what was the jazz version called?
These vocal workouts are so much easier on my voice. I’m going to adopt these.
The Bee Gees actually did this sound and songs like staying alive and how deep is your love as well as how can you mend a broken heart? 1970s coroner, Al Green practically based his singing career on using twang I particularly hear it in the song let’s stay together he covered the Bee Gees. How can you mend a broken heart using twang beautifully?
Thank you
Thank you
Wonderful
Hey! Big question here, i can get that twang effect in a few different ways, and one of them is raising the back of the tongue. To the point where i do no longer see the hole into the throat. I feel a very big pressure into the hard palate. Is this bad, or is this an entirely different technique? I think i can do it without raising the tongue, but i am always unsure if i am actually "JUST" closing the epiglottal thing, or if i am constricting my throat in some other way.. To clarify, when ysing twang, should the tongue still be in the same position as when not using twang?😁
😅😅😅bebop jazz please
😅😅😅 thanks a lot
Nasalised singers really irk me. Everyone raves about Idina Menzel, but all I hear is nasality, and I cannot listen to her.
I LOVE this scale! And this video! Thank you!
You're incredible. I love this!
Your videos are all so fun to follow and useful! Thanks so much for them and for going straight into it not talking for hours.
Thanks a lot
This is so beautiful❤❤❤
I so much prefer it this way, starting with the DO instead of LA
Hey, is it possibel to purchase the whole lecture recording on Lydian? Thanks
Chords 5:09.
Lovely❤
All right and Great fun! It's just the ticket for me to practice the minor feel. On another note I want to hire a vocal coach that can give me the right advise at a fair price. Know anyone?
Wow tank you i really love you go on please
You have a really beautiful singing voice! Very powerful yet soothing!
Can I use nalsa voice when I want to reach high note?
i need help here , which minor scale is this ? a ?
It's the minor Blues scale.
It's the minor Blues scale.
Why do some vocal coaches tells you to practice nasal exercises and to apply it to singing especially during head voice??
That's a complex question. We often use terminology to evoke a feeling in the student. The sound may not actually BE a nasalized sound but it may resonate in the nasal cavities and cartilages and feel "nasal" for the student. It also depends on what style of music you sing, but we so need these resonances when we do microphone singing, so we can cut through the band. Again, a very simplified answer to a complicated question.
Very cool thanks!!
This is actually a free master class. I'm a music major and I can tell you everything she's taught here are advanced stuff for musicians but she's given it away for nothing 😊thank you
Hi Winny, thank you so much for your kind comments, I appreciate it so much!
Merci pour vos exercices originaux !
Thank you for watching, glad you like them.
Awesome
I liked how you emphasized having bubbles even ja doing everything easy and lightly. Did I understand right that you chanced to jar, because you wanted more flow resistance? You will get it by dipping your tube deeper. Because when you hold the jar, which is heavier that the bottle, you will have to work more to hold it. Sometimes it's better if you don't have to hold anything relatively heavy. Have the bottle on table or such and just fix the tube so it stays where you want it. This will make it even more easy and light. 😊
I thought ri was the minor third si the minor 6…is that only if they are functioning as augmented seconds and fifths?
Grazie ❤
i love how you present easy steps for improvising and themed topics. And I also love how you plan your video lessons to allow space for when I've grown a little so I can do my own thing too, Thank YOU!
Thank you Nicole for this lovely feedback. I appreciate it and am glad you find the lessons helpful.

Sukran....this is amazing experience
Great Video! So simple and efficient! I have a question: what chords are you using in the backing track? Thank you!
Hi Martina, the chords here are FMaj#11 and G/F, going back and forth. Thanks for checking this out!
@@VocalMusician thank you so much💚
Very helpful! Could you recommend a nebulizer?
Hi there, I have a Hyboloy nebulizer that I got on Amazon. The saline solution you have to also buy online or get a prescription for. Do not use regular water.
That's a really fun exercise, thx for that!
Another wonderful and informative tutorial. I am a big fan of the Vocalmist. Keep sharing this vital information.
Very nice explained, thx! I wanted to ask why on the paper is note Si, but it is written Do. The same with Fa and Sol?
Hi there, I am using moveable Do where the Tonic of the key I am in is Do, as opposed to fixed Do, where C is always Do. Here we are in the key of BB Major, hence Bb is Do. This system makes more sense to me, especially in jazz where we tend to move through several keys within a song. This is great for developing relative pitch, meaning practicing the relationship of a pitch to another pitch or to a key center. Both fixed and moveable Do have their place, I simply prefer the moveable version. Hope this helps, and thanks for checking out my video!
yes, yes, thank you so much, you re very charismatic, I love your lessons! @@VocalMusician
Hello my friend Elisabeth!!!...No one better than you, to make a reaction video and analyze this incredible singer, with an stunning range voice, who is leaving all the experts, literally with their jaws on the floor (Do you remember Jim Carrey's movie "The Mask"? well, just like that)...In 2017, a 22-year-old singer from Kazakhstan, named Dimash Kudaibergen, was invited to participate in the famous Chinese program for professional singers called "The Singer"... In his first appearance, Dimash covered one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse"...Since then all this madness began on the internet, TH-cam and social networks worldwide and he is already considered the best singer on the entire planet... It is almost impossible to see a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges of 8 octaves, that is, the 88 keys of a digital piano, which allows him to reach all registers, both masculine and feminine, that is, he can sing as Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Contratenor, Contralto, Mezzosoprano and Soprano...You can see in TH-cam to all kinds of experts (Vocal coaches, analysts, singing teachers, singers, youtubers, reactors, etc.), who have dedicated themselves to watching his videos and verifying for themselves that what is said about him is completely true...In addition to all this, Dimash is capable of singing in more than 12 languages....In all his concerts worldwide, tickets are sold in just seconds, via the internet, due to the immense popularity he has worldwide.... Anyway, I think you haven't met this impressive singer yet, so here is the link to the first song that Dimash performed in China in that year 2017, the song S.O.S., and if it doesn't bother you, I would like you to mention me as the person who recommended it to you...Warning: You have to be prepared for thousands of views, comments and new subscribers...The video It is more recent, so it does not have the millions of views that the first ones, but it is more complete, including an intro, subtitles in several languages and better audio and sound quality...th-cam.com/video/bDX3FhmyNac/w-d-xo.html
