This was an awful comic. So disappointing! I am a big Danny Rand fan. I thought it was going to be a proper celebration of the character And it was so lackluster. Everything felt like an afterthought… even the art sucked!

Ok. I have some real un politically correct statements at this point. 1 i have watched marvel over the last few months to years slowly destroy iron fist as a character. 2. A tv series that miscasts a character and basically makes him a hippie. 3. I watch them give the power of the iron fist to a african woman in heart of the dragon to apease those 2 market and immediately follow it with doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WITH IT! 4. Then we give it to a lesser known asian character to apease that given market. On top of it show how that character is so nice and kind to those of kun lun BUT be mean, beligerent,rude,crude and socially unacceptable to Daniel Rand to the verge of reverse racism because hr's asian and young so thats ok? 5. If you paid attention as a Iron fist fan, you ALWAYS knew that his role was finite and had a ending. But given the circumstances and that story a important question. If Daniel Rand did not posess the power of the iron fist, as the chi posessed Razor fist ( a shang chi villian not iron fist) stated iron fist is a mere mortal, did he truly kill a iron fist? Seeing the "bonus" that confirms a comic book axiom "No one really dies in comics".lol! Nice cover, some ok stories, a distinct ending (rofl) I can hear the meeting at marvel: "superman died and made money, iron fist needs more readers, let's kill him off like he is suposed to die anyway! Such is life. Nice bookend stories to a "meh" anniversary comic. Sucked dead donkey d______.

I’m a huge iron fist fan, but I have to say, I’m already disappointed in the new iron fist. They completely wrecked the character with this new guy. He doesn’t receive his training from Kun-Lun, he isn’t the champion of nun lun at all. He doesn’t even beat the dragon for his powers, which is supposed to be a sign of how good the iron fist’s martial arts prowess is. He’s just given the chi for almost dying and being revived. What is this sympathy chi? This is complete garbage.

You know...we've seen this stunt so many times with someone else taking the mantle and the hero always comes back eventually. With how Marvel and DC are being run right now I think this change is permanent, and I HATE it so much. Sucks to know one of my all time favorite characters will be relegated to the background.

I think Danny going to K'un L'un with Misty and becoming the new Thunderer following Lei Kung's footsteps would be a satisfying ending to his run as the Iron Fist.

Sucks that the only real good part of this book is the art (LOVE the new costume he wears for this run) and the first issue. Continuity, storytelling and the rest is so bad. I also feel like we were lied to. We were told that Danny had to assemble the Earth’s heroes to save the Dragons. So who does Danny get? His friends on the Defenders or the Midnight Sons or the AVENGERS? Nope, he gets some F-Listers. I love me some E-Listers, don’t get me wrong (Slingers are the GOATS of E-Listers). And we don’t even get to see the team up. We were told that Danny had assemble an army of heroes and that was never delivered to us. And I HATE that after issue 3, IRON FIST isn’t the main character in an IRON FIST book. I like Okoye, don’t get me wrong, but she shouldn’t be the centre of attention of an Iron Fist book. Also why didn’t Danny just get one of the other 60-something reincarnations of Shou-Lao that are just hanging out to give Okoeye its Chi? I’m all for 3 Iron Fists. Hell, make Pei, Danny and Okoeye a team of Iron Fists! I’d read that! But nope, dumb decisions must be made for no reason. I hate when stories are retconned, but unless someone can somehow make this work, I think this being retconned and forgotten to time is probably the best choice. Plus overall I’m just sick of Iron Fist stories having the main thing being Danny loosing his Chi. So much more can be done with this character. Have a story about him and the Thunder Dojo. Maybe he loses his money and his company and has to rely on Heroes For Hire and the Thunder Dojo to make ends meet. That’d be a cool arc for Danny. Way cooler than “WeLl WhOoPs! GuEsS i’M nOt IrOn FiSt!”

Im sure he'll get them back eventually but I'm really sick of Danny constantly losing his power's. He IS the Iron Fist. Period. Also why was Okoeye even in this comic? They have completely different duties and loyalties to completely different culture's and cities and peoples. It's almost like Marvel were trying to mooch off of the popularity of the character after Black Panther's success for some reason....🤔

On point. Terrible writing. Art was good but not great...still was the strong point of this series, aside from some of the covers produced. Iron Fist had no chance to shine in his own "self-titled comic" and was overshadowed and shown-up throughout with the ultimate goal revealed at the end of relieving Rand of his power and allowing a more "diverse" character to have it without earning it. I agree that he was written overall unprofessional, whiney, and weak. Ridiculous CRAP, IMHO. Wish I hadn't supported it. Very disappointed in Hama and Marvel. This character should have been shown to be an "untapped potential" in the Marvel universe but instead, I think they would rather give Shang-Chi some Iron Fist-like powers and ride that for now. All Marvel seems to do anymore is pander and dilute characters anymore instead of CREATE and build upon. It's definitely a dark time in comics across the board. I think I'm done with Marvel for now, especially after destroying my favorite character. DC isn't any better either. Time to focus on indie comics!!

Massive Iron Fist fan. Glad I discovered this channel

Casting was questionable. Finn was never convincing. And he was given bad direction. Season Two didn't improve enough from Season One. It needed to be completely overhauled. It needed much better fights, stuntmen, masks, costume. It needed to be Daredevil. And the ending was atrocious. And I don't like Orson, at all... never have.

This interview was amazing. I had faith in the direction they were going after the last scene ended, but I just needed confirmation tjat Danny was still the Iron Fist, the main character. I got it. Raven genuinely seems like he loves Danny Rand/ Iron Fist, and I hope that he stays as showrunner for as long as we get this show. In hindsight, I wish we could have asked him about Orson Randall and the end of the season, but I am still 100% sarisfied with the interview. I hope he comes back :)

Nice one, I wish I could have asked a few cuestions like: 1.- How about improving the Iron Fist effect by adding some sort of spiritual fire to the forearm? imagine it! white fire to colleen and yellow fire for danny! that would rock! 2.- What are the ideas for the iron fist costume? how about a custom dragon hoodie? or some sort of tactical bulletproof costume as DD?

I'd rather have acting prowess over fighting ability in an actor. So... I guess he's a nice looking fella? Just happy to have the show really. 😬

A Sabretooth fan answering the question. Sabretooth does have Adamantium. He got it back from the Weapon X program in the 90's. So characters hardly bring it up since it's old news. The writers for Death of Wolverine (2014) say he still has it. And it's his bones, not just his claws.

Nice Podcast. Ed Brisson did a recent interview and he does plan to get into New Constrictor, and why he's doing what he is. Brisson says New Constrictor has previous relations with Frank that are motivating him. He also says we'll see the Constrictor issue bring out some more human moments with Sabretooth later, who considers Frank the closest thing to a best friend he ever had. I'm enjoying the book for Sabretooth. I like him as an anti-hero. And sadly Greg Pak has ruined him in Weapon X -he nothing but the book's joke -like Meg Griffin in *Family Guy.* So thank God Brisson is doing something with Sabretooth, and making him enjoyable.

I've seen a lot of people who didn't like it, say that the show should have been more like Into The Badlands. so I started watching it, and thought "Hmm.. Cool martial arts porn, but no one fights like that for real, and the story.. Is okay I guess?" I do feel Marvel's Iron Fist had flaws, but made up for a lot with technical fighting accuracy and strong story building.

The new Iron Fist issue 1..shows hope. Power man and Iron Fist 14 was horrible...that title has been week, since issue 9. After reading 14, I thought, surely they are going to cancel this...looked it up and yes, it's on the chopping block, with about 11 other titles....it's a shame, I am a big Power man and Iron Fist fan from way back.

I agree with you guy and I support the casting decision. I have been a die hard Iron Fist fan since the Brubaker/Fraction run. Also being a Asian/Canadian, I love that they are sticking to the core character and all the haters can just suck it. #fanserviceftw
