After a hiatus for like a year and a few months, I’m finally back to doing TH-cam videos.
Sorry about that, I’ve had a lot of issues going on with my life in the past and current time, and I’m trying to get myself back to doing this again. Now I have, but it’ll take a bit of a while to do so.
Anyway, I’ve decided to make a new video with clips I took a year ago at Clyde Station. This was while I was on my way to the Sunshine Coast for a holiday, with Sydney being a pit stop of the trip.

None. There's no bus route to the airport, so you'll probably need to get a taxi or shuttle bus there.

Good Video - I grew up living right opposite the main line to Kuranda and beyond, so I am very familiar with the older equipment that used to run past. The trip to Kuranda is terrific...couldn't tell you how many times I have done it! - I still love Cairns and miss living there (I left in 1978).

@@nickstransportvlogs We used to go to Palm Cove regularly - My wife and I holidayed there before our kids were born and in 2019 we took the kids to Green Island, Cairns, Palm Cove and Kuranda...such a beautiful trip. I do miss Cairns and the area as a whole...

Did the second Kuranda train from a few days later return long end leading or did they turn one of the locomotives at Kuranda? Normally the locos just swap ends at Kuranda.
I suppose they turned one of the locos. As I’ve said in the video, Queensland Rail permanently banned long end leading back, after an accident involving a driver being killed somewhere around 2021.
@15:39- WTF was that signal doing? It changed between green & red a number of times.

Great video Nick. Good to see another video again. It was interesting to see the differences between Victorian and QLD trains and how things operate. There are some interesting trains up in QLD.

Thanks! They stopped for around 1 to 3 minutes and I had to wait 10 minutes for a tram each.

At 3:15, What does sandwiching mean?
Sandwiching means locomotives are between both train or passenger set ends.

Great video mate! I am a resident of wallan and the station and crossing are my primary places to film! I am more of a crossing person, so at 3:27 heres my explanation on the crossing. The current signals seen in this video were installed in 2010, replacing old signals, which were also gated. The crossing equipment now includes: 2x Safetran Type 3 Electronic Bells. These are seen a lot on regional crossings. 2x Safetran gate mechanisms. Not much to say about those. 10x Westinghouse LED Lights. Nothing special about these, silver backed, seen pretty much everywhere. 2x Flat gates. These are seen on every single regional crossing, exept a few which still have Wishbone gates, which are seen everywhere on metro. 6x Western Cullen Hayes gate lights. Great video btw and a nice compilation of trains!

Thanks Luke! It does look like a bit of a tram but it is a track inspection vehicle, it travels throughout the whole broad gauge network of Victoria, like Bairnsdale Line, Lilydale Line and more!
