The Lough Erne Landscape Partnership (LELP) was a 5 year partnership programme, which ran from January 2019 - December 2024. Funded by The National Lottery Heritage fund, LELP's focus was to promote and preserve the unique built, natural and cultural heritage of Lough Erne and the people who surround it.
LELP addressed ecological issues, reconnecting communities with their heritage, bringing economic and social benefits to the area, and creating links between stakeholders to realise a longer-term goal of the coordinated management of the landscape.

Lovely.
This is so beautiful and makes me so intensely sad. Think of all the birds and insects and plants erased forever for the sake of nutrient-poor industrialized produce, let alone for indulgences like sugar cane and golf courses and thrice-daily meat. The people in charge need to hear more stories like this and make some real changes before it's too late.
I witnessed a few pristine areas in South Florida that were permanently ruined it's a sick feeling that will have forever
Good to see one being made, I remember seeing one washed up on Tranish island after a huge flood many years ago. It lay there for a long time, has probably rotted away now. Not many original ones left
