Funny how the main bit of traffic you get stuck in at 5:52 at Wentbridge to Darrington when it’s 2 lanes and that section has the worlds worst roadworks and down to 1 lane at moment would double video length if you did it today

Amazing contrast between the 8 lane motorway in Cambridgeshire and the 2 lane single carriageway in London and Northumberland.

How did you get past Hinckley and Nuneaton so quickly!!! The A5 there is terribly slow and congested.

Watling Street crosses the Fosse Way at 4:25 This is the Roman Station “Venonai” (High Cross) which is the Roman Centre of Britain. There is an old monument here which marks this historic point.

That's better! I've done that road from Carlisle to Selkirk and Gala thousands of times and recognised everywhere!

I recognised Manchester and Salford, managed to miss Preston, Lancaster, Kendal, Shap and Penrith. Maybe a wee thing too fast.

The A38 and The A1 are both longer than The A30

Utter Shyte. Too fast and not worth watching. Cant see any signposts or even relate to where one is in the journey. Stop!

The old road via Shaftsbury and Yarcombe? BUT. . .didn't go through Heavitree and Exeter town down to Ide. Nor the old A30 road that back in 1972 took 3 hours in a Lorry from Exeter to Redruth so this is not a strictly accurate account of the old A30 !

It was much more interesting in days gone by, when it snaked through towns and villages, even up to the 1960's.

Always wondered whether the Road Numberer lived in Daventry and had an auntie in Ilfracombe and he designated this crazy road with one number so she would not get lost visiting him.

Despite the entire length motorway sections of the A1 being shown in this video, overall this channel doesn't focus on entire length motorways. It only does entire lengths of "A" roads and "B" roads according to the titles of this channel's videos.

Do people really go this way from Great Yarmouth to London??? Would they actually go on the A47 to Norwich and then on the A11 and M11???
