Love your reactions. Always fun watching people discover the incredible (G)I-dle. Here's some odds and ends. Soyeon has one of the best goofy songs you'll ever hear with "Beam Beam." That silly song always puts a smile on my face. You should pair it with Idle's "Dumdi Dumdi," which is another of their "Summer" songs. She is one of the toughest, bluntest mentor/judges in Kpop. You can find the survival shows where she participated in training rookies for a show and also as a judge in others. When those cat eyes narrow and her voice drops, you can tell she's really pissed. On one show, Soyeon thought they voted for someone based on their looks instead of their talent and Soyeon chewed out the audience! Soyeon is usually very controlled, but she does not suffer fools or slackers well. One of the reasons we love Idle so much is that the members do seem to be a very tight-knit, if somewhat chaotic, group. They work hard so when the pressure is off, they're complete goofs. If you really want to see an example of Momma Soyeon trying to herd her members, check out the tenth episode of "Country Dream Kitchen." It was a series where Soyeon goes to a classic Korean home in the countryside, invites guests, and cooks for them. (She had her older sister in one, which was...interesting.) The tenth episode was where Soyeon decided to do a "dinner theater" for all the grannies in the town, cook them a big meal, and perform "Klaxon" live. (The grannies had no idea who this orange-haired woman was. One of them hoped she wouldn't forget them when she became famous.) Anyway, the meal is huge, chicken and a live octopus, so Soyeon pulled in her members and it was about as chaotic as you can imagine. Soyeon's been cooking since she was a kid but the rest of them have little idea what to do so she's trying to coordinate everything and get it done before the grannies show up. They do get it done, just barely. The Producer Soyeon videos are interesting in that they show just what an incredible ear for sounds she has. The woman is incredible in that she has the entire song in her head and knows exactly how she wants it to sound, so we watch her patiently working with the members to get the beats and the inflections right. One last thing. Soyeon started her career being told she was too short, too ugly, and not talented enough to be an idol. Today, she's regarded as one of the top songwriter/producers in the business, and this was capped with her election to the Korean Copyright Association, the official group that handles copyright and royality issues. The non-voting tier is open to anyone, but to become a voting member, you not only have to hit a certain level of success, but you also have to be nominated and voted in. It's a measure of the respect she's gained in the industry that she's only one of three women in that tier, IU and Boa being the other two. Oh, one more thing. This wasn't mentioned in the guide (it is in a longer one) but despite Yuqi being a complete goof most of the time, she's actually one of the smartest women in Kpop. She was slated to enter the top tier of a school that only admits the top five percent of students in China. Her parents wanted her to go, but Yuqi's dream was to be an idol so she said no and moved to Korea to train. Looking forwards to more Idle from you...😊

When you said that the voice sounded familiar, it was the VA that voiced Sunohara in Clannad and Afterstory, and the main male VA I recognize from the Full Metal Panic series.

For me the clear highlight of the solo is Beauty Full, because I listened to pop punk a lot when I was younger. Second favourite is a toss up between Playground or Cherry (Real Miracle), but only with the music videos. Both of them are ridiculously wholesome. No Dot is awesome, but the live version is so much better. As for the Dreamcatcher songs, I don't rank.

Was watching people react to this today and stumbled upon you. Yes this is the actual OFFICIAL english dub of this show. So the story goes is that it was based on a Japanese Author who wrote ghost stories for them. The anime failed super hard in Japan as it is extremely standard and kind of boring. So when Funimation got the license to make a dub they were only given 2 rules. 1-All Charcters must have their same names 2-The ghosts must be defeated in the same way. So the plot can't change. But that was it and since it was such a huge failure in Japan they decided to make crap up and basically make an official abridged series. There were NO RULES and everyone was trying to out crude and crass each other......so they accidently made one of the best English dubs ever because of how little everyone cared about the show. Honestly the compilations on youtube are far better than the show. Its so crude and crass and thats what makes it amazing. I found your channel and will watch you after this vid as you seem nice and will sub if you have seen animes I like too.

Enjoyed your reactions. LION was my choice for SOTY in 2019. Soyeon is brilliant! For LION she created the concept, composed and produced the music, wrote the lyrics, and developed the stage. Which she does for most of their music. gidle is my favorite kpop gg and I'm looking forward to many more of your reaction to them. Reacting to their guide next is a good idea.

Just PLEASE be careful! make sure to pause and all of that during reactions, keep it clean so the idiotic TH-cam bots and Cube Entertainment don't give you channel strikes. And be careful of any of the Japanese releases too; Japan has its own WEIRD laws, they are even worse than Korea for trying to keep their entertainment to themselves! They block stuff all the time and hand out channel strikes like candy at a parade.

this anime was so unpopular in Japan (came out in 2000/2001, hence the back of the "Jewish" kid's shirt, that the crew behind it was like: "you know what? let's put a trust in the American dub team to raise our show's popularity BY ANY MEANS POSSIBLE, NO HOLDING BACK. and the results are here: an abridged OFFICIAL dub that goes back to 2005 (!)

Clips were from many different variety shows, but they weren't their own, on their channel you can find I-TALK, which are backstage videos of their concerts, MV recordings etc, there were many clips from there as well, also I-LOG which are vlogs, for example from disneyland, gym and much more. They put a lot of effort to produce their songs perfectly and practised hard with vocal coaches, everyone with different one to make sure they sound unique. I highly recommand to check out some of their "Recording behind" to some songs, from the ones you know Nxde, Klaxon, Queencard. You will see how perfectly they do everything in the process and how they work, writing and producing own songs really makes a difference. Most of my favourite Gidle songs are their b-sides, reacting to the whole albums after you're done with most popular songs with MVs would be a great idea, then you can really see how fantastic their music is 😄 Very nice video as always, thanks!

Just to clarify, because the video didn't mention, Soojin was cleared of the bullying accusations, in fact, there are reports from her former colleagues that she was the person who was bullied. Currently, she debuted as a solo artist, and is doing very well!

One of the things that makes I-DLE unique, is the fact that they all have different tones, and Soyeon has made efforts to have them develop their own unique sounds, develop their own production abilities, and encourage them to stand-out and be solo artists. It has only made them sound so much better as a group, and widen their fan base. They are my Queens =) And yes, they write their own music, and produce the tracks, working with the other members in the production of their own songs.
