Installation Instruction of HPLC Column Hardware by uHPLCs
Welcome back to our channel! Today, we’re going to show you how to correctly install packing hardware into a 20# core HPLC column. Whether you're an experienced chromatographer or just starting, this guide will help you do it right the first time.
1. The first step is to distinguish the long joint end and the short joint end of the 20# compressed core chromatographic empty column tube. The column tube has two horizontal lines near the long joint section, but there is no short joint end;
2. The second step is to unscrew the outer joint of the long joint end, and then remove the inner joint of the compressed core. Be careful not to touch the sieve plate during this process.
3. The third step is to connect the 20# compressed core chromatographic empty column tube to the outlet of the homogenization tank according to the corresponding threaded interface, and tighten them with the help of tools.
4. The fourth step is to install the entire homogenization tank on the column packing machine for filling.
5. The fifth step is to remove the chromatographic column after filling, and pay attention to vertical operation to prevent the filler from leaking
6. Finally, cover the inner long joint of the chromatographic column compression core on the upper end of the column tube, press it down hard to make the joint and the sealing ring completely sealed, and then screw and reinforce the outer joint according to the threaded interface.
This completes the process of filling the compressed core chromatographic column.
