Would u sell this one ? 😫😫
That Zurich en ar head has saved me twice
Great tutorial really appreciate the time you put into this video. Keep em coming my man
A year ago or more I saw this custom on Reddit and tried to make it but lost steam after I painted the hair black. Still have a headless savage He-Man, haven’t cut the loincloth off yet or anything. Do you happen to have an eBay anywhere where you sell these from time to time? I don’t like how most Conan figures look so old and grizzled. I’d like a more youthful Conan like you’ve made here.
@@Koryn_99 I do have an eBay but don’t sell customs all that often. Most of the stuff I make is just for me. Swapping the loincloth and legs is super easy. Painting the hair is really half the work. If you don’t have a regular He-man you can get one on eBay for really cheap. The original release head has a great youthful looking face.
Dang, I need to get to work & follow your tips to make me some Conan figs like yours. As you said.. You can never have enough Conan the barbarian. ⚔️
Use Kazar as a teen Conan. Lol
@@r.davidhill7639 right after making this video I actually got Kazar on sale and that was my first thought. That will probably be one of my next videos
btw have you tried the mcf rebirth batman cape on this setup? seems to be perfect match
Just found your channel, love it!!!! Please make a video about that mattel batman on the left, iirc its the mattel multiverse dick as batman rigt?
@@BGC002Promotion yup it’s a customized Mattel Dickbats. I’ll put it on the list.
@SargesCustomTutorials thanks! looking forward to it!
👏👏👏👏 espectacular
Wonderful tutorial! I learned a LOT! The removal of the arm pegs was a big help!
How do you shorten the legs
@@tonycardona9597 there’s a good look at the process here: th-cam.com/video/bvLfqkwU4Ig/w-d-xo.htmlsi=e8pTsUO_MH0NhlNP
I learned a lot from this video
How did you heat the cape and neck area
@@tonycardona9597 I use a heat gun but hair dryer would also work.
@ thanks brother!
ah needed a tutorial for the arms shortening for the dc essentials
@@NECROMAGICIAN666 th-cam.com/video/bReqIyBiZuU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZCdfZbGX1XQE14WZ This is for wonder woman but the process is the same and I show a modified Batman in the video.
Muy bueno , justo estaba pensando en hacer lo mismo con esta figura, ya que solo la compré por orco y el hacha.
@@federicolopez9932 thank you! My next video is actually going to be turning that Orco into a more classic version.
@@SargesCustomTutorials gracias a vos!!! Saludos y un abrazo.
What do you use to warm the figures? Heat gun? Hair dryer? Hot water?
@@ScottAT I use a heat gun but I’ve also used a hair dryer in the past. Hot water is just more steps and I can’t do it at my work station.
@@SargesCustomTutorials thank you.
Thank you for the tips. I turned this figure into the mid 80’s Batman who drove the black-blue Batmobile with the bat face built into the front as a slab of armor. He looked like this back then. I used the black knightfall arms and head, I installed the electrified brass knuckles as well because I remember he had something like that back then as an option.
I forgot to mention in the video that the Conan video is coming soon. It has been shot. It’s being edited.
I love that Essentials headsculpt. To me its a perfect comic Batman
@@pmadi323That and the Essentials Knightfall head are definitely my favorites. I wish that line had gotten far enough to give us a Hush Batman so we could have short, medium, and long ears.
What is your preferred method for hearing up parts of figures
I’ve always preferred a heat gun or blow dryer to hot water. It’s just easier for me. I can have a heat gun right at my work station rather than having to hang out in my kitchen.
I'm questioning your fandom of Batman. Clearly, you don't have enough 😏
I absolutely agree. I’ve actually been thinking of doing a video specifically for all my custom DC stuff but it’s gonna have to be a series because it comprises most of my collection. Admittedly the vast majority of which is Batman.
Great custom, smart use of parts, materials and skills! And good video as well. Thanks
Looks awesome great work...
Would love a video about the custom dwarf made from motu origins buck. Looks great!
Once you customize them they're not worth a dime
@@CL2300block as someone who’s been making and selling customs for several years I can tell you that is definitely not true if it’s good custom work. That is especially true for McFarlane figures because most of them don’t have any detail paint work which makes them look a lot better.
What a waste of time all that Drilling and you didn't do nothing
I assume you’re referring to the torso articulation. Its definitely not a huge difference but it’s better than it was. And nothing is a waste of time if you enjoy it.
Why are you so negative?
Is that a naked old man elf?
turned out great dude - that bearded head was perfect 👍
Make it at least 2 people requesting a review of your Masterverse Conan custom. That guy looks excellent. This custom right here is sweet! I have had this Ming figure for a couple of months but not sure what to do with him. Like you, I got him on a deal and thought he would make some excellent fodder. Love the content, come on with that Masterverse review!
Im debating making another one from start to finish or just doing a quick overview. I have the parts to make another but I was waiting for a Masterverse Vikor release to use my spare savage He-Man. Its a pretty simple custom other than the painting so maybe i can do an abridged version.
@@SargesCustomTutorials can't wait to see it, either way. He is a banger! I only have the Toy Biz Conan and want a nicely articulated Conan. Missed the Mezco Conan's, and they were kinda expensive to start. Super 7 just doesn't articulate enough. So a custom would be the way to go. Can't wait to see your recipe, thanks for your time & content!
Excellent Custom Job. 👍🏼 Great use of that odd Ming body. I very much enjoy “how-to” videos on figure customizing. Perhaps you can create a THUNDARR the Barbarian figure. He’s a cool character with only one figure ever made I believe.
With the Masterverse He-Man being so cheap Im surprised I haven't seen more Thundarr customs out there. I never watched the show so its not not super high on my priority list but it would be a real simple custom. I've seen the original Masterverse He-Man for as low as $10 on a few sites.
could you do one on the batman prestige suit?
@@spiderzillacollects I wasn’t planning on buying that figure. I did a full repaint of the regular Arkham Knight Batman but I’ve since sold it.
If you're interested in a custom batfleck head, I've seen people use the muff toys 1/12 bvs head for this figure and it significantly improves the figure
Yea.. darken the green pants & it’s a winner. 👍🏼
The usable rucksack was a cool surprise.
Dick Grayson as batman will be the way to kitbash a batman like what you're talking about at the end.
I think i like the long ears better, the smooth neck piece blends in with the smooth cowl very well. The short ear head is too close to the original in terms of just shape, and the detail while it matches the body, doesn’t like right with the smoothness of the neck. I also just don’t like the grimace.
Loving the mod and your DC Essentials collection is sick! Have you tried adding alternative hands to your dc essentials figure? I tried with marvel legends ones but the peg is just too big for it
@@Widjajajaja Thanks! I love the DC Essentials line. They’re not perfect but great for customizing. I haven’t tried that for the same reason but I suppose you could drill the hole just slightly bigger and warm up the arm before inserting the larger peg.
You just earned a sub! Great work.
Great video man, thank you. Subbed! Do you have any idea what figure i could used to steal the neck peg from? I bought a used black and silver recovery suit Superman on Ebay a few days ago hoping that his peg would do but he hasn't arrived yet. Do you happen to know if that figures neck peg is short enough?
@@gmon78 I don’t know exactly but my understanding is there a lot that have the shorter pegs. The one figure I’ve heard will swap and benefit both is Martian Manhunter as his neck is a little stubby and he’s an alien so his neck can be longer and it makes sense.
@@SargesCustomTutorials Excellent. I have that one! Cheers man👍
Brilliant custom! Great show of how you did it also! Thanks for sharing so much!
I think this has accessories for both the black and green Lemurian variants. I need this. Cool
I replaced my figure's head with a custom "BatgirL", painting the hair black. She's basically Bertinelli as Batwoman, which is the direction i preferred for the character.
Hard to see how much you improved it, till you see the side by side. Looks awesome now! Nice work
Yeah it’s subtle. Making the legs shorter isn’t super exciting but makes the figures look a lot better IMO. It’s just a change most don’t understand until you see it.
hows the articulation after this amalgamation ??
Everything is the same except the hips which are better after I trimmed away some of the diaper.
It's hilarious how the figure is a Frankenstein's Monster of not just reused parts but also designs the character had. The cape on this figure is more in tune with her current look (though that figure has white eyes instead of all black). Though the mask is a bit of her old but with a tiny mix of her Titans East (which had extra stitching). That's a hint to me that McFarlane is SO gonna re-release her probably as a variant with the white eyes and probably closer Bat symbol in a probable two-pack with Stephanie Brown (Batgirl/Spoiler). I made two custom versions myself. One is an unmasked variant with changeable hands. I used the Batwoman Beyond unmasked variant since she not only was an older mold, but the head looks spot on to Cass's unmasked look. I used some tack I got from buying a third-party spider sense on the head peg (since the pegs are different). The fists do work well but I had to use nail polish to tighten the ball joint. The other custom is a more "comic-accurate" Cass. That one, I used the closed fists and feet on the Batman Rebirth (Jim Gordon) to give her a little more closer to comics look. Now all I need to do is find more tack, since I kind like those Spider-Sense effects. You wouldn't happen to know the exact kind of tack is called? ;^_^
I don’t know exactly but I’ve used 3M sticky tack and museum putty and they both work fine. More often I just use hot glue to fill the void as a more semi permanent solution. Hot glue in the hole, petroleum jelly (vasoline) on the peg and move it around while the glue dries. I demonstrate the method in my Comic BVS Batman video towards the end.
I'm loving your videos!!! And man, show that Conan!!! PLEASEEEE
such a shame mcfarlane still couldn't get the proportions right. I thought something looked off at first glance and it looked so much better now w this fix.
Great job man!
Amazing! You should try a blue version!
I just bought the new Shadow Slate from the Savage Crucible store website. Only $19 each but shipping is $15 so that was kinda weak. I guess if you buy many the shipping is okay. Anyway, I wanted to get all these Wave 1 reptiles, pretty cool figs. I’d like to see a video on your custom Conan figures in the background. That Superman looks like a John Carter from Mars the way you have him decked out. Nice. 👍🏼
Those videos are on my to do list for sure. I just have a backlog of new figures I’m working through so I can get them on my shelves. And good eye that is indeed my custom John Carter of Mars.
Yea, The Bermejo head looks best. 👍🏼
