1:20 How come the digital tachometer reads 4,600 but the analog one 2:07 reads 20,000? Is the 20k reading the turbine speed and the output shaft is geared down?
Not a first test run, your thermocouple displays showed warm to begin with, purged warmer when cranked, and then started to cool as fresh air was drawn through. No big deal. But sweet engine, thanks for sharing.

its a turboprop engine....all the trust of the turbine is consumed to turn the outgoing shaft from the gearbox. exhaust gasses just barelly crawl out :D

Helicopter engine! I wonder if that single tachometer is for the N2, because the gas-generator turbine, turns 40,000 rpms or more at idle!
