Since 2018, I've been an independent owner operator. I've been a trucker since 2009. My channel will have time-lapse videos of some of my runs and diy videos on truck and trailer repairs. Also some repairs around the house.

Never can have too much securement! If you got a random level one I’m sure the officer would be impressed lol
Nothing wrong with being too secure. 👍🏿👍🏿
All vehicles have a neutral safety switch let it start in both park and neutral 😂
You can start it in neutral
🔥
What year is that? Half the time when i start my 2015 civic in winter mornings I leave the door open, and just lean in to start it. Thats wild.

@@aftersolo so keep ignoring the trade in offers they make me every time I get my oil changed, noted.
@@HeyNostradamus definitely

Just buckle the seat belt
Saws all.metal cutting blades
That was my next option
We have an aluminum mig welder in our shop. I don't use it. In high school metal shop I specialized in arc welding. Everyone else did mig. If you can arc, you can mig. If all you do is mig then you will probably fail the arc test 😂
Sorry I only use blades that size, no gaurd and been at well over a decade now...
Looks like a newer honda. it probably just needs a new battery in my experience. they for some reason fail without warning and I dealt with this a lot.
Nice job. Looks like it'll work.
I'll stick with my dry van hahaha zero or one or two straps and that is good to go!
👌🏽
Looks great and structurally sound! Put it to the wind driver!
Thanks, will do!
I've done the same thing u do what u got to do
Trade places? I'd much rather fab a support than do what I'm doing. Between the multiple two that just started having cooling issues, the AC taking a dump in mine and the lowboy, I'm going to be busy for a while. If the overheating engines just need head gaskets we can do that in house. If the blocks and heads need milled then someone else has to fix them as I'm not an engine guy. The lowboy is going to be a pain in the ass. It has inboard hubs and two piece rims. We just had a tire changed not too long ago. Wasn't me but someone screwed up. The bolts that bolt the rim to the spokes came loose, the rim came off while hauling a logging skidder. I haven't seen it yet but I'm guessing that axle will have to come off and be sent in for a new spindle. Probably going to need new bearings, new race, new shoes, new drum and hub assembly, and going to have to scout the Internet for two used two piece hubs. This is all assuming the axle is salvageable. I won't know until the driver gets in.
I can't imagine trying to do axle work on a lowboy. There's no room at all under there. I'm not an engine guy either. I've done a lot of external repairs, but the only internal work I've done was an overhead. I just finished up the headache rack yesterday. Took 4 days and many trips to Tractor Supply. Trailer was in the shop. Had to get new s-cams, s-cam bushings, wheel seals, and spindle nuts. Everything's piling up this year. When it rains, it pours I guess.
@@aftersolo I'm sure the axle work won't be too hard, we have jacks and a pit. I have to take over with a lowboy we are borrowing so that means an outside mechanic will probably fix this trailer. We have one we can call into the shop when something is beyond what I can do. Rebuilding a hub assembly is not beyond me, replacing the spindle is. Hopefully it gets done while I'm working on this contract, if not that means I'll probably have to do it when I get back. Isn't agriculture work fun? You get to be driver and mechanic lol 🤣
@charlesbolin7207 Funny you say that. I grew up on a farm. My dad and grandpa were constantly fixing equipment. My grandpa would make parts sometimes either bc the new part was too expensive or they couldn't wait for the new one to come in. He made a front end loader for his Belarus tractor and custom made the octagon shaped piece on the outside of a combine header. There was always something that needed fixed. The shop they used was barely big enough to fit their Hesston baler in and most of the work they did under a big pecan tree. My dad was always working on that baler covered in sweat. Man, I wish I had a pit. That would be amazing. All I have is a one car garage. 😆 Guess we got to make due with what we have. At least I'm not working in the grass or the dirt.
@@aftersolo looks like plans just changed, I get to give my truck some love in the morning and then get to work on the low boy lol. We are not a farm, we are an interstate MC with 6 trucks. The AG work is just most of what we do. Ya I feel ya, if I'm on home time and have to fix something out of my garage it's a pain in the rear because I don't have a lot of tools at home, I certainly don't have 20 ton jacks or a pit lol. Home is 900 miles from the yard. Sometimes we do have to manufacture trailer parts. The baffles in the water truck we made in our shop to meet forest service requirements for a water tender. I hired on as a driver and kinda fell into doing shop work when our mechanics just couldn't hack anything more than an oil change, our log driver wound up in the same boat. You know what they say, if you want something done right.... Don't trust the shop, do it yourself. 🤣🤣
Lucas is some good stuff as long as you flush your engine from time to time but in cold weather it's hell on the ol starter 😂
Why not just trick the door latch
Hate the fact he had to say shut the door...
Should have a button that the door pushes to close the contact and activate. Use your finger on her next time !
DOT violation, the other side is not as shiny...😂😂😂😂
Omg everyone hes using ryobi, omg hes using craftsman not my Milwaukee. Holy bajesus you are not no mechanic you should find a different career truly disappointing. Man card revoked.
😔 😟 😢 😭
How did the door even open..smh..
Then she drove 2 miles away and hit a curb
I came to the comments to yell at everybody to pre-fill their oil filter.
Working on heavy trucks sucks!
Yup. Everything's way heavier and more expensive.
Find me a Freightliner without a rattle...
Im always worried about it sliding right out the back
Dude using his butt to push the car 😂😂
Nine freaking gallons of oil + one of Lucas my God. How far do you go between oil changes? I'm curious cuz that's a goddamn Fortune right there. Just an oil. Say $25 a gallon* 10. That's $250 oil change. I think I'll keep my generation one Honda hybrid
It's about $16 a gallon. I change it every 12500 miles. I own a 19 Honda Insight. Of course, it only comes as a hybrid. It's an amazing car. I get about 42 mpg.
Danger is safe if you know what could possibly happen😮😅
Lucas😊
2 females trying to get a car moved and started lol.
No pre-fill for me and I use Lucas religiously swear by it
I love Lucas too.
Lucas is just a thickener. Nothing else.
red loctite cause fuck the next guy
Really? I can push my jeep with one leg, still sitting in the car. Is this a tank?
The one with the green and white 😂. Glad you found a way.
You got it.
My dad took one of those apart about 30 years ago without caging it. It hit him in the face and almost killed him.
Jeeze. That's a hell of a hit.
Yeah those TS thread testers don’t work when the customers force their ruined fasteners in there
The fucked up vehicles the government has vehicle manufacturers makes they r dangerous as hell
I don’t care for lucas
I look at it like a new water hose with air in the line. Don’t sound good does it?
That is not a headache rack ! It a chain rack . A actual Headache rack would stop a load from going through the cab in an accident.
@jickmccivy6327 I honestly dont even know where to find one made specifically to stop forward shifting freight. Do you? Tell me where they are and ill check them out. The manufacturer on mine is Merritt. On their website, they call it a cab rack but also acknowledge that people call them headache racks. Most guys who I've seen picking up loads that require these have the same kind as me. They do have a warning on them that they are not to prevent forward shifting freight. That's what straps and chains and 4x4's are for. 🍻
Just latch the door lock and drive forward
Press the button for the door, it will trick the car into thinking the door is closed so you can put it into gear and move it then actually close the door.
Would've helped if ya put the damn camera down
