[Prepar3D] KPWM Harbor Visual RW 29 in the PMDG 737

An attempt at the Harbor Visual for runway 29 at the Portland International Jetport, Maine. I started the recording a bit late in the approach, but from where the recording starts, it still demonstrates its difficulty. NOTE: That crane isn't that tall, let alone it doesn't exist in real life. I didn't fly dangerously close to it because I'm an idiot, mainly because I had no choice. :)

Delta Airlines Boeing 737-800 Takeoff from Detroit (DTW)
On the 29th of November 1962, the governments of the United Kingdom and France signed an agreement to construct the ultimate elite flying machine for British Airways and Air France. Its purpose was to carry 100 passengers and nine crew at double the speed of any other commercial aircraft. They made it. Today, the aviation experts call it the Supersonic Transport, the flyers and the public call it Concorde.
Excellent! Another could be done with the SR-71....
GOLD!
Für alle Menschen auf dieser unserer Erde ☝️ Die Concorde war und das Beste Flugzeug was jemals gebaut wurde ❤
I put on the miniplayer while flying my Concorde in MSFS 2020 while watching this. Flying Mach 2 with afterburners lit. 🔥 Gonna do some barrel rolls to this music. Concorde, Queen of the Skies 👑 Power 💪 Sound 🔊 Speed🚀Afterburners 🔥Drop dead gorgeous hot futuristic design! ❤🔥 Update: Hell yeah! That was so BADASS with all the barrel rolls I made with Concorde! 💪 Looks stunning with afterburners on!

😇😍That take off climb at 13:28, sensational! Best video on Concorde on TH-cam by far, the crew doing circuits plus touch and goes in the RTW record holder as if its a Cessna 172. Stunning 👌👌
Like 156 com inscrição no seu canal 🎸 Concorde, o avião mais belo que já existiu até hoje.
Badass.
Flawless record except for a loose DC10 part incapacitating it. In essence, not only was it exotic, fastest passenger jet, an amazing piece of aviation machinery, it also was the safest.
concroed pog champt
I'm pretty sure this the first time I've seen a plane have to take the main runway - going the opposite way - as a taxiway. Only in Portland!🤣 Was it because of that RJ sitting there?
yep- and that's southwest for ya, no time to wait for the RJ
😢😢😢 che spettacolo unico e raro, sembra una machina del futuro 🤔 invece si tratta di una creazione del passato. Magnifica creazione spettacolare 👏👏👏💪🏼

Such a beauty

I believe it was 16F
She is such a beautiful plane, style, class, engineering and sheer beauty. You can't beat that 👍 😎 ❄
Landed on runway 36 this time as the main runway (11/29) is under construction. With 6,100ft of available runway, it made for quite a fun landing with the braking and all. Quality was not great on this also because it was filmed at night on an iPhone through a disgusting window.. So, yeah, not a great combo.
Actually, you had 5700' feet usable to land on because of the 400' displaced threshold. Pretty tight that is!
@@Matt-mo8sl good point! must have been a bit daunting getting in for the few months it was going on
@@mach2will I think 480' was the decision altitude for the RNAV approach to 18/36. There were some days where we were below minimums and Boston got a lot of the commercial arrivals. Some exciting crosswind landings also. The runway project made PWM an interesting place for a couple months.
@@Matt-mo8sl Yep, probably was tough for a lot of crews and pax during those months. I mean, it was almost bi weekly that there would be a huge fog layer that'd roll in and 80% of the flights went to BTV or BOS
Unlike that lost cabin attendant I'd want to be a tour-guide here. On your left is Portland Headlight with construction beginning in 1787 at the directive of President George Washington. Now; everyone move over to your right-side windows to see Fort Gorges, built between 1858 and1864... *Captain has to do a go-around because of weight-shift.
Nice job with the video. That certainly captured the Harbor 29 and all the nice sights you see on your way in.
6:30 😆
