It’s to remind us that we just totally accepted their actions during clone wars show without thinking about it
That’s a good point. It definitely forces me to consider a lot about the different sides of the galactic war.
@@starwarsmusicanalysis legends was more blatant with this. With several planets civilian separatist uprisings being crushed firmly by the republic
@sirilluminarthevaliant2895 maybe in another clones series we’ll get more of these stories. Since it wasn’t actually about the regular clones, a lot of these stories were certainly missed in the greater galaxy.
Disney hurry up, this man makes good videos!
You tell em. Haha
In a way, the Bad Batch isn't over until your video releases, but yeah... TH-cam sucks sometimes.
Haha. I like that way of thinking. Thanks!
Perhaps splitting the video in multiple parts would bypass many of the larger sections?
Sadly it doesn’t work that way (I don’t think). TH-cam is identifying moments as short as 6 seconds. Usually I use no more than an 8 second clip and I’m good. But I was getting flagged for 6 second clips without any certainty that smaller would even work. You can imagine how that adds up quick and takes away from actually being able to hear what I’m talking about.
What to cody is he dead??
We don’t know how or when Cody died yet. (Someone might correct me shortly though.)
I liked it as a concept. The animation style was even better than the one from the bad batch. Altho it's almost the same style, just even more realistic, it is not the same style, as this one has some reflections in it, whereas the clone wars style that was also used in the bad batch deliberately uses only rough textures with no reflections. I personally love this new style and I hope we get some longer and better series with it so that it could live up to it's potential. However, if we get another series with the clones, I would prefer if they used the old clone wars style. It felt a little wrong seeing the clone armour in this series reflect light. So in conclusion great visuals, some great fighting sequences, but I didn't like the storytelling. I think that the story is alright, but the way they told it in the short episodes sucked. But that's just my opinion. If anyone enjoyed it, then that's great
I agree on all aspects. For me the visuals were beautiful. Except for the rogue Jedi in episode 5. Their face looked very rigid and blocky like old, old clone wars style. I figure they’ll just keep developing this style into the future. Even each season of the clone wars began to look drastically different.
Thanks for this video. I honestly almost gave up all my hope. I will be looking forward to it
Haha. It’s out there. If I have to, I’ll make a shortened version but I really don’t want to.
Thanks for making this video and I personally can wait for the video. Btw, loved the Bad Batch Finale
Me too. The end felt open but in a good way like Rebels was.
I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait!
Thanks! Hopefully it won’t be much more of one.
Fuck the Empire!
5:13 This theme, I just heard on a rewatch of "Shadows of Tantiss", specifically around 22:20 Where crosshair gets into the stolen shuttle. Not sure what it indicates, perhaps its just a general tantiss motif. Also, when can we expect a finale music breakdown?
Thanks. That could definitely be the case. My finale breakdown is currently sitting in copyright claim purgatory until Disney says it’s ok to use under fair use. I couldn’t find any way around it and it’s really frustrating. They have another 21 days to respond so…
@@starwarsmusicanalysis Ah rip, its ok, just display the sheet music on screen and we'll all sightread it XD
Wait what show is this?????
Bad Batch - S2E3
Honestly, I enjoyed your review. Wouldn't mind watching others of this kind sometimes!
I might make it a thing then at the end of a series or season. Just always want to make sure I feel like I have something to say.
@@starwarsmusicanalysis yes, it would be cool!
I don’t even know what show this is
The Bad Batch - S2E3
And its bo katan who is asking who's asking for help
It is. Which is why her theme enters next. But who actually shows up first?
I thought it would be. Didn't catch the motive but it made sense to me for Ahsoka to be the help, they called
It was actually Bo-Katan on the speaker. But Ahsoka was ultimately the one that shows up.
I was wondering why that sounded familiar
It’s what I’m here for. Haha
I personally thought the animation and music was really good but I definitely liked Tales of the Jedi more.
Animation was gorgeous and if we hadn’t been spoiled by the Kiners for years, I would have said how incredible the music was. But I know they can do better.
I didnt. Nice catch! They look so much younger, its crazy that its not long after that Manso S2 is essentially after this.
Thanks!
I think you nailed it on the head as to why we enjoyed TOTJ more than TOTE. Barriss and Morgan deserved a mini-series each to flesh out their stories, and have breathing room for us to get to know the characters and understand their plight. Now that you mention it, I would rather have star wars animated movie about the path than the Mando/Ahsoka live action movie they're planning to do. I would agree that the music overall is a step down from the Kiner's overall quality, but that last episode's music out shined the story it was made for. Maybe it's just me that feels like that. Imagine what they could've done if they dedicated more time into the story.
Definitely not just you. Barriss deserved a bigger story. Maybe she’ll still get one. I think a Path series is inevitable eventually. But right now, they’re trying to ride these stories for everything they can make from them. I definitely want the Mando movie because I’m excited to see that entire era wrapped up and to see how Filoni moves us towards the sequels. But maybe the next animated series will cover the Path along with the clones.
Morgan's first episode at least showed us how she became to woman we knew her to be in the Mandoverse. Not much to go on after that and no comment with Bariss's story either. Gideon should have had a story in this as well.
Gideon would have been great! Maybe they’ll do him later. There are so many potential characters to explore. I appreciated Morgan’s origin. But was she born there or do the night sister take in recruits? She’s not the same species as the night sisters we’ve seen before so I was curious how she even came to be a night sister. That’s what I mean by more questions. The show just seemed to take certain info for granted.
Is actually Bo katan if you put the subtitles on dummy
Very good analysis, gave me a newfound appreciation for this theme. Thank you for posting!
Thanks! Comments like that make it worth doing!
@@starwarsmusicanalysis I mean it from the heart! : )
The music directs your emotions when the Jedi are doing bad things as well. #ObiWanLIED
Mr. From a Certain Point of View himself.
star wars sucks.
So does your opinion
Then why watch the video? Haha
@@Rurek420 Hear em out, maybe they have only seen the newer stuff, like Ray, if so, understandable, @yakimandu5098, try watching the older stuff, try even watching the Clone Wars, best choice of your life.
I didn't forgot. From the start of this episode clones were bad guys for me and I was cheering for droids victory.
Same. It’s hard to root for the Empire, clones or not.
I think she died for good, because it's both logical and fits in terms of...art? barris was presented with an opportunity to become a dark sider at the beginning and now she presents an opportunity to lyn instead, so she could redeem herself.
But Lyn’s desperation to save her at the end seems to suggest that she’s still alive.
@@starwarsmusicanalysis I think it will be a blunder to keep Barris alive.
I had issues with Tales of the Empire where I didn't have issues with Tales of the Jedi. It was still really good but Tales of the Jedi was superior to me.
It’s not fair that it had to follow Tales of the Jedi. But it’s because we don’t know these characters like we do Dooku and Ahsoka. We can’t jump around like that with Barriss and Morgan.
Smash
Pass?
smash
@@starwarsmusicanalysis You won't convince me otherwise
Ain't no way 💀
The very notions of good and bad are a abstract/nonexistent and play a vital role in our manipulation. Both parties here are mere pawns of Palpatine's plans.
Well no. At this point, the clone wars are over, the republic is dissolved, the Empire reigns, and these people were just trying to remain independent. They were invaded. (This is S2E3 of The Bad Batch)
The entire clone wars the republic were the bad guys
From a certain point of view. But at least they were guided by the Jedi and had better morals on the battlefield.
When are you gonna make ep 15 of the bad batch?
I made it weeks ago. But my computer died trying to render it. I finally recovered the data from my computer, but when I uploaded it, it received a copyright claim. I made about 30 more versions, eventually cutting over 5 minutes of footage but could never get it to the point where it would be allowed to be shown. So, I challenged the original claim under fair use and am now waiting for a response which could take up to 30 days. I was really excited to share my breakdown with everyone and I’m just as frustrated as all of you. I’m really sorry that it’s taking so long.
@@starwarsmusicanalysis no problem man copyright just sucks
@user-fg7hz5bg6p it does. Totally makes sense why but I wish they could be faster in a response.
LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE
For 20 years or so
Andor. Star Wars for grown-ups. Pure art
Agreed. So masterfully done but I can’t imagine kids watching it.
@@starwarsmusicanalysis they’ll grow into it I’m sure. Xxx
Clones have individual personalities like the Jedi they could make their own decisions some made the good decisions to stay a true hero some took the worst decision and become something they thought they were fighting against
Indoctrination is a difficult thing to break.
To me the clones have never been the "Bad Guys", especially since the inhibitor chip arc
True. But we did root for the empire in this episode by extension.
Episode-?
Season 2, Ep. 3 Bad Batch
@@starwarsmusicanalysis ty
Wow wow wow. Sure, the story has its shortcomings, and it could've been spread out over more episodes to flesh out Barriss and Lin's relationship, but you just know the Kiners composed the music from this episode out of the love they have for the character. I loved the way you described the music in the cave, mirroring the illusion of being lost. The music was great throughout, but those final 2-3 minutes are just pure bliss, and in my naive mind, some of the best music the Kiners have ever composed. It'd be a shame if this is the last we hear of the Kiners in animated Star Wars, but if it is, what a send off it was. :')
I don’t think it will be. Disney is going to keep creating animated content and I don’t see the Kiners leaving that role any time soon. They may begin to divide up projects though.
I apologize for asking this under this video, but what about the Bad Batch finale music review now? Like what is going on with that right now?
Yeah fair enough. So my computer died while I was rendering it. The computer is toast but I was able to retrieve the file. But no matter how many times I upload it, it receives copyright claims. I got to the point where I cut out 5 minutes of breakdown and still couldn’t get it to pass. So, I challenged the original version under fair use and am waiting for a response from Disney. Im really hoping next week.
Thank you for showing just how great the score is for the entire Andor series
All too easy!
I think Vader should’ve been the one to kill Barriss instead of Lyn. It would have been more epic and ironic
I agree. And as he did it, say something like, “I should have killed you when you framed Ahsoka” And then Barriss gets wide eyes and says “Anakin” before he snaps her neck.
We worship and root for the clones. We also root for the republic but this is the day we root for the clones more than the republic.
The Venn Diagram has shifted.
I mean its war, someone has to get invaded lol For the republic!
But isn’t it only war IF someone gets invaded.
@@starwarsmusicanalysis Not only, you can have boarder wars were neither side is able to make any gains. And as for who is the "bad guys", I mean that depends on which side you pick. The separatist are shown many times invading home's and either killing/torching everyone or enslaving them. I know they wanted their "freedom" from the republic but they acted like Nazi Germany. So yeah.... republic=good guys. At least until the Empire comes in.
@marvincolonjr.7307 you’re exactly right. And that’s kinda my point too. These animated shows show one side of a war typically. But we wouldn’t enjoy watching it as much if we never felt compelled to root for one specific side.
Wars over this ain’t not republic it’s an empire
Personally, I find Barriss's stories to be perfection. To be honest, I predicted she would betray the Inquisition very quickly, yet it still evoked immense emotions in me. The only major flaw is the ending. I collected information for myself but also worked for another channel. I won't disclose everything, but I'll mention the three most important points according to me: 1. More than half of the fandom doesn't believe Barriss died due to Force Heal and an ending that left fans with speculations. Wookieepedia doesn't confirm her death. Interviews with the actress suggest future plans or indicate that the actress herself doesn't know if she died. So, what kind of death is it if no one believes in it? 2. Lyn's character needs Barriss. Imagine if Barriss dies. Fans will immediately start treating Lyn like Fox. For many, it will be personal. They won't care about her redemption and future story. 3. The potential of Barriss. Okay, she will probably appear in the next animation, but that's definitely not enough, and she would get plot armor if it will be set before Episode 6. Barriss is an extremely complex character; her morality is just a foundation that can be used for further stories.
I’m hoping they eventually create an animated series about The Path and include Barriss, Ventress, Quinlan Vos, Cere, etc. And somewhere in there we see Grogu as well.
Definitely got nostalgia vibes more than good guy vibes if that makes sense
It totally does. The clones wars 2.0
"They/them" Jedi 😑🔫
Who honestly cares? It doesn’t affect anything in the story. Making a big deal out of nothing.
@@starwarsmusicanalysis Well, I would say that Jedi aren't mentally ill so it's complete bullsh!t. The "bad guys" would definitely care about their enemy's made up pronouns lol
@zrecvelesa6012 1.) There’s nothing stating Jedi aren’t mentally ill. 2.) The mental and physical subtleties of individuals goes far beyond being able to make a rash decision about someone based on 2 minutes of an episode. 3.) Dark Side users don’t care about people’s identities. That’s pretty much a recurring theme throughout all of Star Wars. 4.) You’re still making too big of a deal out of it.
@@starwarsmusicanalysis Maybe but it really annoyed me. Tales of the Jedi were so awesome. Didn't expect Tales of the Empire be like that. This modern crap has to be in everything... All these episodes about Barriss were weird. She became flat for some reason and that redemption arc is starting to be boring. During the Clone Wars it wasn't a big deal for her to kill innocents.. Idk, at least the Bad Batch was excellent.
@zrecvelesa6012 I imagine Barriss as like a person in their 20s. They went through those times of the anger, had their tantrums, and then realized it was a big waste and that they blinded by anger. I felt the entire series was flat and it felt rushed. Filoni just finished Bad Batch and Ahsoka before this. Tales of the Jedi felt like a passion project. Tales of the Empire felt like this thing he had to do.
Glad some one picked up on it. The majority of the episode was made to feel like a Clone Wars episode, hence the music, set up, and characters involved. However, it’s not the same 100%, the music isn’t as bombastic, as of the composer is tired. It plays into the idea of a dying era, gone are the daring episodes of the heroic clones and in is the somber regime
Good call. I think there’s also an uncertainty for the clones, even as they go in unwavering.
For the Separatist Alliance!!!
They have to win eventually, right?
The clones are the good guys dude
But the Empire isn’t.
The clones were led by palpatine to gain the Jedis trust until order 66
Lol seriously. His sass and spite saved him.
How dare you effect me, gravity.
