May Allah preserve the Ustaz and continue to increase his knowledge and rank. However, this is account is skewed and not totally consistent with the full history. The Shia are not a monolith group and not all of them are kafirs, The scholars have not condemned them all and we cannot issue a blanket statement on ALL of the Shia. The Ithna Ashari's and the Ismaili's are the problematic groups and we don't befriend them. But the Zaidi Shia's are not the same with them and they are bonafide Muslims. They might be deviant Muslims but they are Muslims, they might have a corrupt aqidah but the Zaidi Shia are Muslim. Also, the Shia's don't have an agenda to kill all Sunni Muslims. If anything they are a minority of Muslims and they lack any real political powers to go against us. Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (May Allah forgive him) was a great scholar and a pious teacher and our scholars like Imam Malik and Abu Hanifa studied under him.
