2024 marked the five-year anniversary of Greener Kirckaldy's ownership of their community building and 100 years of the community land ownership movement in Scotland.
This is a story of this community’s journey to community ownership and how that empowered them to do more on climate, build resilience and help people in need.

Great job Davie, as ever. Congrats to our fellow ECOLISE family members in SSCAN, big hugs from many of the Lisbon team, who together we're building a little ecovillage just outside the city... And a whole lot more. So much going on with #EDSC2020... Ye kicked things off in tip top fashion. (Our vid from Saturday will be up soon) Abraços.

Caterina, and all others with internet sound issues in this video, my first instinct was to suggest you perhaps try expanding your internet bandwidth by buying a wifi blaster- a simple plugin object, that over-rides a behaviour of most internet companies called "bandwidth throttling", that such companies typically do (around the world, I believe). They generally do this a few months after signing you up to force you to jump to a more expensive internet package. I was tempted to get one myself as they seem to be half price during these Covid times approx AU$50. A wifi blaster apparently helps you get good maximum internet speed and bandwidth in all parts of your house or business too. Of course, ironically, these are the sort of technical objects we should be trying to boycott (or bypass), as individuals ( as buying more things is what we should be avoiding!) according to our climate helping (& not hindering) behaviour! So, on a more systemic level, that might affect thousands of people, rather than just you and I, maybe another conversation we might all have in our COVID lockdown times might be around the bright idea I just had to contact these unethical internet companies ( in zoom meetings en masse!) to try to persuade THEM to reverse such unethical corporate practice en masse. Then we might have more smiles and understanding and less grimaces over sound warping in our conversations! much love. love your concepts and fine work people! Kerry Nicholls
