Exact manufacturer and age of clock is unknown, person that sold it mentioned it being a Vienna though the key says Dufa on it.

Damn, what is it towing a 5000 pound trailer?
Tengo un Mazda b4000 1994 4.0 automático es decir misma máquina y acelera mucho mejor y estamos en 2024
i counted 17.1s 0-60 mph (0-97kph) and about 17.4s 0-100 kph (0-62 mph)
It's tired ... transmission is slipping asf too
Chrysler junk
I'm looking to buy one of those as my car, do you recommend it?
Looks like it should’ve gone faster. I seen the cars (mainly Chrysler cirrus or Dodge Stratus) with the same engine pull faster than that but it could also be because the cars the engine is in are lighter. Not sure though
Hermle
Esta bien burra esa explorer tengo una 91 y acelera mucho mas rápido
I got a manual 91 ex and I love it for being a $500 purchase, I’ve been daily, driving it for over a year now and it’s never failed me for having over 300k
Beautiful case-n-chimes!
sounds like an emperor clock
Well that explains it. Someone I work with has a V6 with an exhaust. I heard his truck rev up but he never went anywhere. He has heart though. I drive a 2010 charger 5.7 hemi to work and he thought we were racing. lol.
How can you tune these? I have a 1989 Ridgeway 321.
Do you always drive in overdrive or is drive better? I don’t understand..
I’ve always been told overdrive is better as you’re not working the engine as hard, and it give you your extra gear for highway driving. Drive just uses gears 1-3 if I’m not mistaken.
@@RileyFlavoredSnacksdo I drive with the D or the D that has white around it ???I have the same car and don't know what D to use
@@malikaugust-hc4sz always use D (with the round) that’s the overdrive , the normal D is just drive and just like Riley says it only uses gears 1-3. You may, when in uphill conditions or towing just use D only, not using overdrive gets you worse MPG though because higher rpm’s.
its there to get the revs down at a certain speed, to save fuel .. nothing more .. you should turn it on when you reach the speed, not while accelerating
When I drive my 91 explorer I usually, put it in overdrive when I reach 55 mph to go faster on the highway normally. when I'm just going around town tho I just use "drive " between speeds of 0 to 50mph. it has 112,543miles, it's been very reliable to me, i get 14 mpg in city and 20 hwy mpg
8.5 seconds, this must be in eco mode? I've seen plenty of caravans get in the low to mid 7 seconds
1991 was the first year for the Explorer. It replaced the Bronco II.
Those are a quick SUV for 1991
I have a mint one i got for $3000 40,000 miles and man i love it I’m so scared to have it as a daily rn

good old 4.3L it will eventually get there
քʀօʍօֆʍ 🤷
You can tell this is older because the chimes have more chorus and vibrato in it.
She hasn’t aged well. Brand new it was 8.5 seconds. I had a Stratus with the 2.5 V6. Just barely beat the Stratus with the 2.4 4 cylinder back then.
I love that whine the engine makes at 5k rpms
My grandma's clock has these rods
I was worried when my 00 silverado did 11 seconds 0-60. Now, not so much
Papa Vern Fowler Has One And Auntie barbie too
I like how the second chime sounds just like BIg Ben's lowest quarter bell.
What’s the mileage? Any issues? Looking at a 2011 Grand Caravan Mainstreet tomorrow!
This is a company workhorse, with almost 165,000 miles. It's done us well but it's days are certainly numbered. It's started having more and more problems like the fuel pump relay, and the transmission is beginning to go.
@@RileyFlavoredSnacks I noticed on one of shifts it flaired, thanks for the response
This is beautiful
My clock use hermle 1171 850
I saved a 1986 Ridgeway 225 with a CC-1161-853-114CM movement. The original price was $299.99 but after six weeks at that price it is reduced to $1.00 of dollar Thursday. It is missing the three weights, key and winding knob. Other than that it looks OK. Can someone tell me the correct weight of the left, center, and right weights? First I want to insure it runs, if I apply a little down pressure on the center cable and swing the pendulum it will run until I release the down pressure. Weights are expensive and I want to be sure everything is running, time and chimes before I spring for the official weights. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it. Thanks HH
It is gonna be different for each clock, but the manual for my specific clock says that there are two "light weights" at approx. 6 pounds 10 ounces, and a "heavy weight" at approx. 9 pounds 14 ounces, which has a 1.5 pound insert. the order is light light heavy, the two lights for the strike and time, and the heavy for the chimes. as for specific measurements i am unsure but i believe you can get the model number for the clock and movement and get ahold of ridgeway for the proper weight and dimensions. as for the key and winding key you can check the attached website for keys and winding keys specific to the clock and movement. www.clockworks.com/product/polished-clock-weight www.clockworks.com/product/clock-door-key www.clockworks.com/product/walnut-grandfather-clock-crank
@H H can i see it
God that clock sure has real chime rods
It’s a really nice sound
At 0:00 my 1990 Ridgeway 322 chimes 15 minutes I swear
Ouch, even my 4.6 triton V8 is faster than that
What a beautiful chime! You might want to consider getting that pendulum in beat though. It sounds just a little bit off. The tick should be nice and even like a metronome. The best way to double check that is to record the tick with the back door open using a digital device such as voice memos. To get the clock in beat, you will need to test which way the pendulum is too far over to one side. To do this, gently lift one side of the clock a little bit while it is running, and then lift the other side in the same fashion. The side you lift that makes the tick get more even is the same direction in which you will need to gently bend The wire. There are several videos on TH-cam where clockmakers illustrate this process. This process does take time, so it’s best to do it when you have at least 10 to 15 minutes of free time.
Much appreciated advice my friend. Unfortunately the movement in this clock seems to be beyond shot, as no matter how in beat the pendulum is I can't get it to keep time, at best losing 15 minutes by the hour. It is currently a decoration piece for now until I have time to try working with the movement again.
Tori usually on pendulum driven clocks you can turn a nut on the bottom of the pendulum to adjust the speed at which the clock runs. If there is no nut on your clocks pendulum, there may be a small hole in the top of the clock face where you can insert a mini size key to adjust the time. If the latter option is the case with your clock, you might want to see if there is a clock repair shop near your home. Don’t give up hope on this clock getting repaired because my grandmother showed us a very old clock at her house that wouldn’t even run. My mother took it to a clock repair shop near our house, and within a months time they had completely rebuilt the movement from the ground up and it runs like new now. Surprisingly, it actually wasn’t all that expensive to get it repaired either. I believe we paid somewhere around $400 for everything.
What's the numbers on the movement? Is it like 1161-850 or something?
It is a Hermle 1161-853HS movement

My dad has this car can I ask why it has like the squeaky ish sounds in low RPM? Thanks.
I wish I had an answer for you my friend, but I have absolutely no clue what causes that squeak
@@RileyFlavoredSnacks I think it's the alternator.
@@geometryjosh21 depends if you hear it during acceleration like a squeaky belt thats your timing belt and i suggest to replace it or else new engine later if the belt snaps. If squeaky sound is heard only while cold started in park goes away while its warmed up. Could be a pulley. Or if you here a chirp sound squeal on 4cyl models its serpintine belt or your alternator and power steering belt.
14.5 sec lmao
@GENZILLA well you were at 18mph at 4 sec
