The larger context is something I've always been interested in, which is the intersection between reality and what your senses interpret about your place in the world. Here's the video we refer to: th-cam.com/video/hW8-ijjT0tg/w-d-xo.html, and here's a link to help you see this first hand: www...
Replace Github Copilot with a Local LLM
มุมมอง 136K11 หลายเดือนก่อน
If you're a coder you may have heard of are already using Github Copilot. Recent advances have made the ability to run your own LLM for code completions and chat not only possible, but in many ways superior to paid services. In this video you'll see how easy it is to set up, and what it's like to use! Please note while I'm incredibly lucky to have a higher end MacBook and 4090, you do not need ...
RTX 4090 Performance in 3D and AI Workloads
มุมมอง 5Kปีที่แล้ว
I finally got my hands on a 4090, so it's time to out it through the ringer! Like my past videos on M3 Max Performance, I want to see what this card is like in real-world 3D and AI workloads. We'll focus mostly on what it's like to use, and what I think are the key benefits and drawbacks. These guys are still hard to find and definitely not cheap, so let's see if it's worth it!

Restore MySQL InnoDB Tables
มุมมอง 1.6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video we'll transfer InnoDB tables between MySQL installations. This should be a pretty rare task and in my case, happened after a MySQL install severed the connection between the previous version and its data. Overall it's a pretty simple process, but please let us know in the comments if you have any questions. Links mentioned in the video: wget www.ipfusions.com/setup/percona-data-re...
RackForms - Using Web Services
มุมมอง 453 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video we'll show how easy it is to get up and running with web services. We'll create a simple service that takes a single parameter, then call that service using RackForms' build-in Web Service module. We'll see how easy it is to print out the values our service returns, as well use use the return for basic logic like populating form fields!

M4 Max update? Especially interested in the binned one, 36GB for less heat/noise. I have the M1Max and need 1:30min to generate a 1024x1024 SDXL with Euler 25 steps.
Helpful video!! I also use Blender and Stable Diffusion (next to Affinity and Resolve). Hint: Please add the numbers or charts visually next time, makes it easier to follow. Anyway, to confirm: You state that your own M1 Max (32c?) took ~40sec for a 512px SD rendering, and the binned M3 Max just ~6sec, is that correct? I use Auto1111 and DrawThings to render SDXL models at 1024x1536 and my M1 Max (24c) needs 2min per image, ough. So now I consider getting either the binned M3 Max (soon) or binned M4 Max (when M5-gen is out). But if the M3 would already bring such a major improvement, that would be killer. Can you test some Ai renders at 1024x1024 for me? Or anyone here reading this comment? <3
This is by FAR the best introduction to the key fundamentale of Cine EI I have found anywhere. A BIG BIG THUMBS UP !!!
Hey, what's the mac's app you said for image generation? i heard songy but I can't find anything... Thanks for the video, really appreciate these types of 'real-world' comparisons because raw specs don't really mean much
if shutter angle is set to 180 degrees how do you maintain consistent exposure unless you have auto ND?

Ollama vs lmstudio , can you make video on best coding llm, mixtral vs codellama
great video subscribed
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for covering details and differences that I haven't seen mentioned in any other review or video!
without shareable assets that we can compare with our systems, this video is just, believe my word.
Awesome & Thanks :)
dude i just missed a sale that made the asus almost the same price as the mpg by one day and it shipped so i can't cancel, is it REALLY not much of a difference or should I try to return my package when it arrives and order the asus
The lack of NumPad even on the big 16 in macbook pro is what keeping me away. Happy on my 17 inch full keyboard windows laptop. Cant go without the NumPad on Blender, and if i will use an external keyboard, then a PC will do just fine
Maxtech, you are seeing this? Watch and learn!
how to use stable diffusion on Mac?
more videos like these nice!
❤❤❤ Much appreciated Matthew. This video should get more reach and views.
Can you tell me which one is the more glossy screen?
I'm really looking forward to the m4 max mac studio(38 GPU)model
Get a RTX 3060 12GB for even faster renderings.
thank you
i was pleasently surprise to see that the performance is almost head to head with my i9-13th and RTX 3080 12gb machine. In Macbook, your VRAM is also your RAM, and that's huge. you'll never run out of VRAM if you have a unified memory +48gb I guess
Basically the video consisted only of talk. But it was very easy to understand. I am a Japanese who cannot speak English at all, so I watched the video using the automatic translation function, but I could understand it without any problem. It was very helpful to know which monitor to buy. Thank you very much.
Appreciate your thoughts on these, thanks so much.
This is not a test, this is just a product show!
It's the PG32UCDM, and they're 3rd gen panels not second. Otherwise great video, enjoyed the presentation.
Finally, someone is testing the M3 Max 14" 14/30, especially for Blender use. :) 31 seconds for the Blender 3.3 Splash, holy sh*t! I did a test on my M1 iMac with the same render settings as yours, it was nearly 9min. Can't wait to order my M3 Max. Btw when rendering, roughly how many seconds in when the fans kick in to be "loud"?
So what you're telling me is Copilot is having trouble having its balls drop...
great video. subbed 👍
Rest in peace to my wallet when I get off work
3:46 this took 14.4s on my 4070 Super, and the GPU consumed around 110W The M3 Max probably used less than 40W. Apple's silicon efficiency is amazing, but their machines are so expensive. You can't get their chip without buying their most expensive Macs Not sure how much it costs Apple to make the M3 Max, but it's probably less than $300. If Apple put that chip in a Mac Mini and sold it for under $1200, they'd start being a real threat to Nvidia. But it doesn't look like they plan to :(
yeah
Thank you so much for the review! I find the MSI was for $1k and ASUS was for $1.3k so I went for MSI, they works great so far. Btw you should add two of the monitor models in the title, this would makes searching much easier.
Thank you for the feedback! Title updated :)
Yea not sure how you came to the conclusion that the MSI is sharper. 4K is 4K and sharpness is a generic setting that just adds filter. I have both Monitors and the ASUS after trying the AW and this week the Samsung is still the king, everything about the Asus is just great and is my go to monitor for gaming.
A great call out - as you note it's not physical sharpness at the hardware level, they're the same panel and should be mostly identical. It's the sharpness setting in the monitors control panel. Manufacturers can choose and implement sharpness using whatever algorithm and degree they choose, in this case the MSI's lowest sharpness setting is a close match for the ASUS's highest level.
Hello sir thanks for the video and one question please should I go for MacBook Pro m3 pro/ max or legion 7i 2024 for coding ,programming and a bit like car rendering blender
Great review! What camera do you use for recording?
It’s the wonderful Sony FX-30.
All in all, you recommend the m3 Max for blender correct ?
My favorite part about the PG32UCDM is that there are two sRGB modes that target two different gammas being flat 2.2 gamma and the sRGB gamma.
Would quickly point out in SDR the ASUS also has a specific Gamma menu, ranging from 1.8 to 2.6. At least in SDR I do not find the ASUS lacking in color control or accuracy.
@@matthewgrdinic1238 I would say the PG32UCDM is the best SDR gaming monitor money can buy!
Awesome review! These are actually 3rd Gen Samsung panels.
Yes they are, thank you so much for pointing that out.
Good review, but you could do with some b-roll footage showing what you are actually talking about. I just have to imagine things now, for example when you talk about your preferred OSD menu, which kind of defeats the point (as it's so subjective).
Great point and sadly, while I grabbed some it was unusable. To put hard numbers the full ASUS menu takes around .3 seconds to load, the MSI about .7. These aren't huge numbers but if you're in the menus a lot, tend to add up.
What MacBook is behind you in the background there? Also, I’m waiting for the PA32UCDM, it comes later this year and it’s a OLED panel with 240hz refresh rate, along with an aluminum deign and more color accurate compared to some of the other gaming monitor displays(even compared to Asus’d own ROG OLED monitor using the same panel. Asus claims it goes to 1000 nits peak, but I’ll have to test that for myself. Overall I’m about to watch this video and Make an edit to this comment to give my after thoughts of your video. Thanks again for posting!
That's an M3 Max in the background - lovely machine with a truly phenomenal screen. On the Pro Art: huge fan of the that series (owned several in the past), so thank you for sharing as I had not heard of this one before. Spec-wise looks to be the same QD-OLED panel as these guys, so perhaps I'll make a follow up video after running this ASUS through my x-rite calibrator to see what delta I end up with. That said I'm super curious to see what it's refresh rate will be - I know you said 240hz which makes sense if it's the same panel, but it's odd that the press release no mention of this? Finally, like my professional LG OLED, the PA32UCDM's inclusion of pro HDR formats and hardware calibration is awesome, love those types of features.
can't wait for m4 pro max review
Hi there, what is the unified memory on this computer?
Hi @Matthew - Great content my friend. 👍👍 I'm a vfx generalist and editor who has been on a 2019 macbook i9. Now that I'm getting more into 3D for work; I'd love to get your opinion about 3D animation on an M2 or M3 and what specs are the most important. To confirm with someone like you, because I have a couple of friends that bought a PC for their 3D work because they thought they had to. Thank you for any help/advice. (Working mostly in Blender and After Effects right now)
LMAO 🤣 m3 destroys 4070ti and below. Apple on top
Bro 4070ti is 2x faster when using optix
So 4060M is still 2-3x faster than M3 Max ? 🤷♂️ Although it's 36-48GB VRam that you can use upto on Mac.
Very instructive, thank you very much
Good grief Charlie Brown
this is pretty much the only practical application of M3 ray tracing after being out for so long
what is your machine's spec? I have a M2pro but I can't even run 3bit quantization :/
