Oh that poor horse :( understandable that the jockey was devestated. I probably would have done the same or just collapsed next to my horse. Accidents happen in every sport though. It's just a shame that horses legs are so much harder to fix than a humans :(

That's insane. I kind of get chills watching that!

At about 1:35 he can be seen dead last and starting that great run along the rail. At 1:43 turning into the home stretch he is obscured in the crowd. At 1:46 he is a brown blur surging foward and taking the rail again. At 1:50 he has the lead. The rest is history.

You're so right! When I watch the reruns I wonder what the caller was thinking. Mine That Bird just took off and passed everybody. Very poor call, and the caller's fixation on the favorites meant he missed the real drama. Viewers like me, who can't remember all the numbers/names, were thinking "Who's that horse coming up so fast?"

cmon guys, this thing what happened to Klip was really sad,but I understand the jockey just couldnt stand to look it him,as he loved the horse for sure and he must have know its over .. i wouldnt be able to deal with it either... its so sad. We had our horse on this race few years ago, so worried about him,but we knew he just loved the race. its not abusing, i dont think so, its dangerous, but im sure horses love races ..as long as jockey treats them nicely
