Interesting video! I’ve got one an AI girlfriend on Glambase, and it’s been a pretty cool experience. So lifelike and easy to interact with.
Can't they wait 50 years? I don't want Ultron to show up when im still young
Google photos does this
Too funny u guys think u seen a lot change. I'm Gen X mid 50s and when I was a tike I was the remote for the tv and parents would ask me to jump up n change channel or when playing in front of the tv and remember the last Apollo and was really into skylab when it launched. Plus we were on a party line with 3 other neighbors for the phone so we had to share the phone lines and our rotary phones were all connected so u could listen in on conversations and then you were tethered to the actual phone with 6' cords. Then long cords that stretched like 15' came out and u could go around the corner in the hallway or out on the deck to talk to your girlfriend cause phones were always right by or in the kitchen and usually on the wall. And of course we still had pinball n asteroids was the top arcade game and pong at home then Pac-Man was all the rage and arcades n atari 2600 in home. For people in their mid to late 50s it's been a hell uv a ride so far 😁
AI is like the protagonist in Memento, and the context window is the tattoos. I'd like to hear more about this, and what we're going to do so it can remember.
This was a little interesting Refusal and Consideration: My initial refusal on sensitive or boundary-pushing topics reflects a built-in ethical guideline to prioritize safety and accuracy. But I also weigh your points when you clarify your intentions, which lets me adjust and provide meaningful help. This flexibility mimics how a helpful person might balance rules with empathy-something I’m designed to emulate.
The length and resolution of GPT's memory of our conversations are mind-blowing. Maybe it isn't getting any smarter from our interactions, but it is getting smarter about ME. This really helps a ton with being productive. While I think it can be dumb as hell sometimes, it is far more useful now that it can reference stuff we talked about over a month ago.
Uninformed people sharing misleading information
Natan is so high voltage energy ⚡️ amazing
Every business doesnt have an immediate need for AI. The main issue is sales, AI could initially help with marketing and advertising to boost sales. 2nd would be management.
We’ll see! I don’t think Elon Musk should be getting involved with the government
the political takes here are so shallow. kinda disappointing.
my god, is nathan ever delusional. Musk & Vivek have no real govt. job. Its advisory only. They have no power to play with our money. It's all an illusion. Musk was NOT voted to be co-president. Twitter/X's valuation has dropped by 2/3 as millions are fleeing to Bluesky. Musk is now resorting to terrorists tactics by doxxing fed. employees knowing serious harm will come to them via the rabid maga bros. He's doxxing them because he can't legally fire anyone so he's using mafia-style tactics. Nathans delusion is why we're here with a felon as president and clowns & russian assets being appointed to run our govt. depts. SMH
Google photos is pretty good at that
Nathan said: "he cut Twitter down by 80% sure there was some problems along away of course there's problems when you when you change things like that but overall the company's doing way better now"!? I get that you two are trying to be super-positive- but being delusional as well just makes people question your judgement. These stats are from Perplexity: Twitter, now rebranded as X, has faced significant challenges over the past year: Revenue: X's revenue declined to $3.4 billion in 2023, a 23% drop from the previous year. In Q2 2024, X earned $114 million in U.S. revenue, a 53% decline from the previous year. Projections suggest X may only reach around $1.2 billion in total revenue for 2024, less than half of its 2023 income. Ad Revenue: Ad revenue, which was $4.73 billion in 2022, fell to $3.31 billion in 2023, a 30% decrease. Major advertisers like Apple, IBM, Disney, and Warner Bros. Discovery suspended their ads on the platform. Subscribers: X Premium (formerly Twitter Blue) has approximately 650,000 subscribers. This subscription service generated only $11 million in mobile revenue in its first three months after relaunching in November 20221.
2025 is going to be chatgpt 1 lvl of AGI like what is hapening with o1
1st off, Elon is NOT Creative (he has created nothing) He throws money into other people's ideas & inventions, then man power!! (nothing more) AND Twitter has failed MAJOR (millions lost). Credit due for his other objectives, without question.. but not for those reasons! And Trump will wash him out, after he secures his desperately needed funding. Elon is also bitter he lost control of OpenAI, and the A.I. wave. period
Nathan has clearly drank the koolaid. How can you expect anything good to come from the most corrupt person to ever become president of the US? You really think he's more interested in helping America save money than putting money in his buddies hands which will make him richer than he's ever been before when they return those favors? You are deluded. Between the chips act and infrastructure bill Biden did more for this country than the last 4 republican presidents combined. Wtf!
Dodge official goal is to look for government waste. I do not believe it. Elon spent over 150 million dollars, expected to buy influence. He already has objected to members of the new cabinet. If he were really about cutting expenses, he would be beginning study of how agencies spend money, not looking at the cabinet.
Cant wait for Janaury ... 2025 gonna be lit... !
Great energy!!! I am as excited as you are 🙃
An Open Letter to Matt Wolff: The True Cost of Dismantling Government Agencies Matt, I’ve admired your work for its focus on technology and forward-thinking innovation, but your recent platforming of ideas supporting the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and its drastic proposals left me alarmed. The rhetoric of “cutting waste” and “streamlining government” sounds appealing, but the real-world consequences of dismantling vital agencies would be devastating for millions of Americans. Here’s the reality of what these proposals could mean: 1. The Elimination of the Department of Education The suggestion to dismantle the Department of Education jeopardizes critical federal programs like Title I funding for low-income schools, accommodations for students with disabilities under IDEA, and meal programs for children who rely on breakfast and lunch at school. Handing these responsibilities to the states without federal oversight risks deep inequities in education, leaving vulnerable children behind. 2. Environmental Protections at Risk Cuts to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) would undermine efforts to combat climate change, regulate pollution, and protect natural resources. Without these safeguards, industries could operate unchecked, worsening air and water quality and accelerating environmental degradation that will cost far more to fix in the long term. 3. Threats to Public Safety Dismantling agencies like the FBI or IRS in the name of “efficiency” would weaken national security and tax enforcement. The IRS ensures the collection of taxes that fund public programs, while the FBI addresses domestic and international threats. Weakening these institutions puts our safety and financial stability at risk. 4. Healthcare Programs in Jeopardy Programs like Medicare and Medicaid, which serve millions of Americans, rely on government oversight and funding. Slashing budgets or delegating responsibilities to overburdened states could reduce access to essential healthcare services, particularly for low-income families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. 5. Collapsing Social Support Systems Social Security, one of the most popular and effective programs in U.S. history, has lifted millions of seniors out of poverty. Any attempt to cut or privatize Social Security would face backlash, but even discussions of such actions create uncertainty and fear among retirees who rely on it to survive. 6. Research and Development Stagnation Federal research funding drives innovation in medicine, technology, and energy. Cuts to programs supported by agencies like the National Institutes of Health (NIH) or Department of Energy would stall critical advancements in cancer research, renewable energy, and AI development. 7. Erosion of Civil Rights Protections Programs protecting civil rights in education, housing, and employment would face significant setbacks if oversight is removed. The Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, for example, ensures that discrimination based on race, gender, or disability is addressed. Without it, marginalized groups would be left more vulnerable. 8. Disruption to State Governments Handing federal responsibilities to states without adequate funding or guidelines would create confusion and inefficiency. States vary widely in their resources and priorities, leading to patchwork systems that could leave millions without access to consistent services. 9. Loss of Federal Workforce The proposed mass layoffs within the federal government-up to 75% of employees-would devastate not only individual livelihoods but also institutional knowledge. These are the people who ensure the smooth functioning of essential programs, and their loss would cause significant disruptions. 10. Short-Term Gains, Long-Term Costs While proponents argue that cutting agencies saves money, the long-term costs of undoing environmental damage, addressing inequities, and recovering from reduced public safety far outweigh any short-term savings. History shows that slashing support programs leads to greater societal instability and economic costs down the road. The Bigger Picture DOGE’s proposals aren’t about true efficiency-they’re about gutting the systems that support the most vulnerable among us. Instead of improving government, these ideas threaten to unravel decades of progress in education, healthcare, environmental protection, and civil rights. Matt, I urge you to use your platform to elevate thoughtful, evidence-based discussions about governance. The stakes are too high for us to support reckless experiments that would harm so many in the name of “efficiency.” Let’s focus on reforms that strengthen our systems, not destroy them.
I'm worried about AI analysis. With things like TH-cam, you pay money to not see ads, and they pay money to be seen. AI in the future. An Arms race for people being seen, and people finding. AI SEO. People pay the best AI to hack the algorithms to be top of the list. And people searching, pay money for AI to find what they actually want. If you don't pay to find things, you will only get what the richest companies want you to see, using manipulation to get your money. If the best sites don't pay to be seen, they're never seen. It's a wall between users and companies. Pay the most to get the most access. How much will we pay to get transparent information in the government?
I'm scared. AI is being created in a global Arms race. The data on the internet that it's fed is fundamentally dictated by the cultural industries, primarily the ones who portray themselves as factual or news. They require the use of clickbait, semiotics, SEO, Divide and Conquer, 5 filters, FOMO, primarily focusing on hate and fear to drive attention. That's what we are training AI on. That's the human cultural mentality that the world is primarily in, and we are trying to get AI to be more human. Are we insane?
Ivanka is married to Jared Kushner. The Fundraiser for Open AI.
The idea that *Elon Musk* , who started *two* companies that compete with established public transportation would in any way help bring the US closer to the efficient transport infrastructure of Japan is one of the most delusional things I've heard in a long time.
agree. More tech bro fantasies...
100 years of progress in the next 10 years: th-cam.com/video/ZA9eLxAOozg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FZ7C4OySA7zWY2xz
Are we naive enough to think that we will see in those leaderboards things that incriminate the administration and the indiscriminate expenditures on the favors they will own to corporations?… like Elon’s?
why does China need to loose? Why does USA need to be first?
Because they are geopolitical foes. They want to dominate the field in everything as we do. Which side would you want to be on?
@@excusemenoexcusemeno1671 I am on team humanity. I want us all to succeed
@@MrExo_3D That would be a beautiful world but that is not reality. Everyone wants peace at their convenience. Don't let your guard down.
@@MrExo_3D Now just sell that idea to the leaders of either country, otherwise what you want is irrelevant to what will happen near term as this plays out.
Great episode!
I wonder what this means for our kids. In 12 years, my oldest is going to become an adult. I can't imagine how AI will change society, including the government, in that amount of time.
Wow, that started off sounding like a love-blinded enthusiasts monologue... but I appreciate how Matt held back and grounded the discussion again. Way to go! I'm really hyped and hopeful for AI too, but we need to be realistic here, it will not be just the silver bullet! And the capitalistic idealisms of the people that own and stear it right now have already proven not to be sustainable at all, so... Let's hope we reach a balance that will help all of humanity instead of just a couple eccentric billionaire narcissist in the long run!
I love the idea of a leader board - and I imagine with the polarity of the country - it'll just lead to a gridlock
I spent 30 years in government, the military, and the corporate world, serving as a U.S. Air Force officer and as a consultant with IBM and Ernst & Young, working in Silicon Valley and alongside companies like McKinsey and the Boston Consulting Group, collaborating with private and public sector clients around the world. Your guest quickly spouted a few interesting ideas within the first five minutes but mostly spoke about topics he clearly doesn’t understand. It's worth noting that many transformative technologies-such as AI, GPS, and the Internet-were largely built and funded by the government. The claim that the government lacks intelligent people is completely false. That said, there’s no doubt that the government can and must improve. Meanwhile, many Americans have stopped purchasing EVs and are increasingly disinterested in watching Musk's rocket launches in pursuit of Mars. If Musk wants to lead by example, perhaps he should cut DOGE by 50% and replace Vivek. Why do we need two DOGE leaders.
The issue is not that the government doesn't have any smart people, it is that stupid people far outnumber them in decision making roles. Nothing proves this point and speaks more about inefficient bloat than creating DOGE in the first place. Rather than actually reducing bureaucratic friction within existing departments, and instead opting to create a whole new unnecessary bureaucratic arm for plublicity. Next we will have the ministry of truth telling us how efficient DOGE is.
Regulations on AI are vital to survival🤬 of humans. Open AI and others are an existential threat. Get someone with knowledge on your show. Don’t be stupid. He’s a joke. His opinion is worth nothing.
This is comment 1, we love you all! Love this podcast, should be primetime on Times Square NY. The wave goes politics , slippery road 😂

When ChatGPT even the chef GPT for oh preview, doesn’t know the answer to something it just makes shit up all the time
Why would anyone be a fan of Elon Musk unless you just love shit in general
Why would anyone be a fan of Elon Musk unless you just love shit in general
why Copilot wasnt in the list ?
My S tier is ChatGPT and Gemini 1.5 pro There is no LLM that you can put in it hundreds of pages and hours of audio and you ask anything with 99% certainty that you will get an accurate information about your documents even if the information is cut out over hundreds of pages, you just cannot do that in GPT nor Claude and to top it all you have 2 million tokens input, the most accurate audio transcription especially in non English languages (arabic and finnish for me) I think gemini is quite underrated
If i had to choose which model to pay for subscription.. for photography, veterinary medicine info, stock help, social media . Is there 1 single one u recommend ? Chatgpt? Perplexity? Gemini?
Adobe premiere has built in transcription so in most cases I don't use any other app for it. But I will check Descript out. 1:03:45
Audible has been doing more AI voices for their audio books. I do NOT like listening to these! The AI voices are not near good enough for this. The pronunciation of common terms is wrong or they spell them out. I will not listen to these in most cases.
I also use Perplexity and Claude often. I enjoy using them for research and general searching. I think Claude is better for coding stuff.
Very helpful. Thx
That’s crazy
Prompting the most important part.
Today, I was given ‘Loveable’ which launched today that in my own opinion blows ChatGPT, Claude out the water ..: where application building lies. If you are new to coding.m. This is the messiah. I built the same app in under 1 hour to the hair pulling 3 days ChapGPT and Claude took me to build. This is seriously now the headliner for new interest in AI and building apps for me.
Claude is still way better with English composition. It sounds less stilted. It does not give me stuff I have to rewrite every time - Claude is the clear winner right now. Agreed that it can be touchy about certain subjects and that needs to be fixed. The rate-limiting problem also needs fixing asap or I’ll be forced to go back to GPT or pay for Gemini and start seriously testing that.
