It's not quite as long as Mark of Pride, but it only costs 2 notches (instead of 3). =) - Oh, the effects do stack, so if you want a super-long attack, you can equip both... but of course, that'll cost 5 notches. 1:15:50 Nailmaster Sheo - Yay, congrats on making it to Sheo! I was pretty sure you'd persevere through the challenge! ^_^ - As you've probably figured out (based on what they say), there are three Nailmasters you can meet. Sheo's probably my favorite, both because of his character and because of his Nail Art. - Of the three, Great Slash is probably the Nail Art I used the most... but in all honesty, I didn't use any of them all that much. ^^; From what I've heard, expert players seem to like the Nail Arts a lot, though... though I am definitely not an expert, so... ^^ 1:35:28 Millibelle the Banker - Nice, you finally found the bank! It's fairly close to Queen's Station, so if you're ever worried about how much money you're carrying, you can always make a quick Stagway trip to get to the bank! - Oh, on the subject of losing Geo when your character dies... unlike Geo, Relics aren't lost upon death. So it can actually be beneficial to hold onto Relics instead of selling them immediately. In my playthroughs, I tended to sell them only when I needed a bit of extra money to buy something. ^_^

50:14 Honour: Defeat the Dung Defender - Oh wow, first try! Congrats!! - I definitely didn't defeat him on my first try. ^^;; - IMO the music in this battle was pretty fun. It's kind of a heroic theme, but also playful in a slightly goofy way. =) 1:28:15 King's Station - Interestingly, there are two exits from King's Station that are marked with a Stagway sign (though only one platform is usable now). This is similar to Queen's Station, which also had two marked exits (and one usable platform). - Presumably both King's Station and Queen's Station were among the busiest stations, and that's why they each had two boarding platforms, when most stations had only one. ^.^ Nailmaster Mato's Nail Art: - Did you ever try out the Cyclone Slash (hold Attack to charge, then let go while holding Up or Down)? - I never used it much, but some players seem to like it.

23:47 (Bench, Howling Cliffs) - Just a quick note, since it looks like you may have missed spotting the door (or simply forgot to go back and explore, after the excitement of the Gorb battle!), but the room with the bench has open doors on both sides of the room! ^.^ 30:55 "if I dropped down from here would I reach Dirtmouth...? Yeah, I would!" - Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is the area you drop down from, in the prologue scene at the very beginning of the game. =)

(no Spoilers from gameplay past this video) 17:07 No-damage glitch? - Huh, weird. Not sure what happened here. It looks like you got hit, but took no damage... but you weren't healing at the time, and the Baldur Shell didn't take any damage... AND you gained Soul from Grubsong, which means you did get hit... so maybe some sort of weird "got hit but didn't take any damage" glitch?? ^.^; - Interesting... it happened again at around 30:57. - Hmm, I took a quick look through the HK wikis, but didn't see anything about a damage negation effect like this (I was thinking maybe it was some sort of undocumented effect if you have both Baldur Shell and Grubsong equipped... but didn't see anything like that in the wikis). - And by this point, the HK community has discovered pretty much everything about the game, so... yeah, "weird glitch" seems like it'd be a bit more likely than "undiscovered damage negation effect". ^_^ 29:10 "Baldur Shell doesn't seem to do me a lot of favors" - It's definitely been helping you out a bit! (I spotted at least 6 times when it protected you from damage during the Galien fights) - Though it does cost 2 notches, so depending on how you want to approach the battle (i.e. offense-based, defense-based, magic-based, etc, etc), other Charms could end up being more useful for the same number of notches! ^^ 32:01 "Everything costs 2..." - As much as I almost never removed the Compass (I'd get so lost without it!)... if I needed 1 extra notch for a specific build for a specific fight... I'd remove the Compass just for that battle, then re-equip it right after. ^_^ 1:48:31 Ooh, congrats! ^^ - I remember this challenge giving me a lot of trouble, my first time through the game... =p

(no HK Spoilers from gameplay past this video) (also, semi-long Comment warning!) 42:42 "I have to admit, though... that I really do like the Boss music for this." - Yeah, IMO Christopher Larkin did a great job with the soundtrack, especially with a lot of the Boss BGMs. One of my favorites is actually Hornet's theme, with the way the emotional tone of the piece (IMO) kind of feels like a mix of urgency and sadness, somehow... - Interestingly, I was actually already familiar with Larkin from his work on Expand, and hadn't even been aware that he'd worked on Hollow Knight until sometime after I'd already puchased the game! I was pretty happy when I found out, though, since I did enjoy his work on Expand. ^.^ 1:33:02 Oh, nice! Baldur Shell definitely saved you from some damage here... (also at 1:29:38, I think) 1:33:14 "Respect - Defeat the Mantis Lords" - Congrats!! - With the progress you'd made last time, I was pretty sure you'd be able to defeat them in this stream. =) 1:55:49 Cloth is one of my favorite characters in Hollow Knight. ^_^ 1:18:48 (Celeste) - Sorry to hear you found Celeste so frustrating. =/ But yeah, it's definitely not a game for everybody, even though some reviewers seem to think it is. ^^; - I ended up enjoying Celeste quite a lot... but then, I was already a fan of related genres, so... =) - I haven't watched your Celeste playthrough yet (currently, I've slowly been making my way through your Undertale playthrough), though I may watch it eventually. ^^ 1:24:16 "Maybe I can like revisit it again for the true ending..." (Celeste) - Hmm, lemme take a quick look at the end of Part 9, to see how far you got... ah, Chapter 7! - IMO the end of Chapter 7 is a good stopping point, since it basically wraps up the main story. =) As far as the rest of the story (no plot spoilers)... *** potential story structure Spoilers (if you consider story structure to be spoilers) for Celeste (no plot spoilers) *** - IMO Chapter 8 is kind of an optional epilogue (there isn't too much of a story, really), rather than a "true ending". It's definitely shorter than Ch.7, though, if you were worried about it being just as long or longer... - The part of Celeste that some players consider to be the "true ending" isn't actually Chapter 8... but rather Chapter 9... - Personally, though, I think Ch.9 is more of a "sequel story" than a "true ending", since it's basically a new story with a new conflict and theme... so IMO the end of Ch.9 is arguably the end of a second story, rather than the "true end" of the first story. ^_^ - However, Ch.9 is both extremely long and extremely difficult, so... honestly, I probably wouldn't recommend it for a casual playthrough. ^^; *** END potential story structure Spoilers ***

(no Spoilers from gameplay past this video) Been enjoying your Hollow Knight videos after I semi-randomly bumped into Part 5 (I think?), but hadn't quite gotten around to Commenting... ^.^ 8:44 Grubsong - Yay, you finally got Grubsong! ^_^ Grubsong's one of my favorite 1-notch Charms, especially for combat, where it means you'll be able to Heal (or use attack spells) sooner and more often! It can also be useful for non-combat situations like platforming challenges (more Heals before you have to seek out enemies or a bench!). Thorns of Agony - Though some HK players don't seem to like Thorns much, I've definitely used it to help me get past at least one difficult battle I can think of. And from what I've seen, it's definitely helped you out a number of times in a number of battles up to this point. =) - ...oh, including that Xero battle later on in this video, where I think Thorns were actually the winning hit (38:43)! ^.^ - A passive source of extra damage that one doesn't have to think about timing or aiming... definitely has its advantages...! 1:07:58 (and also 1:08:20) - Huh, I don't think I've ever noticed this before, but the two long mushrooms at the end of that platform above make it look kind of like a slug or snail... 1:36:38 Mantis Lords - This is one of my favorite battles in the game. It was a little overwhelming at first with how fast-paced it seemed, but once I got used to it, IMO it started to feel kind of reminiscent of a choreographed dance in some ways... which I thought was pretty neat! And definitely not something I would've expected in a game like this. ^_^
