Man, that angle looking straight at the cars from turn 4 really shows how fast he hit the wall. When that car turned it was like the wall was a giant magnet and sucked it into it. It actually appears to pick up speed as it goes up the banking. R.I.P. Dale
@@Caterpillarjon ya rip if he wouldn’t of died he would of had more than 7 championships
@monstertruckvidz oh yeah. I think it's a really good chance he'd have got #8 in 2001.

You mean to tell me that you had to circle that track 1000 times or more to make 500 miles? No thanks.
No, it was 500 laps or 250 miles.
@@EricEllis-b2m Oh, ok.
@gehlen52 Makes a little more sense doesn't it?
And back then, it was a crap show, still miss you old days, mother time always will win.
Back then, stock cars were stock cars and not multimillion dollar rolling technology that had to be restrictor plated into submission. Look everybody! Nobody is passing for the first 400 laps!

Racing in the rain is the best. Always chaos
@@mikulitsi1819 ya I feel like it lets the driver show a lil more skill than usually
Racing in wet conditions is perfectly feasible on road circuits. But racing in wet conditions on ovals is suicidal.
It’s suicidal on road courses too. Extremely limited visibility and reduced stopping capability equals you aren’t avoiding a serious accident.
@@saragrant9749 Dangerous, yes. Suicidal, no. They wouldn’t put them on the track in the current day if there was a high risk of a tragic accident taking place. They’re racing drivers, they know how to handle themselves. Rain racing shows off their skills in the wet, and it’s always satisfying to watch.
@ there were races JUST THIS PAST YEAR that disprove what you just said. I watched several road course events in 2024 that were run in very unsafe conditions- heavy rain- and it was absolutely ridiculous to see. NASCAR learned its lesson, F1 and its constituents must certainly HAVE NOT.
@ you fail to point out what these races were that you watched.
To be dead honest, I actually like them racing in the rain it’s interesting
@@SFX1990 ya me too I agree I get so much criticism for saying that but I agree
Heavy cars Drivers who don't race in the rain Race in rain that not even F1 would face. It makes sense? Lol
F1 most certainly WOULD race in those conditions- they HAVE. Just look at Suzuka in 2014 which caused the death of Jules Bianchi and the more recent lower tier Formula events that have done so- with similar tragic results.
@@saragrant9749 Most of the races in the video took place after Bianchi's death, F1 would not currently race in conditions like that for safety reasons (I'm not complaining, a life is worth losing it due to stupidity)
It’s pretty sad that they can race in pouring rain but won’t let the cup series do it.
It’s pretty sad that so many other series try to race in the pouring rain- incredibly dangerous and unnecessary conditions- and Cup is the only smart series. They did it once- at Circuit of the Americas- and had a couple of vicious crashes that ultimately caused the race to end early. Lesson learned.
@ that was more the car tho. Remember how after that race the next races they made modifications to deal with the water spray from the back of the cars. They didn’t have any big issues in the lower series so idk why they failed in the cup series
The amount of rain at mid Ohio makes it to where you can't even see anything, and I would know because I live in ohio

That Mid Ohio race wasn't rain. It was a damn monsoon.

First clips of blue thunder was in El Paso of 2003 I can tell by the tires. Then it’s an onboard shot of Lyle in the spin cycle and him flipping over at world finals 3. Then blue thunder at San Antonio 2002. Max d 2004 St. Louis. Grave digger Minneapolis 2003 or 2004. The last grave digger clip was in El Paso and I believe in 2004.
Thank you so much buddy I appreciate it
I know for sure the Maximum Destruction one at 0:17 is from St. Louis 2004. The Grave Digger one at 0:20 is from the Minneapolis Metrodome in 2003 I think. I'm not quite sure of the Blue Thunder ones. The venues look familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it for certain right now.
Actually, the Minneapolis Grave Digger one might be from 2004.
