I like Chelsea, but what I liked most about this was Jeff. I come from small town Michigan (Paw Paw) and would like to think that even if I had achieved his success, I would be drawn back home also. I have lived in a lot of places - at least 9 states, and I found things to like in all of them, but Michigan has always remained my favorite - though on occasion, when the temps dip below zero and the snow is deep, I do reminisce about San Diego and Orlando.

It’s interesting to take a look back at the industry that made the small Michigan cities prosper. Chelsea has quite a lot of history . I was from Dowagiac, Mi. Dowagiac was also rich with history for a small city of under 7,000 inhabitants . The Round Oak stove company. These old parlor stoves were found just about everywhere. Today they are a collectors item. They are beautiful when they are found cleaned and the chrome is polished. Dowagiac was also home to James Heddon who was the inventor of the artificial fishing lure. Heddon lures we’re manufactured in my hometown until 1983. Dowagiac is also the headquarters for the Potawatomi Indian Nation.

I am a Native Michigander born and raised in Detroit. I have moved around a lot since leaving Detroit in my mid 20's. At one point we lived in Pinckney for several years (not far from Chelsea). Always loved Chelsea. Currently in Wisconsin for work reasons. Thinking Chelsea may not be a bad place for retirement.

I used to enjoy Cleary's pub on Friday nights....dinner, drinks and live music. Yeah, buddy.

My mom is from Chelsea. My favorite childhood memories are spending summers in Chelsea! Now, I go yearly with my little one.

I was in Chelsea today (originally from Chesaning, MI). It was the first time in years that I've been there!! I hope I'll get the opportunity of meeting Jeff in person one day should I ever make it back down again.

I lived in CHELSEA back in 1989, i worked in Chelsea Community Hospital back then....we did a road trip there a week ago ( drove from Indiana ) And visited after 31 yrs ( October 2020 ) just to see what it looks like and it brought back happy memories! I wish I can find out if some of the people that I have met 31 yrs ago are still living there..... if you folks remember a Filipino PT back in in 1989, let me know, I would love to hear from you! Specially to John O'Connor! Where are you now?
