and the smaller leaves can also be eaten raw in small amounts or make a unique addition to salads. Enjoy! Modified Cloverleaf Bushcraft Shelter: Part 1
มุมมอง 6834 ปีที่แล้ว
During this video I show the product of about half a day of building. This is at a newly selected location for my second bushcraft survival camp, which is much more remote than my wigwam camp. I know it will probably be hard to visualize what the finished design will look like, but stay tuned! This is a very unique but highly efficient and utilitarian design and the only tools used are a saw an...

มุมมอง 7K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Here is a quick video explaining how I am storing rice using 5 gallon buckets, heat sealed mylar bags and O2 absorbers. Here is a link to the mylar bags and absorbers on Amazon. The 10 pack that I purchased is gone, so this link is for a 20 pack. If you don't need that many or don't want the absorbers, there are still 10 packs on Amazon without them. Thats so cool thanks, I need to make a kush grass mat for my new yoga meditation, and have found the kush grass, was just wondering how to make a mat, how useful, greetings form animal woman here
I eat then drirectly from the bush.
That's a great idea!
A dual extraction is incredible!!
These skills are the most important in survival in my opinion. Cause it’s being able to build things from scratch if you didn’t have any supplies
Brilliant!
Remove the egg turner and lay down some towel paper. THEN place the eggs on that and do the lockdown. Your quails are tripping all over the place after hatching. 🤦♂️
This is the video I was looking for. Thanks dude!
That boy greasin that wood so good that didn’t even get a splinter. 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂😂😭😭😭😭😭
This is a more detailed disassembly and reassembly of s&w shield plus in two methods. It’s very clear and simple. I like the 2nd method, more faster without using a screwdriver to bring down that yellow thing inside but need to press the trigger to disengage.
Interestingly i just found this video. A few weeks ago i got bored at home and wondered into the woods out back and cut down a sappling. I did everything this video showed, except fire hardening. The kids next door was impressed with what i made with nothing more than my knife.
What happened to Hedgehog Leatherworks? Are they out of business or something?
Nice bro
Ahh The Edge. Saw it and Starship Troopers when they came out in ‘97. I was 7 🫣
I need a large pepperoni and extra cheese
2024 anyone?
Yee yee
The size is like 4x the size of a regular TP. It'd be a waste to use it just once. Do you cut it into 4 sheets or maybe 2 sheets and fold each one into 2 ply?
What kind of scope n power
were in ooga booga buisness now boys
Thanks for the video. I really love my Hedgehog Leather Works sheath for my ESEE-5, beautiful craftsmanship by Paul. I do wish I would have grabbed one of the pouches before he shut down.
8:04 alright imma log off
The fire will help you straighten it too, heat up where it needs bending 👍 Aboriginal way.
so cool, i'm on day 12
I Prefer to use a piece at least pencil thickness. I also leave the bark on because the bitterness causes salivation. After brushing around all my gums I bite off the bristles and keep chewing like gum until the disintegrate and are swallowed.
About 7 inches long so it's easy to hold and reach the back teeth.
Nice work
These are the very first aid kits my mom used to throw into my bookbag take with me to school growing up. These are common simple first aid kits that are popular to keep in your kids bookbag for school.
What app or device can I use to keep track of cache locations via GPS?
love ur greessey
No dust baths😢
I have an idea, add like some kind of notch so you can attach some fishing line, not the best rod of course but may work for panfish
Very good point about the gravel driveway.
If you’re wondering if something is made of steel or aluminum, the federal government about five years ago spent $3.7 billion in inventing the device that tells you whether or not something is steel or not. It was used in the program to verify the materials were of the right composition. Now the Russians invented the exact same thing for 399. It’s called a magnet.
I don’t recall people in 10,000 bc having pocket knives (this is a funny haha joke and the video was helpful)
How strong are your snares?
Awesome
so is there a market for these aluminum bars, and where can you sell them?
A rabbit smoking a pipe...
it is instinctual apparently when us kids tries to not wake up our parents, or avoiding a punishment or a lecture.
To those complaining about him using a knife - if you ever put yourself in a situation where you can get lost or be stranded and you didn’t bring a knife or multi tool, you aren’t gonna make it long out there anyways. A lot of survival is preparedness, and a knife is as critical as your water, sleep and cooking systems.
I wonder if you could freeze dry it and reconstitute it for use.
Just discovered that if you dry the leaves, then soak them in water and wring out the liquid, you get way more of the slime, and you can run the leaves back under the tap countless times and you just keep on getting more and more, a handful of leaves can easily fill a bottle with slime and as a bonus you get that tea-like smell in it from the leaves, there's probably some benefit to the slime being infused with the nutrients of the leaves but, well, can't verify that just yet.
making fox walking my natural way of walking cuz i wanna scare the crap out of people
What knife is that that's all I care about. Edit(tell me and I will subscribe)
don't know the specific brand, but that's a tracker knife. I use one pretty frequently and it's a fantastic all rounder for out door survival. I use the weyland tracker myself and it's probably my favorite knife out of the 80 that i own.
He said it’s a T2 Tracker Knife by Top Knives. It’s the one from the movie The Hunted.
I think that hedgehog leather works is out if business??
Very instructive, and good point for the indication of rope length needed !
Great video. Thanks for making it 🔥
