the two most genuinely menacing portrayals i've ever seen on the screen are richard burton as o'brien in 1984, and hugo weaving as david melrose.

Just listening to him really is a masterclass.

What the hell is wrong with the guy in the suit? He was so rude trying to interrupt to explain things, and his explainations were like so trivial. Couldn’t you have found someone who can speak both chinese and english to host? Like to converse with Benedict and explain things in chinese when needed. So unprofessional. The guy in yellow is, on the other hand, quite good, he initiates the conversation well and makes Benedict comfortable sharing his thoughts and swapping things, it’s quite natural, I think. They were talking quite smoothly until the host decided to interrupt and even step in between them. What a rude behavior! This would have been a good interview bcuz of the content and Ben was quite passionate explaining his things that he didn’t even know were packed in his suitcase 😂, hadn’t it been for the host.

personally im choosing to believe that sherlock aimed the “i love you” at john’s reflection in the tv, but it is a little bit of a stretch because we dont have enough evidence to confirm this other than that one shot. However I still dont think that his “i love you” was sincere with molly because later after the call ends sherlock starts destroying the coffin out of frustration from leading molly on. If his ‘ily’ was something for molly i dont think he wouldve gotten so angry at that kind of revelation to himself.

no actor with a sense of integrity and a sense of a genuine appreciative/critical conversations involving the artwork they have produced, would care for events like these where the interviewer is as mediocre as this. so i dont know if i should not respect actors for showing up to these fakeness, or i should respct them cause of how good human beings they are to tolerate all the mediocrity and end up creating magical moments just with conversation navigating through all the cringe and vain questions. anyways, this is the second consecutive interview i have come across where the interviewer starts off on an extremely cringe premise, the last one was about 20 million people watching sherlock in china(there are a billion people in china, to put in perspective how further insignificant this already insignificant premise was). onto the next one... hoping theres a sitdown of the cast with no interviewer. and i'm sure the chemistry and banter must be great amongst the cast present here, but i'm not going to torture myself to get to those moments. i have no respect for such interviewers or journalists. they kill conversations about artists and artwork the moment they start throwing questions about audience reactions and artist reactions; and statistics.
