The Fremont county combined court and Affiliates will pay me the $30,001,000,000.00 Restitution they owe me including all late fees Right Now. This is a Statement of Facts Total Truth Correct and Accurate to the Best of My knowledge and Belief.

My apologies for this essay-level comment ... but ... is it just /me/, or is there an apparent (real or imagined?) nod to the lore and characteristics of the infamous Kaiju, "Mothra," here? Among other telling visual clues here, Mothra is perhaps most well-known as a god or being representing protection, loyalty, transformation, confusion, rebirth, and, most overwhelmingly, love. The weird path that led me to this bit of poetic short filmmaking is another essay in and of itself. Yet lacking any more fitting (necessarily immediate) venue to field this odd OCD need to vomit out a restorative diatribe (that's bugging the feck out of me), I apologize (again) and in advance for the short novella/thesis that follows ;-). I'm sure YT's character limit will kick in before my own does lol... On the first of my now frequent re-plays of this work, my initial Pavlovian reflex was one of purely creative interest, a simple but profoundly immediate knee-jerk/spasm of emotional catharsis. This is a huge victory, to say the least. It is rare that I should stumble upon such a thing, and it is only equaled by my own (perhaps too) "pickiness" regarding film, music, and creative "stuff" in general. Then, so many of the following views led me to the now vexing, more clinical "unwinding" (couldn't help that one) of what is going on with some of the imagery in the work/video/film/???). And, specifically, how I can't shake the Mothra vibe. To quote Ann Magnuson/Bongwater, "..but damnit, but these things bother me!" IMO, the not-so-subtle (but subtle) nods to the Mothra/kaiju mythos were immediately (real or imagined) notable upon my very first viewing. I'm wondering if I'm a lone freak in this or if others inclined to such ponderings made the same correlation. I mean, there's /so much/ in this production that points to the /idea/ that is Mothra when simply considering the nebulous, twisting nature [ 00:54 ] of the terrible and incredible thing called "love" ... the intertwining aspect of love (literally and practically here), the ensnaring and inescapable inevitability of it (IMO and when it happens proper-like). To quote Raymond Carver: "But this word love - / this word grows dark, grows / heavy and shakes itself, begins / to eat, to shudder and convulse / its way through this paper / until we too have dimmed in / its transparent throat and still / are riven, are glistening, hip and thigh, your / loosened hair which knows / no hesitation.” Anyway, it's 2 a.m., and I'm down the typical rabbit hole, scouring what I can find of the Mothra verse/mythos and lore, which I know very little of outside of the occasional film; I'm certainly not a fervent follower of the kaiju 'verse in general but do enjoy most Zilla verse films I've seen. Among many discoveries while scrubbing the vast and infinite, here are a few bits, quoted from various found-sources: (1) "Mothra is usually portrayed as a benevolent protector" (2) "is typically portrayed as a colossal sentient larva (caterpillar) or imago" 00:52 (3) "is worshipped as a benevolent goddess" (4) "is a largely heroic character typified by a blinding light that can shatter the sky" [ 04:10 ] (5) "exhibits a single-minded focus on defending that which she loves" (6) "Mothra reiterates a message of mutual brotherhood through her self-sacrifice, death and rebirth multiple times" (7) "Mothra is both corporeal and incorporeal" (wtf else is love?) (8) "Mothra becomes the embodiment of differences, which can be cultural, ideological, racial, sexual, etc." (wtf else is love?) (9) "the fear of Mothra is also a form of attraction, representing something forbidden, and as such is repulsive to the audience, but also envied for the freedom she possesses" 10) "her positive forces rise out from a negative" 11) "the Shobijin song of Mothra is a 'prayer for peace and prosperity to last for all eternity'" (till death do us part?) (11) "Mothra is the physical manifestation of a typhoon, most notably in manifestation of 'divine winds'" [ back to 04:10 ] (12) "Mothra never really dies, as new life will be born from her egg" (13) "Mothra's design is influenced by silkworms, their imagos, and those of giant silk moths in the family Saturniidae" (14) "Though Mothra is generally portrayed as female, male individuals of her species have also been featured" (15) "Mothra's adult form consisted of a wire-operated mechanical puppet" [throughout] (16) "The folklore and fairy tales tell of a winged creature of blinding light, an angel of the clouds, ... god-like luminescence" [ 04:00 again ] (17) "Mothra is first seen as a larva hatching from her egg" [ 03:27 to 03:50 ] (18) "Mothra can produce a strong, durable thread ... which she can use to ensnare and immobilize" [ 02:42 ] ... And /shiza!/ ... I'll stop there (albiet, begrudingly) ... So thanks to Elina Charbila (aka "Kid Moxie"), D Lynch, Badalamenti, and whomever else bothered me with this lovely, brief but gigantic question mark of a work/concern. The commitment and love (if I may) evident throughout and in regard to effort on the part of all involved is epic. The production is just the sort of conundrum that sees me up all night (like now, 2:04 a.m. TX time). I had to get it out, which, I hope, confirms the success of those who dreamt up this lovely bit.
