Everything that a human does can be explained using just logic and evolutionary theory.
This is not psychology. Psychology is a failed project because it cannot explain mental illness, beliefs or the generative process behind a human action.

A belief is a mechanism. It has nothing to do with truth
I am explaining how manipulating emotional behaviour changes how we understand our emotions. If you want to be accepted by a social group, you tend to impersonate the behaviour of people in that group. This is potentially circular causality because I can be impersonating your behaviour at the same time that you are impersonating mine. If belonging to a social group is the reason for pretending a behaviour, then belonging to the group comes to seem like the cause of an emotion. However, the idea that belonging causes an emotion is a tautology because wanting to belong caused us to pretend the behaviour and the emotional consequence of belonging is therefore an illusion.

Misunderstanding Emotion - the four ways to do this
There are four basic ways to misunderstand an emotional state. Each of these is derived from a thought experiment that isolates the impact of a person (or persons) learning to either affect or suppress their emotional behaviour. The real world is not a thought experiment. In practice, we are surrounded by people who manipulate their emotional behaviour and we do it ourselves to some degree. The...
Recreating Psychology: humans are computational devices and do not function by cause and effect
Psychology has presented itself as an empirical science but has failed to fulfil any of its main objectives. This project aims to portray a human as a logical computational device. A human action is not a phenomena that can be described in terms of cause and effect; rather it is like a statement that has a derivation. By tracing the rational consequences of humans manipulating their behaviour, ...
Personality disorder has a logical structure
Psychology has no theory of the structure of a personality disorder. This video explains a hypothesis that personality disorder is the rational outcome of two things in combination: 1. In an animal, an emotion causes an action. However, humans can anticipate future emotions, so we do this backwards we calculate an action to cause an emotional outcome in the future. This is explained in more det...
Compulsive Behaviour - a logic model
Compulsive behaviour is a logical consequence of a particular way of confusing one emotion with another. This is a simple illustration of why mental illness is a logic problem, not a medical problem.
Pretending to be happy will make you miserable
Pretending to be happy is a form of emotional inauthenticity. Authentic emotions direct you to what needs to be changed in your life.
A logic model of mental illness
Psychology does not have a theory about the structure of mental illness. This project describes a theory of mental illness based in logic. Humans perform tactical deception with emotional behaviour, this causes them to misunderstand their emotions and this has consequences that can be deduced. Compulsive behaviour is a logical consequence of a particular way of confusing one emotion with anothe...
Why human emotions function backwards
In animals, an emotion causes an action. In humans, we calculate the action that will achieve a future emotional outcome. Cause and Effect are inverted.
I feel this on a pretty deep level, how could I regain the ability to strongly feel and express emotion? Like crying
Wow! Yes! This explains why I could never pin down my own anxiety even though I was anxious almost all the time. I had no idea what I was feeling or what to call it until my therapist started asking me every time at the beginning of the session how I was feeling and then when I would struggle with describing it, he would ask "Are you maybe a little anxious?" 😅
