Treating Patients with Cracking or Fractured Teeth in Buffalo NY
มุมมอง 3117 ปีที่แล้ว
Today’s stress-filled life causes many of us to clench and grind our teeth and, sadly, that can cause fractures, which are the worst issue we currently treat. Tiny cracks in the teeth can cause nerves to become sensitive and make your teeth flex. As these cracks widen, bacteria can get into your tooth and can cause infection. When patients come in complaining of a cracked tooth, we first examin...

just had a root canal he gave me 4 numbing injections no real pain but then he went to touch the nerve and it hurt like hell so he went to numb that area and when the needle touched the nerve again it really hurt, and hurt a couple more times after that. was it so bad that i wouldnt do it again no but there definitely can be pain when he is touching the nerve and it doesnt feel good, im guessing this doesnt always happen but it cant be said that there is always no pain cause mine sucked and i have 2 or 3 more to go but that was supposed to be the worse one
I've had two root canals and have had to root canal fail...two different endodontists. I have heard that re-treatments can fail as well. I've read where some people have had root canals re-treated twice and still have failed. I cannot afford to keep having a root canal / crown done on the same tooth. I had one tooth pulled and I will probably need the other one pulled. Mother nature failed any living being who need teeth for survival. We all should be able to re-grow a new tooth if there is a problem or you would think that technology would allow some type of seed like implant that would start to form a new tooth.
The issue is mother nature build a cradle for us to heal and regenerate, nature, yet humans destroy that and build artificial environments and eat artificial food, then such problems and complex and barbaric solutions arise, its a never ending cycle. I have only heard of miraculous healings and regrowing teeth among those who live completely in harmony with nature.
I have just finished my dental root canal treatment. But unfortunately my tooth is infected after 1 month. I spent almost 300$-400$. I really don't recommend you to get root canal treatment from a general dentist. Go to a specialist!
👍🏼
Just returned from a dentist in Australia who said it will take 3000$ for a root canal
I followed Barbra O'Neil's advise when I had an infected tooth. Look her up on youtube. Helped ease the pain tremendously.
I am on my 2nd day after root canal but it's painful I can't😢
How are you? Does still hurt? I am also suffering the pain after root canal
That’s exactly why I’m getting it extracted lol
It’s August and I have to wait until October for a root canal 😑
Almost there !!!!
Root canal is a bitch. I had to have a retreatment cuz the first one had an infection so it was already in pain and now I’m in so much pain the day night of the redo I went at the night clinic begging for a antinflammatory shot. I had that which it helped tons and antibiotic for 10 days due to the prior infection. I rather give birth.
Not to mention they can be root cause for other illnesses bacteria can spread to the body become more resistant. The antibiotics dont treat the root infection that spreads. It can't reach the infection inside the tooth.
I had dealt with inflammation for a decade CHOSTOCHONDRITIS . They still recommend root canals. Three failed at the same time. By the time i decided on my own what to do two rounds antibiotics. I went to a different dentist because they did everything there. They offered to redo them costing thousands of dollars 3 rd round of antibiotics. Since then i had thyroid toxicity storm crisis, high blood pressure. Pains on my right side head to toe. Arthritis on that side, asiatica, titinus ear,. I have 4 root canals on that side. I just got 1 pulled out January 2024 had a black root was infectedand painful. Now on antibiotics again lymph node golf size ball no warning but my right ear had been minor pain. Im getting that lower right root canal tooth out ant the top two. Its a torture. I watched " The root cause " thats been my life spending thousands of dollars on health . They don't recommend root canals for anybody specifically the people with autoimmune illness. Profit before health .
So if you have an infection and need the root canal but that documentary says not to have one, what do you do? Deal with infections and risk sepsis? Your comment offers no solution…what exactly does I’m getting my root canal out mean?
@@catmejia6109probably means removing tooth. But, don't listen. If u need a root canal done. Get it done! If it fails there is always that option of removing. I was skeptical too but no one deserves to be in pain
@@xo7499 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾thank you

I just had 8 rotten teeth taken out today under IV sedation and it was a dream, I couldn't have done it without it. The last thing I remember is feeling the doctor inject the medicine in my IV and I remember feeling dizzy and warm and giggly then the next thing I remember is the nurse saying how are you feeling? We are all done and I was thinking what ? Holy crap that was NOT as bad as my anxiety ridden brain was making it out to be. I am so excited for the recovery phase and the chronic infections in my mouth be gone for good 👍 I hope Ill feel better too because the last few years I have had no energy or motivation and sleepy all the time. I am not expecting a miracle or anything but I know my body will feel better.
Can the swollen heal after I finish the antibiotics
Can hardly hear (with my sound turned up to highest level)
Same.
The fact that room is so cold made it even worse
Why hurts according to the dentist the nerve is dead But mine hurts like nerve pain ?
The correct answer antibiotic help to kill the bacteria and heal the infection..after 7 days you need to get the job done that’s means tooth extraction may be necessary.
Ty
Remember, Dentists are just doing a job. This "infection" can be treated if you actually are persistent. Unless it's really bad ...just go get it pulled
It's very very painful.... I just comeback from my 3rd day visit. And struggling with pain.
have a death tooth which not have root, canal is empty and got crown on it. 2 days ago drank cold water and now having fucking pain It turns out I have inflammation on my tooth. now dentist making an antibiotic syringe for 3 days and i'm thinking Is it necessary to remove an inflamed dead tooth?my dentist recommended to observe a week but i can't tolerate this paiiin😢
Why do you charge so much for a root canal whenit takes less than 2 hours total.??
I had 10 yrs of TN like pain on upper left. Went to dentist 10 yrs ago & said I must need a root canal. But teeth were fine! I was feeling electrical zaps when looking up. I had a small filling in area & not long after, the dentist replaced it, in case it was cracked. Didn’t help. ENT, Dr’s & dentist’s no help. Just had to deal w/ intense upper L tooth pain especially before rain. My head is a barometer! Fast forward to recently, diagnosed w/ fast growing & large cavity in back upper left tooth (#15). Needed root canal. I told them the tooth was sensitive to tea. They said warm temps means higher chance of needing root canal. The past 10 yrs, when my teeth would hurt, it included most teeth on upper left. I had the root canal & it has been difficult getting scheduled. I’ve told them for the past few months that I’m still feeling pain, but only when tapping #15 on cheek side. Endodontist said there must still be an infection. She didn’t give me an antibiotic at the time of root canal. I just finished 7 days of Clindamycin & I still have the pain. Endo told me her front root canal tooth from 15 yrs ago still hurts when tapped. I just want to make sure I’m getting the correct info before they place the crown. I didn’t ask endo, but with the roots being so close to the sinus wall, I’d think I need that roots trimmed? Thanks for your advice! I’ll report back.
my head is a barometer!😂
@@hfrt29 I’ve heard others say the same over the years. 😂 It all started w/ a bloody nose at age 12, right before a huge rainstorm. I get sinus migraines before a long awaited heavy rain. 🌧️

Before I had my infected tooth extracted all dentist were closed due to Xmas and so I went to the ER and they gave me that one mouth wash and fentanyl and man I threw that fentanyl away cuz I ain’t going to die like prince and other people. Later the next day I found and emergency dentist that was open cuz of my impacted infected wisdom tooth extracted and there was puss when they extracted it so they gave me antibiotics for that and man I ended up going to the ER that same day cuz I reacted badly to the antibiotics and it was freaking crazy cuz I felt like my organs and intestines were being pulled out, that’s how painful it was. So i stopped taking the antibiotics and I did it naturally. I used peppermint oil, clove oil, silver, and salt water. Man I healed right away. In 7days it closed up and it healed. No puss and no infection and check up went great. Except my gut turned sensitive due to that dumbass antibiotic and had to heal from that. Which is why I don’t trust antibiotics cuz some people really do need it but it’s a way for doctors, dentist, pharmacist and government to make that $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ cuz then people get worst or end up with more health problems by taking antibiotics when it’s not always necessary to take them.
If you can't afford to see a doctor or a dentist what you can do is use Grapefruit seed extract also Colloidal silver. I had a abscess in my tooth my face was swollen half of my face I took these things and it went away in about 4 days But I suggest you continue to take The grapefruit seed extract And the coillodial silver an extra 3 days after it goes away just to make sure it doesn't go come back
How long ago was your abscess? Did you ever see a dentist?
How do you use the grapefruit extract and the colloidal silver? Apply to problem area or swallow. ?
Grape fruit seed extract pills and I just took them as directed you could I actually added like a pill extra but you know just follow the instructions and then with the colloidal silver you can put like You know 2 teaspoons in your mouth and just keep it in your mouth for a while just squish it a little bit and then swallow it
I have 2 TH-cam accounts And I'm the same person that you Message I'm just using my other account just to let you know
Grapefruit seed extract can also be in liquid form however I heard it taste terrible so that's why I took the pills but the liquid form works really good too
Yeah i would say the same if i had your job. What is the use of this job anyway then But seriously i hear more people about damage than good and a lot of money wasted
Don't down play the recovery. I'm still in pain and it's been 3 days. I'm currently pregnant so I can't take anything but Tylenol. The worst pain and recovery.
I had a root canal done a couple of years ago, i had gone in for 3 sessions and the dentist hit a nerve, i can tell you it was the worst pain i have ever felt in my life. Swore i will never have another one done again.
root canals are literally removing the nerve from your body. So he had to hit a nerve.
This happened to me once. After about 8 shots in my gums my tooth just wouldn’t numb so I felt every bit of the nerve removal and was shaking and sweating from the pain and almost fainted. My heart rate shot up so fast. 10 out of 10 on the pain scale. Worst pain ever
@user-yi8zi1mz3l if u needed another one in the future, would you go through the pain again or just get the tooth removed?
@@Ehdydy definitely would get my tooth pulled next time unless I could find some place that would put me asleep.
@user-yi8zi1mz3l thanks, i have bad anxiety and needed a filling a few months ago, the filling came out and even though im in no pain, i am really nervous about my next scheduled appointment incase i find out i need a root canal
I got a few done, honestly doesn't hurt at all. fillings hurt more.
Fuck a root canal , they just pulled my severely infected tooth. Had a gnarly abscess, half my face swollen after, pain to the point of seeing stars. Couldn’t eat, sleep or do anything. They pulled the tooth, gave me a week of antibiotics. This is day 7 and I feel like a new man. The infection isn’t gonna come back cause they pulled that bich outta me.
That's what I'm going through right now. I had to go to the hospital. My whole face is swollen. I can't take it anymore
@@hfrt29 go to a dentist and get that shit pulled🙏 or you can pull it out yourself but I would not recommend that
Legit same problem right side of my face swollen
@@jayhoncho7276 it’s probably an abscess and they can be dangerous. A little while back, an abscess killed a healthy 27 year old man. I went through a couple abscesses without going to a doctor before this one and they can heal on their own, but it takes forever and they can spread the infection. To your jaw bone, to your blood. I gave this one 3 days to see if it went away.. it didn’t. I can’t even recommend waiting though. That’s what killed this 27 year old.
I got my infected tooth extracted on Thursday, it is now Monday and I still feel a whole lot of pain... I am taking antibiotics and pain medication, is this normal? How long before you started feeling better? thank you
I don't believe you doc
With all improvements in the health field, dentists are still not able to cure a tooth without drilling it. They're just their to make holes in our teeth and make them weaker than ever. Do they study years how to just drill teeth, or they also study how to remove infections inside a tooth. The world will be a much better place only if we don't think about getting rich!
Dentistry is not painless. Even simple cavities are painful for me. The shots (I need multiple typically), the drilling zings, the dentist not believing you’re not all the way numb, etc. I think I’d need to be put under for a root canal.
this is a lie. Root canal are extremely painful
It depends on the dentist. I went to a dental college in Augusta Georgia for mine, didn't hurt at all. But some dentist just do not care and that's the issue.
@TacticalIdiotChronicles the more you pay them I guess they care more
It hurts ..they r lying
recovery is painfull as hell, but the actual procedure you dont feel anything because your numbed up
One word...BENADRYL..if you cant afford insurance or to pay out of pocket. You may be sleepy for a few hours after you take it, but it WILL get rid of the swelling, pain, and infection. The pus from the infection is nothing more than poisonous mucus. The benadryl is made to help sinuses (a lot of it is controlling mucus). It worked for me within 20 minutes. Knocked the pain out QUICK, took down the swelling, and after 2-3 days passed, the abcess was still gone. I was finally able to sleep.
He's not wrong!
So how long will the antibiotics buy you after you finish the perception
Thank you! I wish all the Dr’s I have seen over the past 15+ years could’ve told me all my health issues stemmed from two root canals I had!!! I have suffered for years from what was diagnosed by an ENT as chronic sinusitis and allergic rhinitis. When all along it could’ve been MSEO, ( Maxillary Sinusitis of Endontic Origin)! Then I got Covid in April 2021. Here we are November 2023 and I’m still suffering. Covid spiraled my immune system and I developed more chronic problems since. Diagnosed with asthma, which I’ve never had in my entire life! Severe fatigue, brain fog, memory loss, food sensitivities/histamine intolerance, GI issues, severe congestion, yet nose runs like a faucet, loss of smell and taste, for over two years now, racing heart/palpitations, anxiety, and depression over my condition! Needless to say, I have sought out a biological oral surgeon who is going to extract my root canals ASAP!!! Wish I had known this YEARS ago! Could’ve saved me a lot of heartache and suffering! Not to mention thousands upon thousands of dollars trying to figure out what is wrong with me, going from Dr to Dr, procedures, and scans, bloodwork out the wazoo! Numerous Natural healing modalities! 😡
Why don’t they have a dentist at hospitals for emergencies. If someone has an infection and pain they can’t really wait a month or two to see a dentist. Also why do no dentists take insurance. I even have two different insurances
You said it man. Doesn't make sense at all.
Dr's agree oral health coincides with overall healthy living. So yeah wtf? $$$$$$$
I was wondering the same exact thing!!!! Because it is very much needed. They don't have to stay there they could be on call!redick!
And some dental offices wont even do emergemcies. Definitely ridiculous
@@xo7499mine won’t..I got referred to an oral surgeon
So...its not a matter of cost...
Thing about dentist: if there was a cheap easy DIY fix.. they wouldnt tell you about it & insist you pay them thousands for their fix theyre selling.
I’m in deep trouble. Like he said, it’ll come back worse. Boy did it ever. 3 days on amoxicillin and it has improved but still unbearable. Ibuprofen does nothing to help. I’ve tried every “remedy”. My dentist is booked for another 28 days. This is the worse kind of hell. Why can’t we be like sharks and when we lose a tooth, another come right back? I’m really considering just having these thing yanked out. I can’t miss another day of work. I’m boned man.
It really is hell. It takes my life away. Like its impossible to enjoy life, have relationships with people or see a meaningful future. I cant fathom how people make it day to day experiencing pain. Thats no life at all
Sounds like you need a root canal. See if you can get torodal to take down the infection
@@jamielc3437 eventually one was performed
It actually ended up being a gum infection. I had no idea a gum infection could feel like a tooth ache. I got a deep cleaning and ooz was drained out. Instant relief. A few weeks later I got the root canal done on that tooth.
I took 600mg to 900mg every 3 to 5 hours. Im not saying for everyone to do it cause it could hurt your stomach but I took them on a full stomach. Its so much pain you often need to take at least 800mg. Sometimes id alternate between Tylenol and ibprofin every 3 to 5 hours most times I couldn't make it past 3 hours. I would not push it too far past the time you start feeling pain cause it gets so intense its hard to control. Like I said toradol is way better and stronger but its not ment for long term
Yessssss!!! I had one on Monday-3days ago and still in pain trying to take ibuprofen every 6 hours, around the clock. He’s definitely downplaying the recovery time and how long it takes to recover. Just be honest!!!!

Root canals last a long time and at least its your own tooth. Even dead its rooted in deep. One can get a root canal and if they want change it 5 or 10 years later if they want. They probably will grow back your own teeth by then :)
