Dharma Night: Walking the Buddhist Path to Freedom - The Path of Irregular Steps - Kulapriya
On Dharma Night we explore aspects of Buddhist teachings and practices to help us tread the Buddhist path. And there is so much to explore and learn and put into practice; sometimes it can feel a bit overwhelming…
We can go from weeks where we have a regular meditation practice, we are coming to the Buddhist Centre, going on retreat, reading Dharma books, listening to fabulous talks - and then everything can fall apart. It can be difficult to re-start and to know what to read and who to listen to - there are so many great Buddhist teachers, and other inspirational teachers, to engage with. And so many concepts and practices - not to mention a whole new language!
Jumping between teachers and different kinds of teachings can give some sense of Buddhism - and it can lead to stagnation and overwhelm and giving up.
What we need is a path of regular steps. A movement from a sporadic and irregular spiritual practice to one with momentum and consistency that is central to making actual progress on the path.
Over these next six weeks we’ll explore what it means to walk the path of Buddhist practice in a regular and systematic way, such that we experience an ever-deepening flavour of Enlightenment in our lives.

I love this man
Nice meditation, but ruined by intrusive adverts
Hi there, unfortunately we cannot disable ads on our page as we are not in the TH-cam Partner Programme. I understand it's a big inconvenience, especially for meditation videos. Apologies for that.
❤❤❤
get a microphone
🙏🙏🙏
Wtf advertisement in the middle of the meditation
Going on my first one on the 16th feb, I can’t wait 😊
Adds!!! Grrrrr
Do you realise this video is cut up by random ads? Literally impossible to get into the meditation
It could be your youtube membership. R u signed up for ad free?
@@assasin2016no, nor am I prepared to. I don’t mind ads at the beginning or end of videos to fund the platform, but putting them throughout videos in as jarring a way as possible so as to push people into paying for premium is an aggressively profiteering move. I can get uninterrupted meditations elsewhere.
This book totally changed my life. Thank you to Satyadasa, Joanna and Thomas.
Love & kindness to all beings ❤ May there be peace within everything ❤
Amazing but there are ads, got quite scared haha
Yes, sorry for the ads. Once we get more subscribers we can control the ads.
Well done, Sagaraghosa! Look forward to reading the book.
Why would you put a youtube add in the middle of a meditation video...
Thank you.
Its crazy that there are ads on this video.
a beautiful sermon, 🕉️ thank you🙏🏾
Our MORTAL EGOIC FLEETING NOT TRUTH DUKKHA lives are shaped by our minds + bodily action +chance and probability + resistance of opposing entities + "you're gonna need a permit for that sir." etc etc
Thank you so much. Just l need to make reflection about the subject as live situation happened. Everything was ok until the event,
what a brilliant talk!
I get ads every 5 minutes in this video, it can't be used like that. Do you have a video somewhere else, eg Vimeo. TH-cam broke all meditation and relaxation videos by pushing their ads.
m.th-cam.com/video/R6_36k_E1C8/w-d-xo.html
Sorry,it very difficult to hear you, better acoustics and your voice is very soft.❤
Is this some kind of advanced meditation where you have to be so zen and focused that you aren't bothered by the multiple in-video adverts?!?!
Hi, I started this meditation... But then there were adds in the middle. Please remove the adds they are quite destructive to the meditation
Was great until the loud advert during the meditation scared the crap out of me
Needs volume adjustment, way too low
This is good, but there are ads constantly popping up. Very distracting
Hi Kirsty, yes it seems that TH-cam have been increasing their advertising. From our end we will need to increase subscribers, so we are asking people to subscribe to our channel. Otherwise, from what we understand the frequency and type of the advertising is different and tailored to the persons individual TH-cam account.
The sound is so low. Can’t hear 😪
Hear hear!
advert right when you just relax @=)
nice content
Conscious evolution is in dependence of conditions. Some people create negative conditions and I hope we do try to create positive conditions.
We choose our response in dependence of conditions
The beginning of the path is not cast in ethics on its own meditation, wisdom and ethics are all at once together
Basically the world as we experience is not entirely chaotic, the laws bring in a certain order. Humans may think that they can destroy this order but this is untrue. Destroying the order is at the price of our own destruction
The beginning in Genesis is not in time it is a way to describe the arising of humanity
There is no separation between transcendental reality and conditioned reality for an enlightened mind.
Because views are conducive to conditioning conditions
Because we cannot compute all the conditions and we may feel out of control, basically unable to accept this deeper true. We need to let go of our ego to fully appreciate.
*PromoSM* 😕
Can I do it lying down because of a medical condition?
Yes, you can do it lying down
As progressing in meditation and understanding reality through Buddha teachings, there are more obstacles unexpectedly irises, it is my first year practicing or involving in Buddhist generally, l had been expecting to be much better instead getting worse. Could you advise please
Thank you Samudraghosha, I found this very interesting and thought-provoking.
Excellent Dhamma talk
