Welcome to Friendly Manitoba, In my video let me show you every corner of Winnipeg, I'll show you the bus route of the city to familiarize yourself of where you can get your bus to visit some historic places, eat and dine and also do some shopping.

LOCAL CRACKHEAD RUNS AT 600 MILES PER HOUR
Did you mean 60 miles per hour? In Canada we use kilometer per hour but 600 mph is ridiculous that is way too fast. In the highway the maximum speed is 100 kph plus 10% of max speed and that is legal. There are some highways that has 110kph and still you can add 10% on that. Among cities with populations under 100K Thompson ranks #1 in violent crime. #1 in all forms of crime actually. I was born there and left at age 12. The natives there do not work, get drunk or high daily then go out stealing if the next govt handout cheque is too far away to get more drugs lol This is Thompson lol

I was born in Thompson. By the time I left at age 22 I already had chlamydia 4 times. A town full of drugged up drunk indigenous and they all carrying something nasty you can only experience by feeding them crack or more beer. Most crime ridden city of Canada by stats 5 years in a row lol

I see that they still have Parker Burrel’s Boat there. It was used for Commercial Freshwater Fishing at Dawson Bay on Lake Winnipegosis.

I lived in Morden the first 4 years of my life when my parents moved to Winnipeg, now at age 78 I live in Tennessee.

So,nothing on the Core Drill (Diamond Drill in Canada} ? The Drill that hit the Main Ore Body is set up on the Discovery Hole. This is one of the most important parts of the History of Thompson. The story is that the guy operating the Drill was told to Drill 20 feet and shut down and get the Drill ready to move but he Drilled another 20 feet and hit the Ore Body. It turned out to be the biggest Nickel Deposit in Canadian History at the time.

@@FriendlyPrairie There is more to the story about Thompson but I decided to hold back a bit because TH-cam deletes my comments about Canada. Kind of like they think I’m making up Stories. I lived in Thompson for about 4 years and worked for the Company that Drilled the first Nickel Ore Samples and had Harry for my first Supervisor. I won’t mention his last name but he was well known in the Company. There was also a Mine at SOAB Creek that was supposed to go into production and they ~laid 40 miles of Railway Track and put up a Camp for the Miners and Sunk a Shaft and put up the Headframe and when they got down to the Ore Body, it wasn’t rich enough to Mine. The Drilling was done in the direction that the Ore Body was laying where it was supposed to be Drilled through the Ore Body. The Headframe and the Railway Tracks were still there about 20 years ago when I was last there. Thompson started out as a Tent Camp in the mid 1950s and after the Nickel strike it grew into a City really fast. In 1967 Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip flew into Thompson and had a Ceremony to declare Thompson a City because it grew to a population of 25000. From there the Motorcade travelled to The Pas and through Mafeking to Swan River where they stopped for a short time at the Swan River Fairgrounds and on to Winnipeg to meet with the Students from The University of Manitoba. Thompson was also the Center for expediting Equipment to a lot of the Manitoba Hydro Projects on the Nelson River and it was the main source of Food,Medical Services and Supplies for a lot of the Indian Reservations and Métis Settlements in the area around Thompson and Communities along the Railway from The Pas to Churchill. Manitoba has a lot of History but like anything else,a lot of people who live there don’t really understand the History of Manitoba and it is slowly dying.

Thompson would be an ideal candidate for "crime tourism". People could be brought in for a tour of all the chalk outlines, and where all the other incidents happened that didn't end up in death, like the many stabbings, the child abuse, the machete attacks, the blitz attacks, thefts and vandalism. They could ride downtown in the same kind of buggies they have to watch polar bears, and they could have long sticks to poke the locals and get them riled up. There's a reason Thompson is big into "wolves", both the four legged kind and the two legged kind.

Been thru Ashern on highway 6 heading to Flin Flon twice a year since 1972 neat little town !
That’s the shortest way that I know from hwy 6 then hwy 60 and hwy 10 to The Pas / Flin Flon. Thanks for the support! Have a nice weekend!
130 kms north of The Pas on highway 10 we owned a cottage at Bakers Narrows south of a little mining town called Flin Flon , What a beautiful place and the fishing was world class on lake Athapapuskow 1971-2014 sure miss it and my friends up there !

I was able to visit Bakers Narrow and had a chance to go fishing some yellow perch and went straight to Flinflon but I only have pictures that I included in my Manitoba Landmarks, I was able to go back recently in The Pas and so I had a chance to take some video.
